2

1Say unto your brethren Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
1 "Dywedwch wrth eich brodyr, 'Fy-mhobl', ac wrth eich chwiorydd, 'Cafodd-drugaredd'.
2Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: and let her put away her whoredoms from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
2 Plediwch 'ch mam, plediwch onid yw'n wraig i mi, a minnau'n u373?r iddi hi? ar iddi symud ei phuteindra o'i hwyneb, a'i godineb oddi rhwng ei bronnau.
3lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her as a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
3 Onid e, byddaf yn ei diosg yn noeth a'i gosod fel ar ddydd ei geni, a'i gwneud fel anialwch a'i gosod fel tir sych, a'i lladd  syched;
4And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they are the children of whoredoms.
4 ni wnaf drugaredd 'i phlant, am eu bod yn blant puteindra.
5For their mother hath played the harlot; she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give [me] my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
5 Oherwydd i'w mam buteinio, ac i'r hon a'u cariodd ymddwyn yn waradwyddus, a dweud, 'Af ar l fy nghariadon, sy'n rhoi imi fy mara a'm du373?r, fy ngwln a'm llin, fy olew a'm diod'
6Therefore behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns; and I will fence [her] in with a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
6 am hynny, caeaf ei ffordd drain, a gosodaf rwystr rhag iddi gael ei llwybrau.
7And she shall pursue after her lovers, and shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, and shall not find them: and she shall say, I will go and return to my first husband, for then was it better with me than now.
7 Fe ymlid ei chariadon heb eu dal, fe'u cais heb eu cael; yna dywed, 'Dychwelaf at y gu373?r oedd gennyf, gan ei bod yn well arnaf y pryd hwnnw nag yn awr.'
8And she did not know that I had given her the corn and the new wine and the oil, and had multiplied to her the silver and gold, which they employed for Baal.
8 Ond ni u373?yr hi mai myfi a roddodd iddi u375?d a gwin ac olew, ac amlhau iddi arian ac aur, pethau a roesant hwy i Baal.
9Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my new wine in its season, and will withdraw my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.
9 Felly, cymeraf yn l fy u375?d yn ei bryd a'm gwin yn ei dymor; dygaf ymaith fy ngwln a'm llin, a guddiai ei noethni.
10And now will I discover her impiety in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of my hand.
10 Yn awr, dinoethaf ei gwarth gerbron ei chariadon, ac ni fyn yr un ohonynt ei chipio o'm llaw.
11And I will cause all her mirth to cease: her feasts, her new moons, and her sabbaths! and all her solemnities.
11 Rhof derfyn ar ei holl lawenydd, ei gwyliau, ei newydd-loerau, ei Sabothau a'i gwyliau sefydlog.
12And I will make desolate her vine and her fig-tree, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards which my lovers have given me; and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
12 Difethaf ei gwinwydd a'i ffigyswydd, y dywedodd amdanynt, 'Dyma fy nhl, a roes fy nghariadon i mi.' Gwnaf hwy'n goedwig, a bydd yr anifeiliaid gwylltion yn eu difa.
13And I will visit upon her the days of the Baals, wherein she burned incense to them, and decked herself with her rings and jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot me, saith Jehovah.
13 Cosbaf hi am ddyddiau gu373?yl y Baalim, pan losgodd arogldarth iddynt, a gwisgo'i modrwy a'i haddurn, a mynd ar l ei chariadon a'm hanghofio i," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
14Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak to her heart.
14 "Am hynny, wele, fe'i denaf; af hi i'r anialwch, a siarad yn dyner wrthi.
15And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
15 Rhof iddi yno ei gwinllannoedd, a bydd dyffryn Achor yn ddrws gobaith. Yno fe ymetyb hi fel yn nyddiau ei hieuenctid, fel yn y dydd y daeth i fyny o wlad yr Aifft.
16And it shall be in that day, saith Jehovah, [that] thou shalt call me, My husband, and shalt call me no more, Baali;
16 "Yn y dydd hwnnw," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "gelwi fi 'Fy ngu373?r', ac ni'm gelwi mwyach 'Fy Baal';
17for I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
17 symudaf ymaith enwau'r Baalim o'i genau, ac ni chofir hwy mwy wrth eu henwau.
18And I will make a covenant for them in that day with the beasts of the field, and with the fowl of the heavens, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will break bow and sword and battle out of the land; and I will make them to lie down safely.
18 Yn y dydd hwnnw gwnaf i ti gyfamod 'r anifeiliaid gwylltion, ac adar yr awyr ac ymlusgiaid y ddaear; symudaf o'r tir y bwa, y cleddyf, a rhyfel, a gwnaf i ti orffwyso mewn diogelwch.
19And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; and I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies;
19 Fe'th ddyweddaf mi fy hun dros byth; fe'th ddyweddaf mi mewn cyfiawnder a barn, mewn cariad a thrugaredd.
20and I will betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know Jehovah.
20 Fe'th ddyweddaf mi mewn ffyddlondeb, a byddi'n adnabod yr ARGLWYDD.
21And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith Jehovah, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
21 "Yn y dydd hwnnw," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "atebaf y nef, ac etyb hithau y ddaear;
22and the earth shall hear the corn, and the new wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jizreel.
22 etyb y ddaear yr u375?d, y gwin a'r olew, ac atebant hwythau Jesreel;
23And I will sow her unto me in the land; and I will have mercy upon Lo-ruhamah; and I will say to Lo-ammi, Thou art my people; and they shall say, My God.
23 ac fe'i heuaf i mi fy hun yn y tir. Gwnaf drugaredd Lo-ruhama; dywedaf wrth Lo-ammi, 'Fy mhobl wyt ti', a dywed yntau, 'Fy Nuw'."
