Luke

14

1And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the rulers, [who was] of the Pharisees, to eat bread on [the] sabbath, that *they* were watching him.
1 Aeth i mewn i du375? un o arweinwyr y Phariseaid ar y Saboth am bryd o fwyd; ac yr oeddent hwy 'u llygaid arno.
2And behold, there was a certain dropsical [man] before him.
2 Ac yno ger ei fron yr oedd dyn 'r dropsi arno.
3And Jesus answering spoke unto the doctors of the law and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath?
3 A llefarodd Iesu wrth athrawon y Gyfraith a'r Phariseaid, gan ddweud, "A yw'n gyfreithlon iachu ar y Saboth, ai nid yw?"
4But they were silent. And taking him he healed him and let him go.
4 Ond ni ddywedasant hwy ddim. Yna cymerodd y claf a'i iachu a'i anfon ymaith.
5And answering he said to them, Of which of you shall an ass or ox fall into a well, that he does not straightway pull him up on the sabbath day?
5 Ac meddai wrthynt, "Pe bai mab neu ych unrhyw un ohonoch yn syrthio i bydew, oni fyddech yn ei dynnu allan ar unwaith, hyd yn oed ar y dydd Saboth?"
6And they were not able to answer him to these things.
6 Ni allent gynnig unrhyw ateb i hyn.
7And he spoke a parable to those that were invited, remarking how they chose out the first places, saying to them,
7 Yna adroddodd ddameg wrth y gwesteion, wrth iddo sylwi sut yr oeddent yn dewis y seddau anrhydedd:
8When thou art invited by any one to a wedding, do not lay thyself down in the first place at table, lest perhaps a more honourable than thou be invited by him,
8 "Pan wahoddir di gan rywun i wledd briodas, paid  chymryd y lle anrhydedd, rhag ofn ei fod wedi gwahodd rhywun amlycach na thi;
9and he who invited thee and him come and say to thee, Give place to this [man], and then thou begin with shame to take the last place.
9 oherwydd os felly, daw'r sawl a'ch gwahoddodd chwi'ch dau a dweud wrthyt, 'Rho dy le i hwn', ac yna byddi dithau mewn cywilydd yn cymryd y lle isaf.
10But when thou hast been invited, go and put thyself down in the last place, that when he who has invited thee comes, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have honour before all that are lying at table with thee;
10 Yn hytrach, pan wahoddir di, dos a chymer y lle isaf, fel pan ddaw'r gwahoddwr y dywed wrthyt, 'Gyfaill, tyrd yn uwch'; yna dangosir parch iti yng ngu373?ydd dy holl gyd-westeion.
11for every one that exalts himself shall be abased, and he that abases himself shall be exalted.
11 Oherwydd darostyngir pob un sy'n ei ddyrchafu ei hun, a dyrchefir pob un sy'n ei ddarostwng ei hun."
12And he said also to him that had invited him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsfolk, nor rich neighbours, lest it may be they also should invite thee in return, and a recompense be made thee.
12 Meddai hefyd wrth ei wahoddwr, "Pan fyddi'n trefnu cinio neu swper, paid gwahodd dy gyfeillion na'th frodyr na'th berthnasau na'th gymdogion cyfoethog, rhag ofn iddynt hwythau yn eu tro dy wahodd di, ac iti gael dy ad-dalu.
13But when thou makest a feast, call poor, crippled, lame, blind:
13 Pan fyddi'n trefnu gwledd, gwahodd yn hytrach y tlodion, yr anafusion, y cloffion, a'r deillion;
14and thou shalt be blessed; for they have not [the means] to recompense thee; for it shall be recompensed thee in the resurrection of the just.
14 a gwyn fydd dy fyd, am nad oes ganddynt fodd i dalu'n l iti; cei dy dalu'n l yn atgyfodiad y cyfiawn."
15And one of those that were lying at table with [them], hearing these things, said to him, Blessed [is] he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
15 Clywodd un o'i gyd-westeion hyn ac meddai wrtho, "Gwyn ei fyd pwy bynnag a gaiff gyfran yn y wledd yn nheyrnas Dduw."
16And he said to him, A certain man made a great supper and invited many.
16 Ond meddai ef wrtho, "Yr oedd dyn yn trefnu gwledd fawr. Gwahoddodd lawer o bobl,
17And he sent his bondman at the hour of supper to say to those who were invited, Come, for already all things are ready.
17 ac anfonodd ei was ar awr y wledd i ddweud wrth y gwahoddedigion, 'Dewch, y mae popeth yn barod yn awr.'
