Isaiah

63

1Who is this that cometh from Edom, with deep-red garments from Bozrah, this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? -- I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
1 Pwy yw hwn sy'n dod o Edom, yn dod o Bosra, a'i ddillad yn goch; y mae ei wisg yn hardd, a'i gerddediad yn llawn o nerth? "Myfi yw, yn cyhoeddi cyfiawnder, ac yn abl i waredu."
2-- Wherefore is redness in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat?
2 Pam y mae dy wisg yn goch, a'th ddillad fel un yn sathru mewn gwinwryf?
3I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the peoples not a man was with me; and I have trodden them in mine anger, and trampled them in my fury; and their blood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all mine apparel.
3 "Bm yn sathru'r grawnwin fy hunan, ac nid oedd neb o'r bobl gyda mi; sethrais hwy yn fy llid, a'u mathru yn fy nicter. Ymdaenodd eu gwaed dros fy nillad nes cochi fy ngwisgoedd i gyd;
4For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed had come.
4 oherwydd 'roedd fy mryd ar ddydd dial, a daeth fy mlwyddyn i waredu.
5And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: and mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
5 Edrychais, ond nid oedd neb i'm helpu, a synnais nad oedd neb i'm cynnal; fy mraich fy hun a'm gwaredodd, a chynhaliwyd fi gan fy nicter.
6And I have trodden down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury; and their blood have I brought down to the earth.
6 Sethrais y bobl yn fy llid, a'u meddwi yn fy nicter, a thywallt eu gwaed ar lawr."
7I will record the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed upon us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel which he hath bestowed upon them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses.
7 Mynegaf ffyddlondeb yr ARGLWYDD, a chanu ei glodydd am y cyfan a roddodd yr ARGLWYDD i ni, a'i ddaioni mawr i du375? Israel, am y cyfan a roddodd iddynt o'i drugaredd, ac o lawnder ei gariad di-sigl.
8And he said, They are indeed my people, children that will not lie; and he became their Saviour.
8 Fe ddywedodd, "Yn awr, fy mhobl i ydynt, plant nad ydynt yn twyllo", a daeth yn waredydd iddynt yn eu holl gystuddiau.
9In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them and carried them all the days of old.
9 Nid cennad nac angel, ond ef ei hun a'u hachubodd; yn ei gariad ac yn ei dosturi y gwaredodd hwy, a'u codi a'u cario drwy'r dyddiau gynt.
10But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit: and he turned to be their enemy; himself, he fought against them.
10 Ond buont yn wrthryfelgar, a gofidio'i ysbryd sanctaidd; troes yntau'n elyn iddynt, ac ymladd yn eu herbyn.
11But he remembered the days of old, Moses [and] his people: Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he that put his holy Spirit within him,
11 Yna fe gofiwyd am y dyddiau gynt, am Moses a'i bobl. Ple mae'r un a ddygodd allan o'r mr fugail ei braidd? Ple mae'r un a roes yn eu canol hwy ei ysbryd sanctaidd,
12his glorious arm leading them by the right hand of Moses, dividing the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name,
12 a pheri i'w fraich ogoneddus arwain deheulaw Moses, a hollti'r dyfroedd o'u blaen, i wneud iddo'i hun enw tragwyddol?
13-- who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, [and] they stumbled not?
13 Arweiniodd hwy trwy'r dyfnderoedd, fel arwain march yn yr anialwch;
14As cattle go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah gave them rest; so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
14 mor sicr eu troed ag ych yn mynd i lawr i'r dyffryn y tywysodd ysbryd yr ARGLWYDD hwy. Felly yr arweiniaist dy bobl, a gwneud iti enw ardderchog.
15Look down from the heavens, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory! Where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy tender mercies? Are they restrained toward me?
15 Edrych i lawr o'r nefoedd, o'th annedd sanctaidd, ardderchog, a gwl. Ple mae dy angerdd a'th nerth, tynerwch dy galon a'th dosturi? Paid ag ymatal rhagom,
16For thou art our Father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, Jehovah, art our Father; our Redeemer, from everlasting, is thy name.
16 oherwydd ti yw ein tad. Er nad yw Abraham yn ein hadnabod, nac Israel yn ein cydnabod, tydi, yr ARGLWYDD, yw ein tad, Ein Gwaredydd yw dy enw erioed.
17Why, O Jehovah, hast thou made us to err from thy ways, hast hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
17 Pam, ARGLWYDD, y gadewaist i ni grwydro oddi ar dy ffyrdd, a chaledu ein calonnau rhag dy ofni? Dychwel, er mwyn dy weision, llwythau dy etifeddiaeth.
18Thy holy people have possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
18 Pam y sathrodd annuwiolion dy gysegr, ac y sarnodd ein gelynion dy le sanctaidd?
19We have become [like those] over whom thou never barest rule, those not called by thy name.
19 Eiddot ti ydym ni erioed; ond ni fuost yn rheoli drostynt hwy, ac ni alwyd dy enw arnynt.
