¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

¹Ug si Jehova misulti kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

²Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of them a staff, a staff for each father's house, of all their princes according to the houses of their fathers, twelve staves: thou shalt write each one's name upon his staff.

²Ipamulong mo sa mga anak sa Israel, ug kuhaan mo sila ug mga sungkod, usa alang sa tagsatagsa ka balay sa iyang amahan, sa tanang mga principe sumala sa balay sa ilang mga amahan, napulo ug duha ka mga sungkod: isulat mo ang ngalan sa tagsatagsa ibabaw sa iyang sungkod.

³And Aaron's name shalt thou write upon the staff of Levi; for one staff shall be for [each] head of their fathers' houses.

³Ug igasulat mo ang ngalan ni Aaron sa ibabaw sa sungkod ni Levi; kay adunay usa ka sungkod alang sa tagsatagsa ka pangulo sa mga panimalay sa ilang mga amahan.

⁴And thou shalt lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.

⁴Ug igabutang mo sila sa balong-balong nga pagatiguman sa atubangan sa pagpamatuod, diin ako makigtagbo kaninyo.

⁵And it shall come to pass, that the man whom I shall choose, his staff shall bud forth; and I will make to cease from before me the murmurings of the children of Israel, that they murmur against you.

⁵Ug mahatabo nga ang sungkod niadtong tawo nga akong pagapilion manalingsing: ug pahunongon ko gikan kanako ang mga pagbagulbol sa mga anak sa Israel, nga ilang ginabagulbol batok kaninyo.

⁶And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and all their princes gave him a staff, one staff for each prince according to their fathers' houses, twelve staves, and the staff of Aaron was among their staves.

⁶Ug si Moises misulti sa mga anak sa Israel: ug ang tanan nilang mga principe mihatag kaniya ug mga sungkod, alang sa tagsatagsa ka principe usa ka sungkod , sumala sa mga balay sa ilang mga amahan, bisan pa napulo ug duha ka mga sungkod: ug ang sungkod ni Aaron diha sa taliwala sa ilang mga sungkod.

⁷And Moses laid the staves before Jehovah in the tent of the testimony.

⁷Ug gibutang ni Moises ang mga sungkod sa atubangan ni Jehova sa balong-balong sa pagpamatuod.

⁸And it came to pass, when on the morrow Moses went into the tent of the testimony, behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and ripened almonds.

⁸Ug nahatabo sa pagkaugma, nga misulod si Moises ngadto sa balong-balong sa pagpamatuod; ug, ania karon, ang sungkod ni Aaron alang sa balay ni Levi nanalingsing, ug mitubo ang mga putot, ug namuskad ang mga bulak, ug namunga ug mga hinog nga almendras.

⁹And Moses brought out all the staves from before Jehovah to all the children of Israel, and they looked and took each one his staff.

⁹Ug si Moises nagdala sa tanang mga sungkod gikan sa atubangan ni Jehova ngadto sa mga anak sa Israel; ug sila mingtan-aw, ug mingkuha ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sa iyang sungkod:

¹⁰And Jehovah said to Moses, Bring Aaron's staff again before the testimony, to be kept as a token for the sons of rebellion, that thou mayest put an end to their murmurings before me, that they may not die.

¹⁰Ug si Jehova miingon kang Moises: Ibalik sa pagbutang ang sungkod ni Aaron sa atubangan sa pagpamatuod, aron kini tipigan alang sa usa ka handumanan batok sa mga anak sa pagsukol; aron sila dili mamatay.

¹¹And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

¹¹Sa ingon niana gibuhat ni Moises: ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kaniya, mao nga kini gibuhat niya.

¹²And the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Lo, we expire, we perish, we all perish.

¹²Ug ang mga anak sa Israel misulti kang Moises, nga nagaingon: Ania karon, kami mangahanaw, kami mangausik, kaming tanan mangausik.

¹³Every one that comes at all near to the tabernacle of Jehovah shall die: shall we then expire altogether?

¹³Ang tagsatagsa nga magapahaduol, nga mopahaduol ngadto sa tabernaculo ni Jehova, mamatay: mangamatay ba diay kaming tanan?
