¹ای اورشلیم، برخیز و مانند آفتاب، درخشان شو، زیرا جلال خداوند بر تو می تابد.

¹Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

²تاریکی سراسر روی زمین را می پوشاند و اقوامِ دیگر جهان در ظلمت غلیظ فرو می روند، اما نور خداوند بر تو می تابد و جلال او ترا درخشان می سازد.

²For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

³نور تو اقوام و پادشاهان جهان را بسوی خود جلب می کند تا شوکت و شان ترا ببینند.

³And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

⁴به اطراف خود نگاه کن و ببین که قومت جمع شده پسران و دخترانت را در آغوش گرفته از جاهای دور بسوی تو می آیند.

⁴Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

⁵تو آن صحنه را می بینی، دلت از خوشی و هیجان می طپد. ثروت اقوام دیگر از راه بحر برای تو می رسد و دارایی آن ها در تو جمع می شود.

⁵Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

⁶کاروانهای عظیم شتر از مدیان و عیفه و شَبَع می آیند و با خود طلا و عطریات می آورند. خدا را تمجید و ستایش می کنند و از کارهای او به مردم مژده می دهند.

⁶The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

⁷همه رمه های گوسفند قیدار و نبایوت را پیش تو می آورند تا برای خوشنودی خداوند بر قربانگاه او قربانی کنند و آنوقت خداوند عبادتگاه پُر جلال خود را باشکوهتر می سازد.

⁷All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

⁸اینها کیستند که مانند ابر حرکت می کنند و مثل کبوتر به خانه های خود بازمی گردند؟

⁸Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

⁹آن ها کشتی هائی هستند که از کشورهای دور می آیند و قوم برگزیدۀ خدا را با طلا و نقره به وطن شان باز می آورند. نام خداوند متعال را که قدوس اسرائیل است، تجلیل می کنند، زیرا او به قوم برگزیدۀ خود عزت و افتخار بخشیده است.

⁹Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

¹⁰اقوام بیگانه دیوارهایت را آباد می کنند و پادشاهان کمر به خدمت تو می بندند. گرچه از روی خشم ترا مجازات کردم، اما با لطف خود بر تو رحمت می کنم.

¹⁰And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

¹¹دروازه هایت شب و روز باز می باشند تا پادشاهان جهان ثروت و دولت خود را برایت بیاورند.

¹¹Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

¹²اقوام و پادشاهانی که نخواهند خدمت ترا بکنند، هلاک شده بکلی از بین می روند.

¹²For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

¹³چوبهای درختان صنوبر و کاج و چنار لبنان را برای تو می آورند تا عبادتگاه مرا تزئین کنند و شهر مرا با شکوه سازند.

¹³The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

¹⁴اولادۀ آنهائی که بر تو ظلم کرده اند در برابر تو زانو می زنند و کسانی که ترا خوار می شمردند، به زیر پاهای تو می افتند و ترا شهر خداوند، سهیون و مسکن قدوس اسرائیل می خوانند.

¹⁴The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁵تو یک وقتی متروک و منفور بودی و کسی از تو عبور نمی کرد، اما من به تو جلال و افتخار و سُرُور جاودانی می بخشم.

¹⁵Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

¹⁶اقوام و پادشاهان جهان خدمتگزار تو می شوند و مانند مادری از تو پرستاری می کنند. آنگاه تو می دانی که من، خداوند، خدای توانای اسرائیل، نجات دهنده و رهائی بخش تو هستم.

¹⁶Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁷بجای برنج برایت طلا می آورم، به جای آهن نقره، به عوض چوب، برنج و بجای سنگ، آهن به تو می دهم. حاکمانت صلح را برقرار می کنند و انصاف و عدالت را پیشۀ خود می سازند.

¹⁷For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

¹⁸ظلم و ویرانی را دیگر نمی بینی. مانند حصاری ترا محافظت و از تو دفاع می کنم و تو مرا بخاطریکه نجاتت داده ام، ستایش می کنی.

¹⁸Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

¹⁹تو دیگر به نور آفتاب، در روز و روشنی مهتاب، در شب احتیاج نمی داشته باشی، زیرا من، خداوند، خدای تو، نور ابدی و جلال تو می باشم.

¹⁹The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

²⁰آفتاب تو دیگر غروب نمی کند و مهتابت زوال نمی شود، زیرا من نور جاودانی تو بوده و روزهای سوگواریت بپایان می رسند.

²⁰Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

²¹همۀ افراد قومت راستکار و امین می باشند و برای همیشه مالک سرزمین خود می شوند. آن ها نهالهائی هستند که خودم کاشتم و آفریدم تا عظمت خود را آشکار سازم.حتی کوچکترین خانواده ات قوم بزرگ و نیرومند می شود و من که خداوند هستم این را در وقت مناسب فوراً انجام می دهم.

²¹Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

²²حتی کوچکترین خانواده ات قوم بزرگ و نیرومند می شود و من که خداوند هستم این را در وقت مناسب فوراً انجام می دهم.

²²A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
