Matthew

18

1In that hour the disciples came to Jesus saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of the heavens?
1 Yr amser hwnnw daeth y disgyblion at Iesu a gofyn, "Pwy sydd fwyaf yn nheyrnas nefoedd?"
2And Jesus having called a little child to [him], set it in their midst,
2 Galwodd Iesu blentyn ato, a'i osod yn eu canol hwy,
3and said, Verily I say to you, Unless ye are converted and become as little children, ye will not at all enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
3 a dywedodd, "Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, heb gymryd eich troi a dod fel plant, nid ewch fyth i mewn i deyrnas nefoedd.
4Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, *he* is the greatest in the kingdom of the heavens;
4 Pwy bynnag, felly, fydd yn ei ddarostwng ei hun i fod fel y plentyn hwn, dyma'r un sydd fwyaf yn nheyrnas nefoedd.
5and whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name, receives me.
5 A phwy bynnag sy'n derbyn un plentyn fel hwn yn fy enw i, y mae'n fy nerbyn i.
6But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones who believe in me, it were profitable for him that a great millstone had been hanged upon his neck and he be sunk in the depths of the sea.
6 "Ond pwy bynnag sy'n achos cwymp i un o'r rhai bychain hyn sy'n credu ynof fi, byddai'n well iddo pe crogid maen melin mawr am ei wddf a'i foddi yn eigion y mr.
7Woe to the world because of offences! For it must needs be that offences come; yet woe to that man by whom the offence comes!
7 Gwae'r byd oherwydd achosion cwymp; y maent yn rhwym o ddod, ond gwae'r sawl sy'n gyfrifol am achos cwymp.
8And if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut it off and cast [it] from thee; it is good for thee to enter into life lame or maimed, [rather] than having two hands or two feet to be cast into eternal fire.
8 Os yw dy law neu dy droed yn achos cwymp i ti, tor hi ymaith a'i thaflu oddi wrthyt; y mae'n well iti fynd i mewn i'r bywyd yn anafus neu'n gloff, na chael dy daflu, a dwy law neu ddau droed gennyt, i'r tn tragwyddol.
9And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast [it] from thee; it is good for thee to enter into life one-eyed, [rather] than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire.
9 Ac os yw dy lygad yn achos cwymp i ti, tyn ef allan a'i daflu oddi wrthyt; y mae'n well iti fynd i mewn i'r bywyd yn unllygeidiog na chael dy daflu, a dau lygad gennyt, i dn uffern.
10See that ye do not despise one of these little ones; for I say unto you that their angels in [the] heavens continually behold the face of my Father who is in [the] heavens.
10 "Gwyliwch rhag i chwi ddirmygu un o'r rhai bychain hyn; oherwydd 'rwy'n dweud wrthych fod eu hangylion hwy yn y nefoedd bob amser yn edrych ar wyneb fy Nhad sydd yn y nefoedd.
11For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.
11 [{cf15i Oherwydd daeth Mab y Dyn i achub y colledig.}]
12What think ye? If a certain man should have a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not, leaving the ninety and nine on the mountains, go and seek the one that has gone astray?
12 Beth yw eich barn chwi? Os bydd gan rywun gant o ddefaid a bod un ohonynt yn mynd ar grwydr, oni fydd yn gadael y naw deg a naw ar y mynyddoedd ac yn mynd i chwilio am yr un sydd ar grwydr?
13And if it should come to pass that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more because of it than because of the ninety and nine not gone astray.
13 Ac os daw o hyd iddi, yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, y mae'n llawenhau mwy amdani nag am y naw deg a naw nad aethant ar grwydr.
14So it is not the will of your Father who is in [the] heavens that one of these little ones should perish.
14 Felly nid ewyllys eich Tad, yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd, yw bod un o'r rhai bychain hyn ar goll.
15But if thy brother sin against thee, go, reprove him between thee and him alone. If he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
15 "Os pecha dy gyfaill yn dy erbyn, dos a dangos ei fai iddo, o'r neilltu rhyngot ti ac ef. Os bydd yn gwrando arnat, fe enillaist dy gyfaill.
16But if he do not hear [thee], take with thee one or two besides, that every matter may stand upon the word of two witnesses or of three.
16 Ond os na fydd yn gwrando, cymer gyda thi un neu ddau arall, er mwyn i bob peth sefyll ar air dau neu dri o dystion.
17But if he will not listen to them, tell it to the assembly; and if also he will not listen to the assembly, let him be to thee as one of the nations and a tax-gatherer.
17 Os bydd yn gwrthod gwrando arnynt hwy, dywed wrth yr eglwys; ac os bydd yn gwrthod gwrando ar yr eglwys, cyfrifa ef fel un o'r Cenhedloedd a'r casglwr trethi.
