1In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans,
1 Daeth Dareius fab Ahasferus o linach y Mediaid yn frenin ar deyrnas y Caldeaid.
2in the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by the books that the number of the years, whereof the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishment of the desolations of Jerusalem, was seventy years.
2 Ym mlwyddyn gyntaf ei deyrnasiad, yr oeddwn i, Daniel, yn chwilio'r llyfrau ynglu375?n 'r hyn a ddywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Jeremeia'r proffwyd am nifer y blynyddoedd hyd derfyn dinistr Jerwsalem, sef deng mlynedd a thrigain.
3And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes;
3 Yna trois at yr Arglwydd Dduw mewn gweddi daer ac ymbil, gydag ympryd a sachliain a lludw.
4and I prayed unto Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, Alas Lord! the great and terrible ùGod, keeping covenant and loving-kindness with them that love him, and that keep his commandments:
4 Gweddais ar yr ARGLWYDD fy Nuw a chyffesu a dweud, "O Arglwydd, y Duw mawr ac ofnadwy, sy'n cadw cyfamod ac sy'n ffyddlon i'r rhai sy'n ei garu ac yn cadw ei orchmynion,
5we have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy commandments and from thine ordinances.
5 yr ydym wedi pechu a gwneud camwedd a drwg, ac wedi gwrthryfela ac anwybyddu d'orchmynion a'th ddeddfau.
6And we have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spoke in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
6 Ni wrandawsom ar dy weision y proffwydi, a fu'n llefaru yn dy enw wrth ein brenhinoedd a'n tywysogion a'n hynafiaid, ac wrth holl bobl y wlad.
7Thine, O Lord, is the righteousness, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, in all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their unfaithfulness in which they have been unfaithful against thee.
7 I ti, Arglwydd, y perthyn cyfiawnder; ond heddiw fel erioed, cywilydd sydd i ni, bobl Jwda a thrigolion Jerwsalem a holl Israel, yn agos ac ymhell, ym mhob gwlad lle'r alltudiwyd hwy am iddynt dy fradychu.
8O Lord, unto us is confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
8 O ARGLWYDD, cywilydd sydd i ni, i'n brenhinoedd a'n tywysogion a'n hynafiaid, am inni bechu yn dy erbyn.
9With the Lord our God are mercies and pardons, for we have rebelled against him;
9 Ond y mae trugaredd a maddeuant gan yr Arglwydd ein Duw, er inni wrthryfela yn ei erbyn
10and we have not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us through his servants the prophets.
10 a gwrthod gwrando ar lais yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw i ddilyn ei gyfreithiau, a roddodd inni trwy ei weision y proffwydi.
11And all Israel have transgressed thy law, even turning aside so as not to listen unto thy voice. And the curse hath been poured out upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God: for we have sinned against him.
11 Y mae holl Israel wedi torri dy gyfraith a gwrthod gwrando ar dy lais; ac am inni bechu yn ei erbyn tywalltwyd arnom y felltith a'r llw sy'n ysgrifenedig yng nghyfraith Moses gwas Duw.
12And he hath performed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; so that there hath not been done under the whole heaven as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
12 Cyflawnodd yr hyn a ddywedodd amdanom ni ac am ein barnwyr trwy ddwyn dinistr mawr arnom, oherwydd ni ddigwyddodd yn unman ddim tebyg i'r hyn a ddigwyddodd yn Jerwsalem.
13As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us; yet we besought not Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
13 Daeth y dinistr hwn arnom, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig yng nghyfraith Moses; eto nid ydym wedi ymbil ar yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw trwy droi oddi wrth ein camweddau ac ystyried dy wirionedd di.
14And Jehovah hath watched over the evil, and brought it upon us; for Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he hath done; and we have not hearkened unto his voice.
14 Cadwodd yr ARGLWYDD olwg ar y dinistr hwn nes dod ag ef arnom, am fod yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw yn gyfiawn yn ei holl weithredoedd, a ninnau heb wrando ar ei lais.
15-- And now, O Lord our God, who broughtest thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, and hast made thee a name, as it is this day, -- we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
15 "Ac yn awr, O Arglwydd ein Duw, sydd wedi achub dy bobl o wlad yr Aifft llaw gref a gwneud enw i ti dy hun hyd heddiw, yr ydym ni wedi pechu a gwneud drygioni.
