1Ha! land shadowing with wings, which art beyond the rivers of Cush,
1 Gwae wlad yr adenydd chwim, sydd tu draw i afonydd Ethiopia,
2that sendest ambassadors over the sea, and in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, [saying,] Go, swift messengers, to a nation scattered and ravaged, to a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth; to a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
2 ac yn anfon cenhadau dros y mr mewn cychod o bapurfrwyn ar wyneb y dyfroedd. Ewch, chwi negeswyr cyflym, at genedl sy'n dal ac yn llyfn, at bobl a ofnir ymhell ac agos, cenedl gref sy'n mathru eraill, a'i thir wedi ei rannu gan afonydd.
3All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, when a banner is lifted up on the mountains, see ye, and when a trumpet is blown, hear ye!
3 Chwi, holl drigolion byd a phobl y ddaear, edrychwch pan godir baner ar y mynyddoedd, gwrandewch pan gn yr utgorn.
4For thus hath Jehovah said unto me: I will take my rest, and I will observe from my dwelling-place like clear heat upon herbs, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
4 Fel hyn y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD wrthyf: "Gwyliaf yn llonydd o'm trigfan, yr un fath thes yr haul a chwmwl gwlith yng ngwres y cynhaeaf."
5For before the harvest, when the blossoming is over, and the flower becometh a ripening grape, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning-knives, and take away [and] cut down the branches.
5 Canys cyn y cynhaeaf, pan dderfydd y blodau, a'r tusw blodau yn troi'n rawnwin aeddfed, torrir ymaith y brigau chyllell finiog, a thynnir i ffwrdd y cangau sydd ar led.
6They shall be left together unto the mountain birds of prey, and to the beasts of the earth; and the birds of prey shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
6 Fe'u gadewir i gyd i adar rheibus y mynydd ac i anifeiliaid gwylltion. Yno bydd yr adar rheibus yn treulio'r haf, a'r anifeiliaid gwylltion yn gaeafu.
7In that time shall a present be brought unto Jehovah of hosts of a people scattered and ravaged, -- and from a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth, a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled, ... to the place of the name of Jehovah of hosts, the mount Zion.
7 Yn yr amser hwnnw dygir rhoddion i ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd gan bobl dal a llyfn, pobl a ofnir ymhell ac agos, cenedl gref sy'n mathru eraill, a'i thir wedi ei rannu gan afonydd, i'r lle sy'n dwyn enw ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Mynydd Seion.
