¹But after the tumult had ceased, Paul having called the disciples to [him] and embraced [them], went away to go to Macedonia.

¹Ug sa miundang ang kasaba, sa tapus ipatawag ni Pablo ang mga tinon-an ug sa nakapahamangno kanila, siya nanamilit kanila, ug migikan sa pag-adto sa Macedonia.

²And having passed through those parts, and having exhorted them with much discourse, he came to Greece.

²Ug sa nakaagi na siya niadtong mga bahina, ug sa nakapahamangno siya sa nakadaghan kanila, nakadangat siya sa Grecia.

³And having spent three months [there], a treacherous plot against him having been set on foot by the Jews, as he was going to sail to Syria, [the] resolution was adopted of returning through Macedonia.

³Ug sa tapus siya makapuyo didto ug tolo ka bulan, ug sa gihikay sa mga Judio ang usa ka pagbudhi batok kaniya, sa molayag na unta siya padulong sa Siria, gituyo niya ang pagbalik latas sa Macedonia.

⁴And there accompanied him as far as Asia, Sopater [son] of Pyrrhus, a Berean; and of Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius and Timotheus of Derbe, and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

⁴Ug giubanan siya, hangtud sa Asia, ni Sopater, nga; taga-Berea, anak ni Pirrio, ug sa mga taga-Tesalonica, si Aristarco, ug si Segundo, ug si Gayo, nga taga-Derbe, ug si Timoteo; ug mga taga-Asia, si Tychico ug si Trofimo.

⁵These going before waited for us in Troas;

⁵Apan kini sila miuna ug nanaghulat kanamo sa Troas.

⁶but we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and we came to them to Troas in five days, where we spent seven days.

⁶Ug sa tapus ang mga adlaw sa mga tinapay nga walay levadura, milayag kami gikan sa Filipos, ug sa lima ka adlaw hiabutan namo sila sa Troas, diin kami mipabilin sa pito ka adlaw.

⁷And the first day of the week, we being assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed to them, about to depart on the morrow. And he prolonged the discourse till midnight.

⁷Ug sa nahaunang adlaw sa semana, sa nanagkatigum kami sa pagtipiktipik sa tinapay, nagwali kanila si Pablo kay buot siya molakaw sa adlaw nga mosunod; ug gitaas ang iyang wali hangtud sa tungang gabii.

⁸And there were many lights in the upper room where we were assembled.

⁸Ug may daghang mga suga sa sulod sa itaas diin kami managkatigum.

⁹And a certain youth, by name Eutychus, sitting at the window-opening, overpowered by deep sleep, while Paul discoursed very much at length, having been overpowered by the sleep, fell from the third story down to the bottom, and was taken up dead.

⁹Ug may naglingkod sa tamboanan nga usa ka ulitawo nga ginganlan si Eutico, nga giabut sa halalum nga paghikatulog; ug kay gitaas pa gayud ni Pablo ang iyang wali, kini sanglit nahinanok pag-ayo nahulog gikan sa ikatolong salug, ug gisakwat nga patay.

¹⁰But Paul descending fell upon him, and enfolding [him] [in his arms], said, Be not troubled, for his life is in him.

¹⁰Ug mikanaug si Pablo ug miduol kaniya; ug sa miagbay kaniya, miingon: Dili kamo magsaba; kay ang iyang kinabuhi anaa kaniya.

¹¹And having gone up, and having broken the bread, and eaten, and having long spoken until daybreak, so he went away.

¹¹Ug sa nahisaka na siya, ug nakatipiktipik sa tinapay, ug nakakaon, ug nakasulti kanila ug hataas hangtud sa kaadlawon, mao nga migikan siya.

¹²And they brought [away] the boy alive, and were no little comforted.

¹²Ug gidala nila ang batan-on nga buhi, ug nangalipay sila sa dili diyutay.

¹³And we, having gone before on board ship, sailed off to Assos, going to take in Paul there; for so he had directed, he himself being about to go on foot.

¹³Ug kami nga ming-una ngadto sa sakayan, milayag padulong sa Ason, sa tuyo nga didto pasakyon namo si Pablo; kay mao kini ang iyang sugo kay gituyo niya ang pag-adto nga magalakaw.

¹⁴And when he met with us at Assos, having taken him on board, we came to Mitylene;

¹⁴Ug sa hingsugatan niya kami sa Ason, gipasakay namo siya sa sakayan ug nakadangat kami sa Mitilene.

¹⁵and having sailed thence, on the morrow arrived opposite Chios, and the next day put in at Samos; and having stayed at Trogyllium, the next day we came to Miletus:

¹⁵Ug sa milayag kami gikan didto, sa sunod nga adlaw midangat kami sa atbang sa Scio; ug sa sunod nga adlaw midunggo kami sa Samos; ug mipabilin sa Trogilio, ug sa adlaw nga misunod midangat kami sa Mileto.

¹⁶for Paul thought it desirable to sail by Ephesus, so that he might not be made to spend time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

¹⁶Kay si Pablo nagtinguha sa paglabay sa Efeso, aron siya dili malangan sa Asia, kay nagadali siya, kong mahimo niya, nga makadangat siya sa Jerusalem sa adlaw sa Pentecostes.

¹⁷But from Miletus having sent to Ephesus, he called over [to him] the elders of the assembly.

¹⁷Ug gikan sa Mileto nagpasugo siya sa Efeso, ug iyang gipatawag ang mga anciano sa iglesia.

