¹Exult, thou barren, that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and shout for joy, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.

¹ "C�n di, y wraig ddi-blant na chafodd esgor; dyro g�n, bloeddia ganu, ti na phrofaist wewyr esgor; oherwydd y mae plant y wraig a adawyd yn lluosocach na phlant y wraig briod," medd yr ARGLWYDD.

²Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.

² "Helaetha faint dy babell, estyn allan lenni dy drigfannau; gollwng y rhaffau allan i'r pen, a sicrha'r hoelion.

³For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess nations, and they shall make desolate cities to be inhabited.

³ Oherwydd byddi'n ymestyn i'r dde ac i'r chwith; bydd dy had yn disodli'r cenhedloedd, ac yn cyfanheddu dinasoedd anrheithiedig.

⁴Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

⁴ Paid ag ofni, oherwydd ni chywilyddir di, ni ddaw gwaradwydd na gwarth arnat; oherwydd fe anghofi gywilydd dy ieuenctid, ac ni chofi bellach am warth dy weddwdod.

⁵For thy Maker is thy husband: Jehovah of hosts is his name, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

⁵ Oherwydd yr un a'th greodd yw dy u373?r � ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd yw ei enw; Sanct Israel yw dy waredydd, a Duw yr holl ddaear y gelwir ef.

⁶For Jehovah hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and as a wife of youth, that hath been refused, saith thy God.

⁶ Fel gwraig wedi ei gadael, a'i hysbryd yn gystuddiol, y galwodd yr ARGLWYDD di � gwraig ifanc wedi ei gwrthod," medd dy Dduw.

⁷For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

⁷ "Am ennyd fechan y'th adewais, ond fe'th ddygaf yn �l � thosturi mawr.

⁸In the outpouring of wrath have I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting loving-kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer.

⁸ Am ychydig, mewn dicter moment, cuddiais fy wyneb rhagot; ond � chariad di�baid y tosturiaf wrthyt," medd yr ARGLWYDD, dy waredydd.

⁹For this is [as] the waters of Noah unto me, since I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth: so have I sworn that I will no more be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

⁹ "Y mae hyn i mi fel dyddiau Noa, pan dyngais nad �i dyfroedd Noa byth mwyach dros y ddaear; felly tyngaf na ddigiaf wrthyt ti byth mwy, na'th geryddu ychwaith.

¹⁰For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving-kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah, that hath mercy on thee.

¹⁰ Er i'r mynyddoedd symud, ac i'r bryniau siglo, ni symuda fy ffyddlondeb oddi wrthyt, a bydd fy nghyfamod heddwch yn ddi-sigl," medd yr ARGLWYDD, sy'n tosturio wrthyt.

¹¹[Thou] afflicted, tossed with tempest, not comforted! Behold, I will set thy stones in antimony, and lay thy foundations with sapphires;

¹¹ "Y druan helbulus, ddigysur! 'Rwyf am osod dy feini mewn morter, a'th sylfeini mewn saffir.

¹²and I will make thy battlements of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of precious stones.

¹² Gwnaf dy dyrau o ruddem, a'th byrth o risial; bydd dy fur i gyd yn feini dethol,

¹³And all thy children [shall be] taught of Jehovah, and great shall be the peace of thy children.

¹³ a'th adeiladwyr oll wedi eu dysgu gan yr ARGLWYDD. Daw llwyddiant mawr i'th blant,

¹⁴In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

¹⁴ a byddi wedi dy sylfaenu ar gyfiawnder; byddi'n bell oddi wrth orthrymder, heb ofn arnat, ac oddi wrth ddychryn, na ddaw'n agos atat.

¹⁵Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever gathereth together against thee shall fall because of thee.

¹⁵ Os bydd rhai yn ymosod arnat, nid oddi wrthyf fi y daw hyn; bydd pwy bynnag sy'n ymosod arnat yn cwympo o'th achos.

¹⁶Behold, it is I who have created the smith that bloweth in the fire of coal, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to ravage.

¹⁶ Edrych, myfi a greodd y gof, sy'n chwythu'r marwor yn d�n, ac yn llunio arf at ei waith; myfi hefyd a greodd y dinistrydd i ddistrywio.

¹⁷No weapon that is prepared against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah; and their righteousness is of me, saith Jehovah.

¹⁷ Ond ni lwydda unrhyw arf a luniwyd yn dy erbyn; gwrthbrofir pob tafod a'th gyhudda mewn barn. Dyma etifeddiaeth gweision yr ARGLWYDD, ac oddi wrthyf fi y daw eu goruchafiaeth," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
