¹در دوران سلطنت یوتام، اَحاز و حزقیا، پادشاهان یهودا، خداوند این پیام را دربارۀ سامره و اورشلیم در رؤیا به میکاهِ مورَشتی داد.

¹The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

²ای اقوام جهان بشنوید! ای ساکنین روی زمین گوش بدهید! خداوند متعال از جایگاه مقدس آسمانی خود علیه شما شهادت می دهد.

²Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.

³خداوند از بارگاه مقدس خود بیرون می آید و بر فراز کوه ها می خرامد.

³For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

⁴کوه ها در زیر قدم هایش مانند موم آب می شوند و همچون سیل از بلندی ها به وادی ها سرازیر می گردند.

⁴And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

⁵همۀ این وقایع بخاطر عصیان یعقوب و گناهان قوم اسرائیل رخ می دهند. سبب عصیان یعقوب، سرکشی اسرائیل و بت پرستی یهود گناه کیست؟ گناه از سامره و اورشلیم است.

⁵For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

⁶خداوند می فرماید: «من سامره را به یک تودۀ خاک و به یک جائی که در آن تاکهای انگور را می نشانند، تبدیل می کنم. سنگ و گِل آن را به دره می ریزم تا تهدابش نمایان شود.

⁶Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

⁷تمام بتهایش ذره ذره می شوند و همه چیزهائی که با مزد فاحشه های بتکده به دست آمده اند، در آتش می سوزند. دشمنان هدایای بت پرستان را تاراج کرده آن ها را در جای دیگر به کار می برند.»

⁷And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

⁸میکاه گفت: «من گریه و ماتم می کنم. با پای برهنه و تن عریان راه می روم و همچون شغالان از غم قولَه می کشم و مانند شتر مرغها نوحه می کنم،

⁸Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

⁹زیرا زخم مردم سامره علاج ناپذیر است و مردم یهودا هم بزودی به این بلا دچار می شوند. نابودی و بربادی به دروازه های اورشلیم، یعنی مسکن قوم برگزیدۀ من رسیده است.»

⁹For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

¹⁰این خبر را به شهر جَت نرسانید. نگذارید که کسی گریه شما را بشنود. ای اهل بیت عُفره، از فرط غم و شرمندگی در خاک بغلطید.

¹⁰Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

¹¹ساکنین شافیر عریان و سرافگنده تبعید می شوند. مردم صعنان جرأت نمی کنند که از شهر خارج شوند. وقتی صدای شیون و ماتم از بیت اِیزل به گوش تان برسد، بدانید که آنجا خالی از خطر دشمن نیست.

¹¹Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

¹²اهالی ماروت در آرزوی رسیدن روزهای بهتری هستند، زیرا خداوند مصیبت را به نزدیک دروازه های اورشلیم آورده است.

¹²For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

¹³ای ساکنین لاکیش، اسپها را به عراده ببندید و فرار کنید، زیرا شما اولتر از همه از گناهان مردم اسرائیل پیروی کردید و سبب شدید که مردم اورشلیم به راه گناه بروند.

¹³O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

¹⁴حالا ای مردم یهودا، با شهر مورَشت جَت وداع کنید. برای پادشاهان اسرائیل از شهر اَکزِیب کمکی نمی رسد

¹⁴Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

¹⁵ای مردم مریشه، خداوند شما را به دست دشمنان تسلیم می کند. آن ها شهر شما را متصرف می شوند و رهبران اسرائیل به مغارۀ عدولام پناه می برند.در غم فرزندان محبوب تان نوحه کنید. از غصه سرهای تان را مانند کلمرغ بتراشید، زیرا دشمنان فرزندان تان را به کشورهای دور به اسارت می برند.

¹⁵Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

¹⁶در غم فرزندان محبوب تان نوحه کنید. از غصه سرهای تان را مانند کلمرغ بتراشید، زیرا دشمنان فرزندان تان را به کشورهای دور به اسارت می برند.

¹⁶Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.