¹⁸And when they were come to him, he said to them, *Ye* know how I was with you all the time from the first day that I arrived in Asia,

¹⁸Ug sa miabut na sila ngadto kaniya miingon siya kanila: Hingbaloan ninyo nga sukad sa unang adlaw sa akong pagtunob dinhi sa Asia, kong unsa ang kinabuhi ko sa inyong kinataliwad-an sa tanang panahon,

¹⁹serving the Lord with all lowliness, and tears, and temptations, which happened to me through the plots of the Jews;

¹⁹Nga nagaalagad sa Ginoo sa bug-os nga pagpaubos, ug inubanan sa mga luha, ug sa mga pagtintal, nga ming-abut kanako tungod sa mga paglalang sa mga Judio;

²⁰how I held back nothing of what is profitable, so as not to announce [it] to you, and to teach you publicly and in every house,

²⁰Nga ako wala magalikay sa pagpahayag kaninyo sa bisan unsa nga mapuslanon, ug sa pagtudlo kaninyo sa dayag, ug sa mga kabalayan;

²¹testifying to both Jews and Greeks repentance towards God, and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ.

²¹Nga nagapamatuod sa mga Judio ug sa mga Greciahanon usab sa paghinulsol ngadto sa Dios, ug sa pagtoo sa atong Ginoong Jesucristo.

²²And now, behold, bound in my spirit *I* go to Jerusalem, not knowing what things shall happen to me in it;

²²Ug, karon, tan-awa, ako moadto sa Jerusalem nga ginapus sa Espiritu sa walay pagpanghibalo sa mga butang nga mahitabo kanako didto;

²³only that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and tribulations await me.

²³Gawas sa gipamatuod sa Espiritu Santo kanako sa tagsatagsa ka lungsod, nga nagaingon nga ang mga gapus ug mga kagul-anan magapabilin kanako.

²⁴But I make no account of [my] life [as] dear to myself, so that I finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the glad tidings of the grace of God.

²⁴Apan wala ko pagpakamahala ang akong kinabuhi sa bisan unsang paagi, aron lamang mahingpit ko ang akong tinguha ug ang pagkaalagad nga akong nadawat gikan sa Ginoong Jesus, sa pagpamatuod sa Maayong Balita sa gracia sa Dios.

²⁵And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom [of God], shall see my face no more.

²⁵Ug karon, tan-awa, akong hingbaloan nga kamong tanan, nga gisuroy ko sa pagmantala sa gingharian sa Dios, dili na makakita sa akong nawong.

²⁶Wherefore I witness to you this day, that I am clean from the blood of all,

²⁶Busa, ginapamatuod ko kaninyo karong adlawa, nga ako putli gikan sa dugo sa tanang mga tawo.

²⁷for I have not shrunk from announcing to you all the counsel of God.

²⁷Kay wala ako mosibug sa pagmantala kaninyo sa bug-os nga tambag sa Dios.

²⁸Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.

²⁸Matngoni ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon, ug ang tanang panon nga kanila ang Espiritu Santo naghimo kaninyo nga mga magtatan-aw, aron pasibsibon ninyo ang iglesia sa Dios nga gipalit niya sa iyang kaugalingong dugo.

²⁹[For] *I* know [this,] that there will come in amongst you after my departure grievous wolves, not sparing the flock;

²⁹Nanghibalo ako nga, sa tapus sa akong paggikan, pagasudlon kamo sa mga lobo nga mabangis nga dili nila pasayloon ang panon.

³⁰and from among your own selves shall rise up men speaking perverted things to draw away the disciples after them.

³⁰Ug gikan sa kaugalingon ninyong pundok manindog ang mga tawo nga magasulti ug mga butang nga balit-ad, sa pagpabulag sa mga tinon-an sunod kanila.

³¹Wherefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I ceased not admonishing each one [of you] with tears.

³¹Busa, managtukaw kamo; hinumdumi nga sa sulod sa tolo ka tuig ako wala maghunong sa pagtambag sa tagsatagsa kaninyo sa gabii ug sa adlaw uban ang mga luha.

³²And now I commit you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build [you] up and give [to you] an inheritance among all the sanctified.

³²Ug karon, mga igsoon, ginatugyan ko kamo sa Dios, ug sa pulong sa iyang gracia; nga adunay gahum sa pagpabaskug kaninyo, ug sa paghatag kaninyo ug kabilin sa tanang mga balaan.

³³I have coveted [the] silver or gold or clothing of no one.

³³Wala ako maibug sa kang bisan kansa nga salapi, kun bulawan, kun bisti.

³⁴Yourselves know that these hands have ministered to my wants, and to those who were with me.

³⁴Kamo sa inyong kaugalingon nasayud nga kining mga kamot nagabuhat alang sa akong mga kinahanglan, ug kanila nga uban kanako.

³⁵I have shewed you all things, that thus labouring [we] ought to come in aid of the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

³⁵Sa tanan nga mga butang naghatag ako kaninyo ug panig-ingnan nga, sa pagsingkamot kinahanglan pagtabangan ninyo ang mga maluya, ug pagahinumduman ninyo ang mga pulong sa Ginoong Jesus, nga iya gayud nga gipamulong: Labing bulahan ang paghatag kay sa pagdawat.

³⁶And having said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

³⁶Ug sa nakasulti siya niini, miluhod ug nag-ampo siya uban kanilang tanan.

³⁷And they all wept sore; and falling upon the neck of Paul they ardently kissed him,

³⁷Ug silang tanan nanghilak pag-ayo, ug migakus sila sa Hog ni Pablo, ug mihalok kaniya.

³⁸specially pained by the word which he had said, that they would no more see his face. And they went down with him to the ship.

³⁸Nga nagasubo sa hilabihan gayud tungod sa pulong nga giingon niya, nga sila dili na makakita sa iyang nawong. Ug ilang giubanan siya hangtud sa sakayan.
