¹The first therefore also indeed had ordinances of service, and the sanctuary, a worldly one.

¹Karon, bisan ang nahauna nga tugon may mga tulomanon usab sa diosnong pag-alagad, ug may iyang dapit nga balaan, dapit nga balaan niini nga kalibutan.

²For a tabernacle was set up; the first, in which [were] both the candlestick and the table and the exposition of the loaves, which is called Holy;

²Kay may usa ka tabernaculo nga giandam, ang nahauna, diin didto ang tangkawan, ug ang lamesa, ug ang mga tinapay nga gibutang sa atubangan sa Dios, nga ginganlan dapit nga Balaan.

³but after the second veil a tabernacle which is called Holy of holies,

³Ug sunod sa ikaduha ka tabil, ang tabernaculo nga ginganlan Balaan sa mga balaan;

⁴having a golden censer, and the ark of the covenant, covered round in every part with gold, in which [were] the golden pot that had the manna, and the rod of Aaron that had sprouted, and the tables of the covenant;

⁴Nga may usa ka incensario nga bulawanon, ug ang arca sa tugon nga nahal-upan paglibut sa bulawan, diin didto ang usa ka tibud nga bulawan nga gisudlan sa mana, ug ang kang Aaron nga sungkod nga nanalingsing, ug ang mga papan sa tugon.

⁵and above over it the cherubim of glory shadowing the mercy-seat; concerning which it is not now [the time] to speak in detail.

⁵Ug sa ibabaw niini ang mga querubin sa himaya nga nagalandong sa halaran sa pagpasig-uli; nga mahatungod mining mga butanga dili kita karon makahisgot sa tinagsatagsa.

⁶Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle the priests enter at all times, accomplishing the services;

⁶Karon sa naandam sa ingon kining mga butanga, ang mga sacerdote manulod kanunay sa nahauna nga tabernaculo, sa pagtuman sa mga bulohaton sa mga pag-alagad.

⁷but into the second, the high priest only, once a year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the errors of the people:

⁷Apan ngadto sa ikaduha ang labawng sacerdote lamang, sa makausa ra sa usa ka tuig, dili sa walay dugo nga gihalad niya alang sa iyang kaugalingon, ug alang sa mga kasaypanan sa katawohan:

⁸the Holy Spirit shewing this, that the way of the [holy of] holies has not yet been made manifest while as yet the first tabernacle has [its] standing;

⁸Ang Espiritu Santo niini nagapaila nga ang dalan ngadto sa dapit nga balaan wala pa ipadayag, samtang nagatindog pa ang nahauna nga tabernaculo;

⁹the which [is] an image for the present time, according to which both gifts and sacrifices, unable to perfect as to conscience him that worshipped, are offered,

⁹Nga maoy usa ka dagway alang niining panahona karon; nga sumala niadto gihalad ang mga gasa ug mga halad, nga mahitungod sa kaisipan, dili makahingpit sa magsisimba,

¹⁰[consisting] only of meats and drinks and divers washings, ordinances of flesh, imposed until [the] time of setting things right.

¹⁰Sanglit (uban sa mga kalan-on ug mga ilimnon ug mga nagkalainlaing mga paghugas) mga tulomanon nga lawasnon nga ginapatuman hangtud sa panahon sa pagpabag-o.

¹¹But Christ being come high priest of the good things to come, by the better and more perfect tabernacle not made with hand, (that is, not of this creation,)

¹¹Apan si Cristo nga miabut nga usa ka labawng sacerdote sa mga maayong butang nga palaabuton, pinaagi sa labing daku ug labing hingpit nga tabernaculo, nga dili binuhat sa mga kamot, nga kong sayron, dili niining pagkabuhata,

¹²nor by blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, has entered in once for all into the [holy of] holies, having found an eternal redemption.

¹²Dili usab pinaagi sa dugo sa mga kanding ni sa mga nating vaca, kondili pinaagi sa iyang kaugalingong dugo, misulod sa makausa nga sa gihapon ngadto sa dapit nga balaan, sa nakab-ut niya ang walay-katapusan nga pagtubos.

¹³For if the blood of goats and bulls, and a heifer's ashes sprinkling the defiled, sanctifies for the purity of the flesh,

¹³Kay kong ang dugo sa mga kanding ug mga vaca nga toro, ug ang mga abo sa usa ka dumalaga nga vaca nga gisablig kanila nga mga nahugaw, nagapabalaan ngadto sa pagkahinlo sa unod:

¹⁴how much rather shall the blood of the Christ, who by the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works to worship [the] living God?

