Amos

6

1Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the renowned of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come.
1 Gwae y rhai sydd mewn esmwythyd yn Seion, y rhai sy'n teimlo'n ddiogel ar Fynydd Samaria, gwu375?r mawr y genedl bennaf, y rhai y mae tu375? Israel yn troi atynt.
2Pass unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go to Hamath the great; and go down to Gath of the Philistines: are they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
2 Ewch trosodd i Calne ac edrychwch; oddi yno ewch i Hamath fawr, ac yna i lawr i Gath y Philistiaid. A ydynt yn well na'ch teyrnasoedd chwi? A yw eu tiriogaeth yn fwy na'r eiddoch chwi?
3Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
3 Chwi, sy'n ceisio pellhau'r dydd drwg, ond yn dwyn teyrnasiad trais yn nes;
4that lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves from the midst of the stall;
4 yn gorwedd ar welyau ifori ac yn ymestyn ar eich matresi; yn gwledda ar u373?yn o'r ddiadell ac ar y lloi pasgedig;
5that chant to the sound of the lute, [and] invent them instruments of music, like David;
5 yn canu maswedd i sain y nabl, ac fel Dafydd yn dyfeisio offerynnau cerdd;
6that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but are not grieved for the breach of Joseph.
6 yn yfed gwin fesul powlennaid, ac yn eich iro'ch hunain 'r olew gorau; ond heb boeni am ddinistr Joseff!
7Therefore shall they now go captive, with the first that go captive, and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away.
7 Felly, yn awr, chwi fydd y cyntaf i'r gaethglud; derfydd am rialtwch y rhai sy'n gorweddian.
8The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by himself, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will deliver up the city with all that is therein.
8 Tyngodd yr Arglwydd DDUW iddo'i hun; medd yr ARGLWYDD, Duw'r Lluoedd: "Yr wyf yn ffieiddio balchder Jacob, ac yn casu ei geyrydd; gadawaf y ddinas a phopeth sydd ynddi."
9And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
9 Os gadewir deg o bobl mewn un tu375?, byddant farw.
10And a man's uncle, and he that should burn him, shall take him up to bring out the bones from the house, and shall say unto him that is in the inner parts of the house, Is there yet [any] with thee? and he shall say, None. And he will say, Silence! for we may not make mention of Jehovah's name.
10 Pan ddaw perthynas, sydd am losgi un ohonynt, yno i'w godi a dwyn ei gorff allan o'r tu375?, a dweud wrth un sydd yng nghanol y tu375?, "A oes rhywun gyda thi?" fe ddywed yntau, "Nac oes." Yna fe ddywed, "Taw! Nid yw enw'r ARGLWYDD i'w grybwyll."
11For behold, Jehovah commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
11 Wele, yr ARGLWYDD sy'n gorchymyn; bydd yn taro'r plasty yn deilchion a'r bwthyn yn siwrwd.
12Shall horses run upon the rock? will [men] plough [thereon] with oxen? For ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,
12 A garlama meirch ar graig? A ellir aredig mr ag ychen? Ond troesoch chwi farn yn wenwyn, a ffrwyth cyfiawnder yn wermod.
13-- ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us power by our own strength?
13 Llawenhau yr ydych am Lo-debar, a dweud, "Onid trwy ein nerth ein hunain y cymerasom ni Carnaim?"
14For behold, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah the God of hosts, I will raise up against you a nation; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hamath unto the torrent of the Arabah.
14 "Wele, yr wyf yn codi cenedl yn eich erbyn, tu375? Israel," medd ARGLWYDD Dduw'r Lluoedd, "ac fe'ch gorthrymant o Lebo-hamath hyd at afon yr Araba."
