1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
1 "Myfi yw'r wir winwydden, a'm Tad yw'r gwinllannwr.
2[As to] every branch in me not bearing fruit, he takes it away; and [as to] every one bearing fruit, he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit.
2 Y mae ef yn torri i ffwrdd bob cangen ynof fi nad yw'n dwyn ffrwyth, ac yn glanhau pob un sydd yn dwyn ffrwyth, er mwyn iddi ddwyn mwy o ffrwyth.
3Ye are already clean by reason of the word which I have spoken to you.
3 Yr ydych chwi eisoes yn l�n trwy'r gair yr wyf wedi ei lefaru wrthych.
4Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abide in the vine, thus neither [can] ye unless ye abide in me.
4 Arhoswch ynof fi, a minnau ynoch chwi. Ni all y gangen ddwyn ffrwyth ohoni ei hun, heb iddi aros yn y winwydden; ac felly'n union ni allwch chwithau heb i chwi aros ynof fi.
5I am the vine, ye [are] the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, *he* bears much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.
5 Myfi yw'r winwydden; chwi yw'r canghennau. Y mae'r sawl sydd yn aros ynof fi, a minnau ynddo yntau, yn dwyn llawer o ffrwyth, oherwydd ar wah�n i mi ni allwch wneud dim.
6Unless any one abide in me he is cast out as the branch, and is dried up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
6 Os na fydd rhywun yn aros ynof fi, caiff ei daflu i ffwrdd fel y gangen ddiffrwyth, ac fe wywa; dyma'r canghennau a gesglir, i'w taflu i'r t�n a'u llosgi.
7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall come to pass to you.
7 Os arhoswch ynof fi, ac os erys fy ngeiriau ynoch chwi, gofynnwch am beth a fynnwch, ac fe'i rhoddir ichwi.
8In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and ye shall become disciples of mine.
8 Dyma sut y gogoneddir fy Nhad: trwy i chwi ddwyn llawer o ffrwyth a bod yn ddisgyblion i mi.
9As the Father has loved me, I also have loved you: abide in my love.
9 Fel y mae'r Tad wedi fy ngharu i, yr wyf finnau wedi eich caru chwi. Arhoswch yn fy nghariad i.
10If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
10 Os cadwch fy ngorch-mynion fe arhoswch yn fy nghariad, yn union fel yr wyf fi wedi cadw gorchmynion fy Nhad, ac yr wyf yn aros yn ei gariad ef.
11I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you, and your joy be full.
11 "Yr wyf wedi dweud hyn wrthych er mwyn i'm llawenydd i fod ynoch, ac i'ch llawenydd chwi fod yn gyflawn.
12This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.
12 Dyma fy ngorchymyn i: carwch eich gilydd fel y cerais i chwi.
13No one has greater love than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends.
13 Nid oes gan neb gariad mwy na hyn, sef bod rhywun yn rhoi ei einioes dros ei gyfeillion.
14Ye are my friends if ye practise whatever I command you.
14 Yr ydych chwi'n gyfeillion i mi os gwnewch yr hyn yr wyf fi'n ei orchymyn ichwi.
15I call you no longer bondmen, for the bondman does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things which I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.
15 Nid wyf mwyach yn eich galw yn weision, oherwydd nid yw'r gwas yn gwybod beth y mae ei feistr yn ei wneud. Yr wyf wedi eich galw yn gyfeillion, oherwydd yr wyf wedi gwneud yn hysbys i chwi bob peth a glywais gan fy Nhad.
16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and have set you that ye should go and [that] ye should bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should abide, that whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name he may give you.
16 Nid chwi a'm dewisodd i, ond myfi a'ch dewisodd chwi, a'ch penodi i fynd allan a dwyn ffrwyth, ffrwyth sy'n aros. Ac yna, fe rydd y Tad i chwi beth bynnag a ofynnwch ganddo yn fy enw i.
17These things I command you, that ye love one another.
17 Dyma'r gorchymyn yr wyf yn ei roi i chwi: carwch eich gilydd.
18If the world hate you, know that it has hated me before you.
18 "Os yw'r byd yn eich cas�u chwi, fe wyddoch ei fod wedi fy nghas�u i o'ch blaen chwi.
19If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on account of this the world hates you.
19 Pe baech yn perthyn i'r byd, byddai'r byd yn caru'r eiddo'i hun. Ond gan nad ydych yn perthyn i'r byd, oherwydd i mi eich dewis chwi allan o'r byd, y mae'r byd yn eich cas�u chwi.
20Remember the word which I said unto you, The bondman is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep also yours.
20 Cofiwch y gair a ddywedais i wrthych: 'Nid yw unrhyw was yn fwy na'i feistr.' Os erlidiasant fi, fe'ch erlidiant chwithau; os cadwasant fy ngair i, fe gadwant yr eiddoch chwithau.
21But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they have not known him that sent me.
21 Fe wn�nt hyn oll i chwi o achos fy enw i, am nad ydynt yn adnabod yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i.
22If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
22 Pe buaswn i heb ddod a llefaru wrthynt, ni buasai ganddynt bechod. Ond yn awr nid oes ganddynt esgus am eu pechod.
23He that hates me hates also my Father.
23 Y mae'r sawl sy'n fy nghas�u i yn cas�u fy Nhad hefyd.
24If I had not done among them the works which no other one has done, they had not had sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
24 Pe na buaswn wedi gwneud gweith-redoedd yn eu plith na wnaeth neb arall, ni buasai ganddynt bechod. Ond yn awr y maent wedi gweld, ac wedi cas�u fy Nhad a minnau.
25But that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, They hated me without a cause.
25 Ond rhaid oedd cyflawni'r gair sy'n ysgrifenedig yn eu Cyfraith hwy: 'Y maent wedi fy nghas�u heb achos.'
26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from with the Father, *he* shall bear witness concerning me;
26 "Pan ddaw'r Eiriolwr a anfonaf fi atoch oddi wrth y Tad, sef Ysbryd y Gwirionedd, sy'n dod oddi wrth y Tad, bydd ef yn tystiolaethu amdanaf fi.
27and ye too bear witness, because ye are with me from [the] beginning.
27 Ac yr ydych chwi hefyd yn tystiolaethu, am eich bod gyda mi o'r dechrau.
