1خداوند می فرماید: «در آن زمان وقتی سعادت و آرامی را به یهودا و اورشلیم بازگردانم،
1For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2تمام اقوام جهان را در «وادی محاکمه» جمع کرده در آنجا آن ها را بخاطر میراث خود، یعنی قوم اسرائیل محاکمه می کنم، زیرا آن ها قوم برگزیدۀ مرا در بین اقوام جهان پراگنده ساختند و سرزمین مرا تقسیم کردند.
2I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
3آن ها بر سر قوم برگزیدۀ من قرعه انداختند. پسران جوان را در عوض فاحشه ها دادند و دختران را به قیمت پول شراب فروختند.
3And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
4ای صور و صیدون و ای سرزمین فلسطین با من چه کار دارید؟ آیا می خواهید از من انتقام بگیرید؟ اگر چنین کنید من فوری و هرچه زودتر شما را جزا می دهم.
4Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
5شما نقره و طلا و گنجینه های نفیس مرا گرفته به معبدهای خود بردید.
5Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
6مردم یهودا و اورشلیم را به یونانیها فروختید و آن ها را از وطن شان آواره ساختید.
6The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
7اما من آن ها را از جاهائی که به آن فروخته شده اند بازمی گردانم و شما را به سزای اعمال تان می رسانم.
7Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
8پسران و دختران شما را به مردم یهودا می فروشم تا آن ها هم همه را به سبائیان که در سرزمین دوردستی زندگی می کنند، بفروشند. من که خداوند هستم این را می گویم.
8And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9به اقوام جهان اعلام کنید؛ برای جنگ آماده شوید و جنگجویان ورزیدۀ تان را فراخوانید و همه عساکر تان را جمع کنید.
9Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10گاوآهنهای خود را ذوب کنید و از آن ها شمشیر بسازید و از اره های تان سرنیزه تهیه نمائید. حتی افراد ضعیف هم دلاورانه بجنگند.
10Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11ای اقوام جهان، از هر طرف بیائید و در یکجا جمع شوید!»
خداوندا، جنگ آورانت را برای حمله فرود آور!
11Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12«تمام اقوام بیایند و در وادی محاکمه جمع شوند. من در آنجا نشسته و همه را محاکمه می کنم.
12Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13داسهای تان را به دست بگیرید، زیرا محصول پُخته شده و برای درو آماده است. مردم همه شریر شده اند، پس بروید و آن ها را همانطوری که انگورها را برای شراب در زیر پا لگدمال می کنند، پایمال سازید تا همه جا از خون شان لبریز شود.
13Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14مردم دسته دسته در وادی محاکمه جمع شوند، زیرا در همانجا روز خداوند بزودی فرا می رسد.
14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15آفتاب و مهتاب تاریک می شوند و ستارگان نور خود را از دست می دهند.
15The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16غرش صدای خداوند از فراز کوه صَهیون بر می خیزد و همچون رعد از اورشلیم غرش می کند. آسمان و زمین به لرزه می آیند، اما خداوند پناهگاه قوم برگزیدۀ خود، اسرائیل بوده از آن ها حمایت می کند.
16The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17آنگاه شما می دانید که من، خداوند، خدای تان بر کوه مقدس خود سهیون، ساکن هستم. اورشلیم یک شهر مقدس بوده و بیگانگان دیگر هرگز نمی توانند از آنجا عبور کنند.
17So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
18در آن زمان از کوهها شراب تازه می چکد و از تپه ها شیر جاری می شود. جویهای خشک یهودا از آب لبریز می گردند. از عبادتگاه خداوند چشمۀ آب فوران می کند و وادی شطیم را سیراب می سازد.
18And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
19کشورهای مصر و ادوم بخاطر ظلمی که در حق اهالی یهودا کرده اند و خون مردم بیگناه در آنجا ریخته شده است، به بیابان خشک و پژمرده تبدیل می شوند.
19Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20اما یهودا و اورشلیم برای همیشه آباد و پُرجمعیت می ماند.من انتقام خون قوم خود را از دشمنان می گیرم و از گناه مسئولین و ستمگران نمی گذرم، زیرا من، خداوند در صَهیون ساکن هستم.»
20But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21من انتقام خون قوم خود را از دشمنان می گیرم و از گناه مسئولین و ستمگران نمی گذرم، زیرا من، خداوند در صَهیون ساکن هستم.»
21For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