¹⁴Dili ba labaw pa gayud ang dugo ni Cristo, nga pinaagi sa Espiritu nga walay katapusan naghalad sa iyang kaugalingon nga walay buling ngadto sa Dios, magahinlo sa inyong kaisipan gikan sa patay nga mga buhat aron sa pag-alagad sa Dios nga buhi?

¹⁵And for this reason he is mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, the called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

¹⁵Ug tungod niining hinungdan siya mao ang Manlalaban sa usa ka bag-ong tugon, sa nahitabo ang kamatayon alang sa pagtubos sa mga paglapas nga nahisakup sa nahauna nga tugon, ang mga gitawag makadawat sa saad sa panulondon nga walay katapusan.

¹⁶(For where [there is] a testament, the death of the testator must needs come in.

¹⁶Kay kong hain ang tugon, didto kinahanglan mahitabo ang kamatayon sa nagahimo niini.

¹⁷For a testament [is] of force when men are dead, since it is in no way of force while the testator is alive.)

¹⁷Kay ang tugon tungod sa kamatayon mapalig-on: kay kini dili magapulos samtang ang nagabuhat niini buhi pa.

¹⁸Whence neither the first was inaugurated without blood.

¹⁸Tungod niana, bisan pa ang nahauna nga tugon wala ikapahanungod nga walay dugo.

¹⁹For every commandment having been spoken according to [the] law by Moses to all the people; having taken the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, he sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

¹⁹Kay sa gikamantala na ni Moises ang tagsatagsa ka sugo ngadto sa katawohan sumala sa Kasugoan, mikuha siya sa dugo sa mga nating vaca, ug sa mga kanding, uban ang tubig ug balhibo nga mapula ug hisopo, ug gisablig sa basahon ug sa katawohan usab,

²⁰saying, This [is] the blood of the covenant which God has enjoined to you.

²⁰Nga nagaingon: Kini mao ang dugo sa tugon nga gisugo sa Dios nganha kaninyo.

²¹And the tabernacle too and all the vessels of service he sprinkled in like manner with blood;

²¹Labut pa usab gisabligan niya ug dugo ang tabernaculo, ug ingon man ang mga ginamiton sa ministerio.

²²and almost all things are purified with blood according to the law, and without blood-shedding there is no remission.

²²Ug sumala sa Kasugoan, makaingon ako, daw ang tanang mga butang ginahinloan sa dugo, ug gawas sa pag-ula sa dugo walay pagpasaylo.

²³[It was] necessary then that the figurative representations of the things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with sacrifices better than these.

²³Busa, kinahanglan nga ang mga hulad sa mga butang sa kalangitan pagahinloan niini; apan ang mga butang langitnon sa ilang kaugalingon pagahinloan uban sa mga labi pang maayo nga halad kay niini.

²⁴For the Christ is not entered into holy places made with hand, figures of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

²⁴Kay si Cristo wala mosulod sa dapit nga balaan nga binuhat sa kamot, ingon sa sumbanan sa matuod; kondili ngadto sa langit gayud, sa pagpangatubang karon tungod kanato sa atubangan sa Dios;

²⁵nor in order that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy places every year with blood not his own;

²⁵Ug dili kay siya maghalad pa sa iyang kaugalingon sa makadaghan, sama sa labawng sacerdote nga nagasulod sa dapit nga balaan sa tuig-tuig uban sa dugo nga dili iyang kaugalingon;

²⁶since he had [then] been obliged often to suffer from the foundation of the world. But now once in the consummation of the ages he has been manifested for [the] putting away of sin by his sacrifice.

²⁶Kay kong mao kini, kinahanglan siya mag-antus kanunay sukad sa pagkatukod sa kalibutan: apan karon sa nakausa nga sa katapusan sa mga katuigan siya ginapadayag sa pagwagtang sa sala pinaagi sa paghalad sa iyang kaugalingon.

²⁷And forasmuch as it is the portion of men once to die, and after this judgment;

²⁷Ug ingon nga kini ginatudlo alang sa mga tawo ang pagkamatay sa makausa, ug sa tapus niini ang paghukom;

²⁸thus the Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear to those that look for him the second time without sin for salvation.

²⁸Mao man usab si Cristo, sa gihalad na sa nakausa aron sa pagdala sa mga sala sa daghan, mopakita sa ikaduha, gawas sa sala, kanila nga nagapaabut kaniya, ngadto sa kaluwasan.
