¹But concerning spiritual [manifestations], brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant.

¹Karon mahatungod sa mga hiyas nga espirituhanon, dili ako buot, mga igsoon, nga kamo dili manghibalo.

²Ye know that when ye were [of the] nations [ye were] led away to dumb idols, in whatever way ye might be led.

²Hingsayran ninyo, nga sa mga Gentil pa kamo, gipanagdaldal kamo ngadto sa mga diosdios nga amang sa bisan unsa nga paagi ang pagdaldal kaninyo.

³I give you therefore to know, that no one, speaking in [the power of the] Spirit of God, says, Curse [on] Jesus; and no one can say, Lord Jesus, unless in [the power of the] Holy Spirit.

³Tungod niana ginapaila ko kaninyo, nga walay tawo nga sa nagasulti siya sa Espiritu sa Dios, makapamulong: Si Jesus tinunglo; ug walay tawo nga makapamulong: Si Jesus mao ang Ginoo, kondili pinaagi sa Espiritu Santo.

⁴But there are distinctions of gifts, but the same Spirit;

⁴Karon may nagakalainlaing mga hiyas, apan mao ra nga Espiritu.

⁵and there are distinctions of services, and the same Lord;

⁵Ug may nagakalainlaing mga pag-alagad, apan mao ra nga Ginoo.

⁶and there are distinctions of operations, but the same God who operates all things in all.

⁶Ug may nagakalainlaing mga bulohaton; apan mao ra nga Dios ang nagabuhat sa tanang mga butang nga diha sa tanan.

⁷But to each the manifestation of the Spirit is given for profit.

⁷Apan ang pagpahayag sa Espiritu ginahatag sa tagsatagsa nga sa kapuslanan.

⁸For to one, by the Spirit, is given [the] word of wisdom; and to another [the] word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;

⁸Kay sa usa ginahatag pinaagi sa Espiritu ang pulong sa kaalam; ug sa usa, ang pulong sa kahibalo, sumala sa mao ra nga Espiritu.

⁹and to a different one faith, in [the power of] the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healing in [the power of] the same Spirit;

⁹Sa usa, ang pagtoo sa mao man nga Espiritu; ug sa usa, ang hiyas sa pagpangayo, diha sa mao man nga Espiritu.

¹⁰and to another operations of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; and to a different one kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues.

¹⁰Sa usa, ang gahum sa pagbuhat ug katingalahan; ug sa usa, ang pagtagna; ug sa usa, ang pag-ila sa mga espiritu; sa usa, mga nagakalainlain nga pinulongan; ug sa usa, ang paghubad sa mga pinulongan.

¹¹But all these things operates the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each in particular according as he pleases.

¹¹Apan kining tanan nga mga butang ginabuhat sa usa ug sa mao ra nga Espiritu, nga ginapanghatag niya sa tagsatagsa nga iya sumala sa iyang kabubut-on.

¹²For even as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also [is] the Christ.

¹²Kay maingon nga ang lawas usa, ug may daghan nga mga bahin, ug ang tanang mga bahin sa lawas, sanglit daghan, usa lamang ka lawas; mao man usab si Cristo.

¹³For also in [the power of] one Spirit *we* have all been baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondmen or free, and have all been given to drink of one Spirit.

¹³Kay kitang tanan gibautismohan diha sa usa ka Espiritu, aron mausa ka lawas: bisan mga Judio, kun mga Greciahanon, bisan mga ulipon, kun mga dili-ulipon; ug kitang tanan gipainum sa usa ka Espiritu.

¹⁴For also the body is not one member but many.

¹⁴Kay ang lawas dili usa ka bahin, kondili daghan.

¹⁵If the foot say, Because I am not a hand I am not of the body, is it on account of this not indeed of the body?

¹⁵Kong mag-ingon ang tiil: Kay ako dili kamot, dili ako iya sa lawas; dili tungod niana, nga kini dili iya sa lawas.

¹⁶And if the ear say, Because I am not an eye I am not of the body, is it on account of this not indeed of the body?

