¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

²Son of man, set thy face against Jerusalem, and drop [words] against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,

² "Fab dyn, tro dy wyneb tua Jerwsalem, a llefara yn erbyn ei chysegr a phroffwyda yn erbyn tir Israel.

³and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.

³ Dywed wrth dir Israel, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Yr wyf fi yn dy erbyn; tynnaf fy nghleddyf o'i wain a thorri ymaith ohonot y cyfiawn a'r drygionus.

⁴Seeing that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh, from the south to the north;

⁴ Oherwydd fy mod am dorri ymaith ohonot y cyfiawn a'r drygionus y tynnir fy nghleddyf o'i wain yn erbyn pawb o'r de i'r gogledd.

⁵and all flesh shall know that I Jehovah have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath: it shall not return any more.

⁵ Yna bydd pob un yn gwybod fy mod i, yr ARGLWYDD, wedi tynnu fy nghleddyf o'i wain; ni fydd yn dychwelyd yno byth eto.'

⁶Sigh then, thou son of man; with breaking of the loins, and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

⁶ Ac yn awr, fab dyn, griddfan; griddfan yn chwerw o'u blaenau � chalon ddrylliedig.

⁷And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore dost thou sigh? that thou shalt say, Because of the tidings, for it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall languish, and all knees shall melt into water: behold, it cometh; it is here, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁷ A phan ofynnant iti pam dy fod yn griddfan, fe ddywedi, 'Oherwydd y newyddion; pan ddaw, bydd pob calon yn toddi, pob llaw yn llipa, pob ysbryd yn pallu a phob glin yn ddu373?r. Fe ddigwydd, ac y mae ar ddyfod, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.'"

⁸And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

⁸ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

⁹Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished.

⁹ "Fab dyn, proffwyda a dweud, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: Cleddyf! Cleddyf wedi ei hogi, a hefyd wedi ei loywi �

¹⁰It is sharpened for sore slaughter, it is furbished that it may glitter. Shall we then make mirth, [saying,] The sceptre of my son contemneth all wood?

¹⁰ wedi ei hogi er mwyn lladd, a'i loywi i fflachio fel mellten! O fy mab, fe chwifir gwialen i ddilorni pob eilun pren!

¹¹And he hath given it to be furbished that it may be handled. The sword, -- it is sharpened, and it is furbished to give it into the hand of the slayer.

¹¹ Rhoddwyd y cleddyf i'w loywi, yn barod i law ymaflyd ynddo; y mae'r cleddyf wedi ei hogi a'i loywi, yn barod i'w roi yn llaw y lladdwr.'

¹²Cry and howl, son of man; for it shall be against my people, it shall be against all the princes of Israel: they are given up to the sword along with my people: smite therefore upon the thigh.

¹² Gwaedda ac uda, fab dyn, oherwydd y mae yn erbyn fy mhobl, yn erbyn holl dywysogion Israel � fe'u bwrir hwythau i'r cleddyf gyda'm pobl; felly trawa dy glun.

¹³For the trial [is made]; and what if even the contemning sceptre shall be no [more]? saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹³ Oherwydd bydd profi. Pam yr ydych yn dilorni'r wialen? Ni lwydda, medd yr Arglwydd DDUW.

¹⁴And thou, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; for [the strokes of] the sword shall be doubled the third time: it is the sword of the slain, the sword that hath slain the great one, which encompasseth them privily.

¹⁴ "Ac yn awr, fab dyn, proffwyda, a thrawa dy ddwylo yn erbyn ei gilydd; chwifier y cleddyf ddwywaith a thair � cleddyf i ladd ydyw, cleddyf i wneud lladdfa fawr, ac y mae'n chwyrl�o o'u hamgylch.

¹⁵In order that the heart may melt, and the stumbling-blocks be multiplied, I have set the threatening sword against all their gates: ah! it is made glittering, it is whetted for the slaughter.

¹⁵ Er mwyn i'w calon doddi, ac i lawer ohonynt syrthio, yr wyf wedi gosod cleddyf dinistr wrth eu holl byrth. Och! Fe'i gwnaed i ddisgleirio fel mellten, ac fe'i tynnir i ladd.

¹⁶Gather up [strength], go to the right hand, turn thee, go to the left, whithersoever thy face is appointed.

¹⁶ Tro'n finiog i'r dde ac i'r chwith, i ble bynnag y pwyntia dy flaen.

¹⁷And I myself will smite my hands together, and I will satisfy my fury: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

¹⁷ Byddaf finnau hefyd yn taro fy nwylo, ac yna'n tawelu fy llid. Myfi yr ARGLWYDD a lefarodd."