18And all began, without exception, to excuse themselves. The first said to him, I have bought land, and I must go out and see it; I pray thee hold me for excused.
18 Ond dechreuodd pawb ymesgusodi yn unfryd. Meddai'r cyntaf wrtho, 'Rwyf wedi prynu cae, ac y mae'n rhaid imi fynd allan i gael golwg arno; a wnei di fy esgusodi, os gweli di'n dda?'
19And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee hold me for excused.
19 Meddai un arall, 'Rwyf wedi prynu pum pr o ychen, ac rwyf ar fy ffordd i roi prawf arnynt; a wnei di fy esgusodi, os gweli di'n dda?'
20And another said, I have married a wife, and on this account I cannot come.
20 Ac meddai un arall, 'Rwyf newydd briodi, ac am hynny ni allaf ddod.'
21And the bondman came up and brought back word of these things to his lord. Then the master of the house, in anger, said to his bondman, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring here the poor and crippled and lame and blind.
21 Aeth y gwas at ei feistr a rhoi gwybod iddo. Yna digiodd meistr y tu375?, ac meddai wrth ei was, 'Dos allan ar unwaith i heolydd a strydoedd cefn y dref, a thyrd 'r tlodion a'r anafusion a'r deillion a'r cloffion i mewn yma.'
22And the bondman said, Sir, it is done as thou hast commanded, and there is still room.
22 Pan ddywedodd y gwas, 'Meistr, y mae dy orchymyn wedi ei gyflawni, ond y mae lle o hyd',
23And the lord said to the bondman, Go out into the ways and fences and compel to come in, that my house may be filled;
23 meddai ei feistr wrtho, 'Dos allan i'r ffyrdd ac i'r cloddiau, a myn ganddynt hwy ddod i mewn, fel y llenwir fy nhu375?;
24for I say to you, that not one of those men who were invited shall taste of my supper.
24 oherwydd rwy'n dweud wrthych na chaiff dim un o'r rheini oedd wedi eu gwahodd brofi fy ngwledd.'"
25And great crowds went with him; and, turning round, he said to them,
25 Yr oedd tyrfaoedd niferus yn teithio gydag ef, a throes a dweud wrthynt,
26If any man come to me, and shall not hate his own father and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, yea, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple;
26 "Os daw rhywun ataf fi heb gasu ei dad ei hun, a'i fam a'i wraig a'i blant a'i frodyr a'i chwiorydd, a hyd yn oed ei fywyd ei hun, ni all fod yn ddisgybl imi.
27and whoever does not carry his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
27 Pwy bynnag nad yw'n cario ei groes ei hun ac yn dod ar fy l i, ni all fod yn ddisgybl imi.
28For which of you, desirous of building a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, if he have what [is needed] to complete it;
28 Oherwydd os bydd un ohonoch chwi yn dymuno adeiladu tu373?r, oni fydd yn gyntaf yn eistedd i lawr i gyfrif y gost, er mwyn gweld a oes ganddo ddigon i gwblhau'r gwaith?
29in order that, having laid the foundation of it, and not being able to finish it, all who see it do not begin to mock at him,
29 Onid e, fe all ddigwydd iddo osod y sylfaen ac wedyn fethu gorffen, nes bod pawb sy'n gwylio yn mynd ati i'w watwar
30saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish?
30 gan ddweud, 'Dyma rywun a ddechreuodd adeiladu ac a fethodd orffen.'
31Or what king, going on his way to engage in war with another king, does not, sitting down first, take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him coming against him with twenty thousand?
31 Neu os bydd brenin ar ei ffordd i ryfela yn erbyn brenin arall, oni fydd yn gyntaf yn eistedd i lawr i ystyried a all ef, deng mil o filwyr, wrthsefyll un sy'n ymosod arno ag ugain mil?
32and if not, while he is yet far off, having sent an embassy, he asks for terms of peace.
32 Os na all, bydd yn anfon llysgenhadon i geisio telerau heddwch tra bo'r llall o hyd ymhell i ffwrdd.
33Thus then every one of you who forsakes not all that is his own cannot be my disciple.
33 Yr un modd, gan hynny, ni all neb ohonoch nad yw'n ymwrthod 'i holl feddiannau fod yn ddisgybl i mi.
34Salt [then] [is] good, but if the salt also has become savourless, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
34 "Peth da yw halen. Ond os cyll yr halen ei hun ei flas, pha beth y rhoddir blas arno?
35It is proper neither for land nor for dung; it is cast out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
35 Nid yw'n dda i'r pridd nac i'r domen; lluchir ef allan. Y sawl sydd chlustiau ganddo i wrando, gwrandawed."