16Lord, according to all thy righteousnesses, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; for because of our sins, and because of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all round about us.
16 O Arglwydd, yn unol 'th holl weithredoedd cyfiawn, erfyniwn arnat i droi dy lid a'th ddigofaint oddi wrth dy ddinas Jerwsalem, dy fynydd sanctaidd, oherwydd am ein pechodau ni ac am gamweddau ein hynafiaid y mae Jerwsalem a'th bobl yn wawd i bawb o'n cwmpas.
17And now, our God, hearken to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
17 Ac yn awr, ein Duw, gwrando ar weddi ac ymbil dy was, ac er dy fwyn dy hun pr i'th wyneb ddisgleirio ar dy gysegr anghyfannedd.
18Incline thine ear, O my God, and hear; open thine eyes and behold our desolations, and the city that is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee because of our righteousnesses, but because of thy manifold mercies.
18 Fy Nuw, gostwng dy glust a gwrando; agor dy lygaid ac edrych ar ein hanrhaith ac ar y ddinas y gelwir dy enw arni; nid oherwydd ein cyfiawnder ein hunain yr ydym yn ymbil o'th flaen, ond oherwydd dy aml drugareddau di.
19Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, hearken and do! defer not, for thine own sake, O my God! for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
19 Gwrando, O Arglwydd! Trugarha, O Arglwydd! Gwrando, O Arglwydd, a gweithreda! Er dy fwyn dy hun, fy Nuw, paid ag oedi, oherwydd dy enw di sydd ar dy ddinas ac ar dy bobl."
20And whilst I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God;
20 A thra oeddwn yn llefaru ac yn gweddo, yn cyffesu fy mhechod a phechod fy mhobl Israel, ac yn ymbil o flaen yr ARGLWYDD fy Nuw dros fynydd sanctaidd fy Nuw,
21whilst I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
21 ehedodd y gu373?r Gabriel, a welais eisoes yn y weledigaeth, a chyffyrddodd mi ar adeg yr offrwm hwyrol.
22And he informed [me], and talked with me, and said, Daniel, I am now come forth to make thee skilful of understanding.
22 Esboniodd i mi a dweud, "Daniel, rwyf wedi dod yn awr i'th hyfforddi.
23At the beginning of thy supplications the word went forth, and I am come to declare [it]; for thou art one greatly beloved. Therefore consider the word, and have understanding in the vision:
23 Pan ddechreuaist ymbil, cyhoeddwyd gair, a deuthum innau i'w fynegi, oherwydd cefaist ffafr. Ystyria'r gair a deall y weledigaeth.
24Seventy weeks are apportioned out upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to close the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make expiation for iniquity, and to bring in the righteousness of the ages, and to seal the vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies.
24 "Nodwyd deg wythnos a thrigain i'th bobl ac i'th ddinas sanctaidd, i roi diwedd ar wrthryfel a therfyn ar bechodau, i wneud iawn am ddrygioni ac i adfer cyfiawnder tragwyddol; i roi sl ar weledigaeth a phroffwydoliaeth, ac i eneinio'r lle sancteiddiolaf.
25Know therefore and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah, the Prince, are seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street and the moat shall be built again, even in troublous times.
25 Deall hyn ac ystyria: bydd saith wythnos o'r amser y daeth gorchymyn i ailadeiladu Jerwsalem hyd ddyfodiad tywysog eneiniog; yna am ddwy wythnos a thrigain adnewyddir heol a ffos, ond bydd yn amser adfyd.
26And after the sixty-two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with an overflow, and unto the end, war, -- the desolations determined.
26 Ac ar l y ddwy wythnos a thrigain fe leddir yr un eneiniog heb neb o'i du, a difethir y ddinas a'r cysegr gan filwyr tywysog sydd i ddod. Bydd yn gorffen mewn llifeiriant, gyda rhyfel yn peri anghyfanedd-dra hyd y diwedd.
27And he shall confirm a covenant with the many [for] one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the protection of abominations [there shall be] a desolator, even until that the consumption and what is determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.
27 Fe wna gyfamod cadarn llawer am un wythnos, ac am hanner yr wythnos rhydd derfyn ar aberth ac offrwm. Ac yn sgl y ffieiddbeth daw anrheithiwr, a erys hyd y diwedd, pan dywelltir ar yr anrheithiwr yr hyn a ddywedwyd."
