¹در روزهای آخر، کوهی که عبادتگاه خداوند بر آن بنا یافته است، بلندترین کوه دنیا می شود و اقوام زیادی به آنجا می آیند

¹But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

²و می گویند: «بیائید که بر کوه خداوند و عبادتگاه خدای یعقوب برویم. او به ما راهی را که انتخاب کرده است، نشان می دهد تا مطابق آن رفتار کنیم، زیرا شریعت از صَهیون و کلام خداوند از اورشلیم صادر می شود.»

²And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

³خداوند دورترین قوم های جهان را داوری می کند و ایشان را تنبیه می نماید. مردم از شمشیرهای خود گاوآهن و از نیزه های خود اره می سازند. قومی بروی قوم دیگری شمشیر نمی کشد و به جنگ و خونریزی خاتمه داده می شود.

³And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁴هر کسی در تاکستان و در زیر سایۀ درخت انجیر خود، بدون ترس، در صلح و آرامش زندگی می کند. این وعده را خداوند قادر مطلق داده است.

⁴But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

⁵اقوام جهان خدایان خود را می پرستند و از آن ها پیروی می کنند، ولی ما برای همیشه خداوند، خدای خود را عبادت می کنیم و پیرو احکام و هدایات او می باشیم.

⁵For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

⁶خداوند می فرماید: «در آن روز مردمان لنگ و غمدیده را که از دیار شان رانده شده و جزا دیده بودند، جمع می کنم

⁶In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;

⁷از اشخاص لنگ و بازماندگان قوم که در تبعید بسر می برند، یک قوم نیرومند می سازم. من در کوه صَهیون، از آن روز تا ابد، بر آن ها سلطنت می کنم.»

⁷And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.

⁸ای کوه دختر صَهیون، تو برج دیده بانی خداوند هستی. او از بالای تو مراقب قوم برگزیدۀ خود است و ترا مثل دوران سابق، پایتخت سلطنت مقتدری می سازد.

⁸And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

⁹چرا فریاد می زنی؟ چرا مانند زنی که در حال زایمان باشد، درد می کشی؟ آیا بخاطر اینست که پادشاه نداری و مشاورینت همه مرده اند؟

⁹Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

¹⁰ای دختر صَهیون، مثل یک زنی که می زاید، از درد بخود بپیچ و بنال، زیرا تو باید از این شهر بیرون بروی و در صحرا زندگی کنی. تو به بابل برده می شوی، اما در آنجا خداوند به دادت می رسد و ترا از دست دشمنان نجات می دهد.

¹⁰Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

¹¹اقوام زیادی علیه تو با هم متفق شده اند و می گویند: «صَهیون باید نابود شود! ما این شهر را خراب می کنیم!»

¹¹Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.

¹²اما آن ها از ارادۀ خداوند آگاه نیستند و نمی دانند که خداوند آن ها را مثل خوشه های گندم در خرمنگاه جمع می کند.خداوند می فرماید: «ای دختر صَهیون، برخیز و دشمنان را بزیر قدمهایت پایمال کن. من به تو قدرت و نیرو می بخشم و شاخهای آهنین و سُمهای برنجی عطا می کنم تا اقوام زیادی را شکست بدهی. اموالی را که بزور و جبر به دست آورده اند، از آن ها بگیر و به من، خداوند که مالک تمام جهان هستم، تقدیم کن.»

¹²But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

¹³خداوند می فرماید: «ای دختر صَهیون، برخیز و دشمنان را بزیر قدمهایت پایمال کن. من به تو قدرت و نیرو می بخشم و شاخهای آهنین و سُمهای برنجی عطا می کنم تا اقوام زیادی را شکست بدهی. اموالی را که بزور و جبر به دست آورده اند، از آن ها بگیر و به من، خداوند که مالک تمام جهان هستم، تقدیم کن.»

¹³Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