18Verily I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on the earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on the earth shall be loosed in heaven.
18 "Yn wir, 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, pa bethau bynnag a waharddwch ar y ddaear, fe'u gwaherddir yn y nef, a pha bethau bynnag a ganiatewch ar y ddaear, fe'u caniateir yn y nef.
19Again I say to you, that if two of you shall agree on the earth concerning any matter, whatsoever it may be that they shall ask, it shall come to them from my Father who is in [the] heavens.
19 A thrachefn 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, os bydd dau ohonoch yn cytuno ar y ddaear i ofyn am unrhyw beth, fe'i rhoddir iddynt gan fy Nhad, yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd.
20For where two or three are gathered together unto my name, there am I in the midst of them.
20 Oherwydd lle y mae dau neu dri wedi dod ynghyd yn fy enw i, yr wyf yno yn eu canol."
21Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times?
21 Yna daeth Pedr a gofyn iddo, "Arglwydd, pa sawl gwaith y mae fy nghyfaill i bechu yn fy erbyn a minnau i faddau iddo? Ai hyd seithwaith?"
22Jesus says to him, I say not to thee until seven times, but until seventy times seven.
22 Meddai Iesu wrtho, "Nid hyd seithwaith a ddywedaf wrthyt, ond hyd saith deg seithwaith.
23For this cause the kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who would reckon with his bondmen.
23 Am hynny y mae teyrnas nefoedd yn debyg i frenin a benderfynodd adolygu cyfrifon ei weision.
24And having begun to reckon, one debtor of ten thousand talents was brought to him.
24 Dechreuodd ar y gwaith, a dygwyd ato was oedd yn ei ddyled o ddeng mil o godau o arian.
25But he not having anything to pay, [his] lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and his children, and everything that he had, and that payment should be made.
25 A chan na allai dalu gorchmynnodd ei feistr iddo gael ei werthu, ynghyd 'i wraig a'i blant a phopeth a feddai, er mwyn talu'r ddyled.
26The bondman therefore falling down did him homage, saying, Lord, have patience with me and I will pay thee all.
26 Syrthiodd y gwas ar ei liniau o flaen ei feistr a dweud, 'Bydd yn amyneddgar wrthyf, ac fe dalaf y cwbl iti.'
27And the lord of that bondman, being moved with compassion, loosed him and forgave him the loan.
27 A thosturiodd meistr y gwas hwnnw wrtho; gollyngodd ef yn rhydd a maddau'r ddyled iddo.
28But that bondman having gone out, found one of his fellow-bondmen who owed him a hundred denarii. And having seized him, he throttled him, saying, Pay [me] if thou owest anything.
28 Aeth y gwas hwnnw allan a daeth o hyd i un o'i gydweision a oedd yn ei ddyled ef o gant o ddarnau arian; ymaflodd ynddo gerfydd ei wddf gan ddweud, 'Tl dy ddyled.'
29His fellow-bondman therefore, having fallen down [at his feet], besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee.
29 Syrthiodd ei gydwas i lawr a chrefodd arno, 'Bydd yn amyneddgar wrthyf, ac fe dalaf iti.'
30But he would not, but went away and cast him into prison, until he should pay what was owing.
30 Ond gwrthododd; yn hytrach fe aeth a'i fwrw i garchar hyd nes y talai'r ddyled.
31But his fellow-bondmen, having seen what had taken place, were greatly grieved, and went and recounted to their lord all that had taken place.
31 Pan welodd ei gydweision beth oedd wedi digwydd, fe'u blinwyd yn fawr iawn, ac aethant ac adrodd yr holl hanes wrth eu meistr.
32Then his lord, having called him to [him], says to him, Wicked bondman! I forgave thee all that debt because thou besoughtest me;
32 Yna galwodd ei feistr ef ato, ac meddai, 'Y gwas drwg, fe faddeuais i yr holl ddyled honno i ti, am iti grefu arnaf.
33shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-bondman, as *I* also had compassion on thee?
33 Oni ddylit tithau fod wedi trugarhau wrth dy gydwas, fel y gwneuthum i wrthyt ti?'
34And his lord being angry delivered him to the tormentors till he paid all that was owing to him.
34 Ac yn ei ddicter traddododd ei feistr ef i'r poenydwyr hyd nes y talai'r ddyled yn llawn.
35Thus also my heavenly Father shall do to you if ye forgive not from your hearts every one his brother.
35 Felly hefyd y gwna fy Nhad nefol i chwithau os na faddeuwch bob un i'w gyfaill o'ch calon."