¹⁶Ug kong mag-ingon ang dalunggan: Kay ako dili ang mata, dili ako iya sa lawas; dili tungod niana, nga kini dili iya sa lawas.

¹⁷If the whole body [were] an eye, where the hearing? if all hearing, where the smelling?

¹⁷Kong ang tibook nga lawas mao ang mata, hain ang igdulungog? Kong ang tibook mao ang igdulungog, hain ang igsisimhot?

¹⁸But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body, according as it has pleased [him].

¹⁸Apan karon gibutang sa Dios sa lawas ang tagsatagsa kanila bahin sa lawas, ingon sa nahamut-an niya.

¹⁹But if all were one member, where the body?

¹⁹Kay kong silang tanan magausa ka bahin, hain ang lawas?

²⁰But now the members [are] many, and the body one.

²⁰Apan karon sila daghan nga mga bahin, apan usa ra ka lawas.

²¹The eye cannot say to the hand, I have not need of thee; or again, the head to the feet, I have not need of you.

²¹Ug ang mata dili makaingon sa kamot: Wala akoy kinahanglan kanimo, kun ang ulo dili usab makaingon sa mga tiil: Wala akoy kinahanglan kaninyo.

²²But much rather, the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;

²²Apan labi pang kinahanglanon hinoon ang mga bahin sa lawas nga sa atong hunahuna labi pang mahuyang.

²³and those [parts] of the body which we esteem to be the more void of honour, these we clothe with more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness;

²³Ug kadtong mga bahin sa lawas, nga ginahunahuna ta nga anaa sa ubos nga kadungganan, kini sila ginasul-oban na sa labi pang dungganon; ug ang atong mga bahin, nga may ubos nga katahum, nagadawat ug labi pang katahum.

²⁴but our comely [parts] have not need. But God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to [the part] that lacked;

²⁴Kay ang atong mga bahin nga matahum wala silay kinahanglan. Apan giangay-angay sa Dios ang lawas, kay gihatagan niya ug labing kadungganan ang nakulangan;

²⁵that there might be no division in the body, but that the members might have the same concern one for another.

²⁵Aron walay pagkabahinbahin sa lawas; kondili nga ang tanang mga bahin kinahanglan magbaton sa sama nga pagtagad sa usa ug usa.

²⁶And if one member suffer, all the members suffer with [it]; and if one member be glorified, all the members rejoice with [it].

²⁶Ug kong ang usa ka bahin magaantus, ang tanang mga bahin manag-antus uban kaniya; ug kong ang usa ka bahin mapasidunggan, ang tanang mga bahin mangalipay uban kaniya.

²⁷Now *ye* are Christ's body, and members in particular.

²⁷Karon, kamo mao ang lawas ni Cristo, ug ang tagsatagsa mga bahin niana.

²⁸And God has set certain in the assembly: first, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers; then miraculous powers; then gifts of healings; helps; governments; kinds of tongues.

²⁸Ug gibutang sa Dios sa iglesia ang uban: ang nahauna, mao ang mga apostoles; ang ikaduha, ang mga manalagna; ang ikatolo, ang mga magtutudlo; unya, ang mga katingalahan; unya, ang mga hiyas sa pag-ayo; mga pagtabang; mga pagmando: mga nagakalainlaing sinultihan.

²⁹[Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all [in possession of] miraculous powers?

²⁹Mga apostoles ba ang tanan? Mga manalagna ba ang tanan? Mga magtutudlo ba ang tanan? Mga magbubuhat ba sa katingalahan ang tanan?

³⁰have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

³⁰Ang tanan may mga hiyas ba sa pag-ayo? Makasulti ba ang tanan ug mga sinultihan? Ang tanan makahubad ba?

³¹But desire earnestly the greater gifts, and yet shew I unto you a way of more surpassing excellence.

³¹Apan paninguhaa ninyo pag-ayo ang labing dagkung hiyas. Ug labut pa niini, igapakita ko kaninyo ang labing maayong paagi.
