1Righteous art thou, Jehovah, when I plead with thee; yet will I speak with thee of [thy] judgments. Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? [wherefore] are all they at ease that deal very treacherously?
1 Cyfiawn wyt, ARGLWYDD, pan ddadleuaf thi; er hynny, gosodaf fy achos o'th flaen: Pam y llwydda ffordd y drygionus, ac y ffynna pob twyllwr?
2Thou hast planted them, they also have taken root: they advance, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, but far from their reins.
2 Plennaist hwy, a gwreiddiasant; tyfant a dwyn ffrwyth. Yr wyt ar flaen eu tafod, ond ymhell o'u calon.
3But thou, Jehovah, knowest me; thou hast seen me, and proved my heart toward thee. Drag them out like sheep for the slaughter, and set them apart for the day of slaughter.
3 Ond yr wyt yn f'adnabod i, ARGLWYDD, yn fy ngweld, ac yn profi fy meddyliau tuag atat. Didola hwy fel defaid i'r lladdfa, a'u corlannu erbyn diwrnod lladd.
4How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of all the fields wither? Because of the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts and the birds perish; for they say, He will not see our end.
4 Pa hyd y galara'r tir, ac y gwywa'r glaswellt ym mhob maes? O achos drygioni y rhai sy'n trigo yno, ysgubwyd ymaith anifail ac aderyn, er i'r bobl ddweud, "Ni wl ef ein diwedd ni."
5If thou hast run with footmen, and they have wearied thee, how wilt thou then contend with horses? And if in a land of peace thou thinkest thyself in security, how wilt thou then do in the swelling of the Jordan?
5 "Os wyt wedi rhedeg gyda'r gwu375?r traed, a hwythau'n dy flino, pa fodd y cystedli meirch? Ac os wyt yn baglu mewn gwlad rwydd, pa fodd y llwyddi yng ngwlad wyllt yr Iorddonen?
6For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee, even they have cried aloud after thee. Believe them not, though they speak good [words] unto thee.
6 Oherwydd y mae hyd yn oed dy dylwyth a'th deulu dy hun wedi dy dwyllo; buont yn galw'n daer ar dy l; paid 'u coelio, er iddynt ddweud geiriau teg wrthyt.
7I have forsaken my house, I have cast off my heritage, I have given the beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.
7 Gadewais fy nhu375?, rhois heibio fy nhreftadaeth, rhois anwylyd fy nghalon yn llaw ei gelynion.
8My heritage is become unto me as a lion in the forest; it hath raised its voice against me: therefore have I hated it.
8 Aeth fy nhreftadaeth yn fy ngolwg fel llew yn y coed; y mae'n codi ei llais yn f'erbyn; am hynny yr wyf yn ei chasu.
9My heritage is unto me [as] a speckled bird of prey; the birds of prey round about are against her. Go, assemble all the beasts of the field, bring them to devour.
9 Onid yw fy nhreftadaeth i mi fel aderyn brith, a'r adar yn ymgasglu yn ei erbyn? Casglwch holl fwystfilod y maes, a'u dwyn i fwyta.
10Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness:
10 Y mae bugeiliaid lawer wedi distrywio fy ngwinllan, a sathru ar fy rhandir; gwnaethant fy rhandir dirion yn anial diffaith.
11they have made it a desolation; desolate, it mourneth unto me: the whole land is made desolate, for no man layeth it to heart.
11 Gwnaethant hi'n anrhaith, ac fe alara'r anrheithiedig wrthyf; anrheithiwyd yr holl wlad, ac nid oes neb yn malio.
12Spoilers are come upon all heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Jehovah devoureth from one end of the land even to the [other] end of the land: no flesh hath peace.
12 Daw dinistrwyr ar holl foelydd yr anialwch; y mae cleddyf yr ARGLWYDD yn difa'r wlad o'r naill ben i'r llall; nid oes heddwch i un cnawd.
13They have sown wheat, and they reap thorns; they have put themselves to pain, [and] do not profit. Be ye therefore ashamed of your revenues, because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.
13 Y maent yn hau gwenith ac yn medi drain, yn ymldd heb elwa dim; yn cael eu siomi yn eu cynhaeaf, oherwydd angerdd llid yr ARGLWYDD."
14Thus saith Jehovah against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them up out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
14 Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD am fy holl gymdogion drwg, sy'n ymyrryd 'r etifeddiaeth a roddais i'm pobl Israel i'w meddiannu: "Rwyf am eu diwreiddio o'u tir, a thynnu tu375? Jwda o'u plith.
15And it shall come to pass, after I have plucked them up, I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them back, each one to his inheritance, and each one to his land.
15 Ac yna, wedi i mi eu diwreiddio, fe drugarhaf wrthynt drachefn, a'u hadfer bob un i'w etifeddiaeth a'i dir.
16And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, [As] Jehovah liveth -- even as they taught my people to swear by Baal -- they shall be built up in the midst of my people.
16 Os dysgant yn drwyadl ffyrdd fy mhobl, a thyngu i'm henw, 'Byw yw'r ARGLWYDD', fel y dysgasant fy mhobl i dyngu i Baal, yna sefydlir hwy yng nghanol fy mhobl.
17And if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith Jehovah.
17 Ond os na wrandawant, yna'n sicr fe ddiwreiddiaf a llwyr ddinistrio'r genedl honno," medd yr ARGLWYDD.
