1The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through, so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
1 Yr oracl am anialwch y mr: Fel corwynt yn chwyrlo dros y Negef, felly y daw dinistr o'r anialwch, o wlad ofnadwy.
2A grievous vision is declared unto me: the treacherous dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, Elam! besiege, Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
2 Mynegwyd gweledigaeth greulon i mi: bradwr yn bradychu, anrheithiwr yn anrheithio. Cod, Elam! I'r gwarchae, Fediaid! Rhof daw ar bob griddfan a achoswyd.
3Therefore are my loins filled with pain; anguish hath taken hold upon me, as the anguish of a woman in travail: I am bowed down so as not to hear, I am dismayed so as not to see.
3 Am hynny llanwyd fy lwynau gofid, cydiwyd ynof gan wewyr, fel gwraig wrth esgor; cythryblwyd fi wrth ei glywed, brawychais wrth ei weld.
4My heart panteth, horror affrighteth me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into trembling unto me.
4 Y mae fy meddwl yn drysu, a braw yn fy nirdynnu; trodd yr hwyrddydd a ddymunais yn ddychryn imi.
5Prepare the table, appoint the watch; eat, drink: arise, ye princes, anoint the shield.
5 Huliant fwrdd, taenant y lliain, y maent yn bwyta ac yfed. Codwch, chwi dywysogion, gloywch eich tarian.
6For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
6 Oherwydd fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd wrthyf: "Dos, gosod wyliwr i fynegi'r hyn a wl.
7And he saw chariots, horsemen by pairs, a chariot with asses, a chariot with camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed.
7 Os bydd yn gweld cerbyd gyda phr o feirch, marchog ar asyn neu farchog ar gamel, y mae i sylwi'n ddyfal, ddyfal."
8And he cried [as] a lion, Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights.
8 Yna fe lefodd y gwyliwr, "'Rwyf wedi sefyll ar y tu373?r ar hyd y dydd, O Arglwydd, ac 'rwyf wedi cadw gwyliadwriaeth am nosau cyfan;
9-- And behold, there cometh a chariot of men; horsemen by pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
9 a dyma a ddaeth gu373?r mewn cerbyd gyda phr o feirch, yn dweud, 'Y mae wedi syrthio! Y mae Babilon wedi syrthio, a holl ddelwau ei duwiau wedi eu dryllio i'r llawr.'"
10O my threshing, and the corn of my floor! What I have heard of Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
10 Chwi, fy eiddo a fu dan y dyrnwr ac a nithiwyd, mynegais i chwi yr hyn a glywais gan ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd, Duw Israel.
11The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
11 Yr oracl am Duma: Geilw un arnaf o Seir, "O wyliwr, beth am y nos? O wyliwr, beth am y nos?"
12The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire; return, come.
12 Atebodd y gwyliwr, "Daw bore, a nos hefyd. Os ydych am ofyn, gofynnwch, a dewch yn l eto."
13The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall ye lodge, [ye] caravans of Dedanites.
13 Yr oracl am Arabia: Yn llwyni Arabia y lletywch, chwi garafanau Dedanim;
14Bring ye water to meet the thirsty! The inhabitants of the land of Tema come forth with their bread for him that fleeth.
14 dewch  diod i gyfarfod y rhai sychedig. Chwi drigolion Tema, ewch i gyfarfod y ffedigion  bara;
15For they flee from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
15 oherwydd ffoesant rhag y cleddyf, rhag y cleddyf noeth a'r bwa anelog, a rhag pwys y frwydr.
16For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Within a year, according to the years of a hired servant, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
16 Oherwydd fel hyn y dywed yr Arglwydd wrthyf: "O fewn blwyddyn, yn l tymor gwas cyflog, daw diwedd ar holl ogoniant Cedar;
17and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, shall be diminished: for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath spoken.
17 ychydig o saethwyr bwa o blith gwu375?r grymus Cedar a fydd yn weddill." Llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel.