¹⁸And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁸ Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD ataf a dweud,

¹⁹And thou, son of man, set thee two ways, by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come -- out of one land shall they both come -- and make thee a signpost, make it at the head of the way to the city.

¹⁹ "Yn awr, fab dyn, noda ddwy ffordd i gleddyf brenin Babilon ddod, a'r ddwy yn arwain o'r un wlad, a gosod fynegbost ar ben y ffordd sy'n dod i'r ddinas.

²⁰Appoint a way for the coming of the sword to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah at the fenced [city] of Jerusalem.

²⁰ Noda un ffordd i'r cleddyf ddod yn erbyn Rabba'r Ammoniaid, a'r llall yn erbyn Jwda a Jerwsalem gaerog.

²¹For the king of Babylon standeth at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he shaketh [his] arrows, he inquireth of the teraphim, he looketh in the liver.

²¹ Oherwydd fe oeda brenin Babilon ar y groesffordd lle mae'r ddwy ffordd yn fforchi, i geisio argoel; bydd yn bwrw coelbren � saethau, yn ymofyn �'i eilunod ac yn edrych ar yr afu.

²²In his right hand is the lot of Jerusalem to appoint battering-rams, to open the mouth for bloodshed, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering-rams against the gates, to cast mounds, to build siege-towers.

²² Yn ei law dde bydd coelbren Jerwsalem, iddo roi gorchymyn i ladd, codi bonllef rhyfel, gosod peiriannau hyrddio yn erbyn y pyrth, codi esgynfa ac adeiladu gwarchglawdd.

²³And this shall be a false divination in their sight, for them that have sworn oaths; but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

²³ Bydd yn ymddangos yn argoel twyllodrus i'r rhai sy'n deyrngar iddo, ond bydd ef yn dwyn eu trosedd i gof ac yn eu caethiwo.

²⁴Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye make your iniquity to be remembered in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

²⁴ Felly, fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Oherwydd ichwi ddwyn eich trosedd i gof trwy eich gwrthryfel agored, ac amlygu eich pechodau yn y cyfan a wnewch, oherwydd i chwi wneud hyn, fe'ch caethiwir.

²⁵And thou, profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, at the time of the iniquity of the end,

²⁵ "A thithau, dywysog annuwiol a drygionus Israel, yr un y daeth ei ddydd yn amser y gosb derfynol,

²⁶-- thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Remove the mitre and take off the crown; what is shall be no [more]. Exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high.

²⁶ fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW: Diosg y benwisg a thyn y goron; nid fel y bu y bydd; dyrchefir yr isel a darostyngir yr uchel.

²⁷I will overturn, overturn, overturn it! This also shall be no [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [to him].

²⁷ Adfail! Adfail! Yn adfail na fu ei bath y gwnaf hi, nes i'r hwn a'i piau trwy deg ddod, ac imi ei rhoi iddo ef.

²⁸And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus speaketh the Lord Jehovah concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and thou shalt say, A sword, a sword is drawn; for the slaughter is it furbished, that it may consume, that it may glitter:

²⁸ "Yn awr, fab dyn, proffwyda a dywed, 'Fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd DDUW wrth yr Ammoniaid a'u heilun: Cleddyf! Cleddyf wedi ei dynnu i ladd, wedi ei loywi i ddifa ac i ddisgleirio fel mellten!

²⁹whilst they see vanity for thee, whilst they divine a lie unto thee, to lay thee upon the necks of the wicked that are slain, whose day is come at the time of the iniquity of the end.

²⁹ Er bod gweledigaethau gau amdanat ac argoelion twyllodrus ynglu375?n � thi, fe'th osodir ar yddfau'r drygionus sydd i'w lladd, sef y rhai y daeth eu dydd yn amser y gosb derfynol.

³⁰Restore [it] to its sheath. I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy birth.

³⁰ Yna, dychweler ef i'w wain. Yn y lle y cr�wyd di, yng ngwlad dy gynefin, y barnaf di.

³¹And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow upon thee the fire of my wrath, and give thee into the hand of brutish men, skilful to destroy.

³¹ Tywalltaf fy llid arnat a chwythu fy nig tanllyd drosot; rhoddaf di yn nwylo dynion creulon, dynion medrus i ddinistrio.

³²Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt not be remembered: for I Jehovah have spoken.

³² Byddi'n gynnud i d�n, bydd dy waed trwy'r tir, ac ni chofir amdanat. Myfi yr ARGLWYDD a lefarodd.'"
