1Set the trumpet to thy mouth. [He cometh] as an eagle against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and rebelled against my law.
1 "At dy wefus �'r utgorn! Y mae un tebyg i eryr yn erbyn tu375?'r ARGLWYDD, am iddynt dorri fy nghyfamod a gwrthryfela yn erbyn fy nghyfraith.
2They shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee; [we], Israel.
2 Llefant arnaf, 'O Dduw, yr ydym ni, Israel, yn dy adnabod.'
3Israel hath cast off good: the enemy shall pursue him.
3 Ffieiddiodd Israel ddaioni; bydd gelyn yn ei ymlid yntau.
4They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not; of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
4 "Gwnaethant frenhinoedd, ond nid trwof fi; gwnaethant dywysogion, nad oeddwn yn eu hadnabod. �'u harian a'u haur gwnaethant iddynt eu hunain ddelwau, a hynny er distryw.
5Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will they be incapable of purity?
5 Ffieiddiais dy lo, Samaria; cyneuodd fy llid yn ei erbyn.
6For from Israel is this also: -- a workman made it, and it is no God: for the calf of Samaria shall be [broken in] pieces.
6 Pa hyd y methant ymlanhau yn Israel? Crefftwr a'i gwnaeth; nid yw'n dduw. Dryllir llo Samaria yn chwilfriw.
7For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; should it sprout, it would yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.
7 "Canys y maent yn hau gwynt, ac yn medi corwynt. Y mae'r corsennau u375?d heb rawn, ni r�nt flawd; pe rhoent, estroniaid a'i llyncai.
8Israel is swallowed up: now are they become among the nations as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
8 Llyncwyd Israel; y mae eisoes ymysg y cenhedloedd fel llestr diwerth.
9For they are gone up [to] Assyria [as] a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
9 Aethant i fyny at Asyria, fel asyn gwyllt ar ddisberod. Bargeiniodd Effraim am gariadon;
10Although they hire among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall begin to be straitened under the burden of the king of princes.
10 er iddynt fargeinio ymysg y cenhedloedd, fe'u casglaf yn awr, wedi iddynt am ychydig wingo dan y baich, yn frenin a thywysogion.
11Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
11 "Amlhaodd Effraim allorau; ond aethant iddo yn allorau i bechu.
12I have prescribed unto him the manifold things of my law: they are counted [as] a strange thing.
12 Er i mi ysgrifennu llawer o ddeddfau, fe'u hystyrir fel peth dieithr.
13They sacrifice flesh [for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; Jehovah hath no delight in them. Now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
13 Carant aberthau; aberthant gig a'i fwyta; ond nid yw'r ARGLWYDD yn fodlon arnynt. Yn awr fe gofia eu drygioni, a chosbi eu pechodau; dychwelant i'r Aifft.
14For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
14 Canys anghofiodd Israel ei wneuthurwr, ac adeiladodd balasau; lluosogodd Jwda ddinasoedd caerog; ond anfonaf d�n ar ei ddinasoedd ac fe ysa ei amddiffynfeydd."
