1ای تمامیِ روی زمین، خدا را آواز شادمانی دهید!
1Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2جلال نام او را بسرائید و در ستایش او، عظمت او را تمجید کنید.
2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3به خدا بگوئید: «چه با هیبت اند کارهای تو! به سبب شدت قوّت تو دشمنانت از ترس در برابر تو سر تسلیم خم می کنند.
3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4تمام روی زمین تو را پرستش کرده و تو را ستایش می کنند و نام تو را با سرود می ستایند.»
4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5بیائید کارهای خدا را مشاهده کنید و ببینید که چه کارهای مهیبی را برای بنی آدم انجام داده است.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6بحر را به خشکی تبدیل کرد و مردم با پای پیاده از میان آن عبور کردند. در آنجا ما از خدا خوشی کردیم.
6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7در توانائی خود تا به ابد سلطنت می کند و چشمانش ناظر امت ها است. پس فتنه انگیزان بر ضد او قیام نکنند.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8ای مردم جهان، خدای ما را متبارک خوانید و آواز ستایش او را بشنوانید.
8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9او به جانهای ما حیات می بخشد و نمی گذارد که پاهای ما لغزش خورَد.
9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10تو ای خدا، ما را آزمایش کردی و چون نقره ای که در کوره تصفیه می شود ما را پاک ساختی.
10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11تو ما را به دام درآوردی و بار سنگینی را بر پشت های ما نهادی.
11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12مردمان را بر سر ما مسلط ساختی و به آتش و آب درآمدیم. اما سرانجام ما را به یک جای آرام و پُر برکت آوردی.
12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
13به خانۀ تو با قربانی های سوختنی می آیم و به وعده های خود وفا می کنم.
13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14وعده های که در ایام سختی، لبهای خود را بر آن ها گشودم و به زبان خود آوردم.
14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15قربانی های سوختنی پرواری را نزد تو می گذرانم. گوساله ها و بزها را با دود قوچها ذبح می کنم.
15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
16ای همۀ خداترسان بیائید و بشنوید تا شما را از آنچه خدا برای جان من کرده است آگاه سازم.
16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17با دهانم نزد او آواز خود را بلند کردم و سرود ستایش بر زبان من بود.
17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18اگر شرارت را در دل خود نگه می داشتم، خداوند دعایم را نمی شنید.
18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19اما خدا دعای مرا شنیده است و به آواز دعای من توجه فرموده.متبارک باد خدا که دعای مرا رد نکرده و رحمت خویش را از من دریغ نداشته است.
19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20متبارک باد خدا که دعای مرا رد نکرده و رحمت خویش را از من دریغ نداشته است.
20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
