1Hear ye this, house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, not in truth, nor in righteousness.
1 "Gwrandewch hyn, du375? Jacob, y rhai a elwir ar enw Israel, sy'n tarddu o had Jwda, sy'n tyngu yn enw'r ARGLWYDD ac yn galw ar Dduw Israel, heb fod yn onest na didwyll.
2For they are named after the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
2 Galwant eu hunain yn bobl y ddinas sanctaidd, a phwyso ar Dduw Israel; ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yw ei enw.
3I have declared the former things long ago; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I caused them to be heard: I wrought suddenly, and they came to pass.
3 "Mynegais y pethau cyntaf erstalwm, eu cyhoeddi 'm genau fy hun a'u gwneud yn hysbys; ar drawiad gweithredais, a pheri iddynt ddigwydd.
4Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass,
4 Gwyddwn dy fod yn ystyfnig, a'th war fel gewyn haearn, a'th dalcen fel pres;
5so I have long ago declared [them] to thee; before they came to pass I caused thee to hear [them]; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, or my molten image hath commanded them.
5 am hynny rhois wybod i ti erstalwm, a'th hysbysu cyn iddynt ddigwydd, rhag i ti ddweud, 'Fy nelw a'u gwnaeth, fy eilun a'm cerfddelw a'u trefnodd.'
6Thou heardest, see all this; -- and ye, will not ye declare [it]? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, and things hidden, and that thou knewest not:
6 Clywaist a gwelaist hyn i gyd; onid ydych am ei gydnabod? Ac yn awr 'rwyf am fynegi i chwi bethau newydd, pethau cudd na wyddoch ddim amdanynt.
7they are created now, and not long ago; and before this day thou hast not heard them, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
7 Yn awr y crwyd hwy, ac nid erstalwm, ac ni chlywaist ddim amdanynt cyn heddiw, rhag i ti ddweud, ''Roeddwn i'n gwybod.'
8Yea, thou heardest not, yea, thou knewest not, yea, from of old thine ear was not opened; for I knew that thou wouldest ever deal treacherously, and thou wast called a transgressor from the womb.
8 Nid oeddit wedi clywed na gwybod; erstalwm 'roedd dy glust heb agor; oherwydd gwyddwn dy fod yn dwyllodrus i'r eithaf, ac iti o'r bru gael yr enw o fod yn droseddwr.
9For my name's sake I will defer mine anger, and [for] my praise will I refrain as to thee, that I cut thee not off.
9 "Er mwyn fy enw ateliais fy llid, er mewn fy moliant ymateliais rhag dy ddifa.
10Behold, I have refined thee, but not as silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
10 Purais di, ond nid fel arian; profais di ym mhair cystudd.
11For mine own sake, for mine own sake, will I do [it]; for how should [my name] be profaned? and I will not give my glory unto another.
11 Er fy mwyn fy hun y gwneuthum hyn; a gnt halogi fy enw? Ni roddaf fy anrhydedd i arall.
12Hearken unto me, Jacob, and [thou] Israel, my called. I [am] HE; I, the first, and I, the last.
12 "Clyw fi, Jacob, ac Israel, yr un a elwais: Myfi yw; myfi yw'r cyntaf, a'r olaf hefyd.
13Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread abroad the heavens: I call unto them, they stand up together.
13 Fy llaw a sylfaenodd y ddaear, a'm deheulaw a daenodd y nefoedd; pan alwaf arnynt, ufuddhnt ar unwaith.
14All ye, gather yourselves together, and hear: which among them hath declared these things? He whom Jehovah hath loved shall execute his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.
14 "Dewch bawb at eich gilydd a gwrando; pwy ohonynt a fynegodd hyn? Yr un y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn ei hoffi fydd yn cyflawni ei fwriad ar Fabilon ac ar had y Caldeaid.
15I, [even] I, have spoken; yea, I have called him; I have brought him, and his way shall be prosperous.
15 Myfi fy hun a lefarodd, myfi a'i galwodd; dygais ef allan, a llwyddo ei ffordd.
16Come near unto me, hear ye this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord Jehovah hath sent me, and his Spirit.
16 Dewch ataf, clywch hyn: o'r dechrau ni leferais yn ddirgel; o'r amser y digwyddodd, yr oeddwn i yno." Ac yn awr ysbryd yr Arglwydd DDUW a'm hanfonodd i.
17Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I [am] Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee for [thy] profit, who leadeth thee in the way that thou shouldest go.
17 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD, dy Waredydd, Sanct Israel: "Myfi yw'r ARGLWYDD dy Dduw, sy'n dy ddysgu er dy les, ac yn dy arwain yn y ffordd y dylit ei cherdded.
18Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then would thy peace have been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea;
18 Pe bait wedi gwrando ar fy ngorchymyn, byddai dy heddwch fel yr afon, a'th gyfiawnder fel tonnau'r mr;
19and thy seed would have been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof: their name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
19 a byddai dy had fel y tywod, a'th epil fel ei raean, a'u henw heb ei dorri ymaith na'i ddileu o'm gu373?ydd."
20Go ye forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing; declare, cause this to be heard, utter it to the end of the earth; say ye, Jehovah hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
20 Ewch allan o Fabilon, ffowch oddi wrth y Caldeaid; mynegwch hyn gyda bloedd gorfoledd, cyhoeddwch ef, a'i hysbysu hyd gyrrau'r ddaear; dywedwch, "Yr ARGLWYDD a waredodd ei was Jacob."
21And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; yea, he clave the rock, and the waters gushed out.
21 Nid oedd arnynt syched pan arweiniodd hwy yn y lleoedd anial; gwnaeth i ddu373?r lifo iddynt o'r graig; holltodd y graig a phistyllodd y du373?r.
22There is no peace, saith Jehovah, unto the wicked.
22 "Nid oes llwyddiant i'r annuwiol," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
