Zechariah

7

1And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of Jehovah came unto Zechariah on the fourth [day] of the ninth month, [even] in Chislev,
1 Ym mhedwaredd flwyddyn y Brenin Dareius, ar y pedwerydd dydd o'r nawfed mis, Cislef, daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Sechareia.
2when Bethel had sent Sherezer and Regem-melech, and his men, to supplicate Jehovah,
2 Yr oedd pobl Bethel wedi anfon Sareser a Regem-melech a'u gwu375?r i geisio ffafr yr ARGLWYDD,
3[and] to speak unto the priests that were in the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done now so many years?
3 ac i ofyn i'r offeiriaid oedd yn nhu375? ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd ac i'r proffwydi, "A ddylid galaru ac ymprydio yn y pumed mis fel y gwneir ers blynyddoedd bellach?"
4And the word of Jehovah of hosts came unto me, saying,
4 Yna daeth gair ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd ataf a dweud,
5Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh [month], even those seventy years, did ye really fast unto me, [even] unto me?
5 "Dywed wrth holl bobl y tir ac wrth yr offeiriaid, 'Pan oeddech yn ymprydio ac yn galaru yn y pumed mis ac yn y seithfed mis y deng mlynedd a thrigain hyn, ai er fy mwyn i yr oeddech yn ymprydio?
6And when ye ate, and when ye drank, was it not you that were eating and drinking?
6 A phan oeddech yn bwyta ac yn yfed, onid er eich mwyn eich hunain yr oeddech yn bwyta ac yn yfed?
7Are not these the words that Jehovah cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and at peace, and her cities round about her, when the south and the lowland were inhabited?
7 Onid hyn a gyhoeddodd yr ARGLWYDD trwy'r proffwydi gynt pan oedd Jerwsalem yn boblog a llewyrchus, gyda'i threfi o'i hamgylch, a'r Negef a'r Seffela hefyd yn boblog?'"
8And the word of Jehovah came unto Zechariah, saying,
8 Daeth gair yr ARGLWYDD at Sechareia:
9Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew loving-kindness and mercies one to another,
9 "Fel hyn y dywed ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd: 'Barnwch yn deg, a dangoswch drugaredd a thosturi tuag at eich gilydd;
10and oppress not the widow and the fatherless, the stranger and the afflicted; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
10 peidiwch gorthrymu'r weddw, yr amddifad, yr estron a'r tlawd, na dyfeisio yn eich meddyliau ddrwg i'ch gilydd.'
11But they refused to hearken, and turned a rebellious shoulder, and made their ears heavy, that they should not hear.
11 Ond gwrthodasant wrando, a throi cefn yn ystyfnig arnaf, a chau eu clustiau rhag iddynt glywed.
12And they made their heart [as] an adamant, that they should not hear the law, and the words that Jehovah of hosts sent by his Spirit by the hand of the former prophets: therefore was there great wrath from Jehovah of hosts.
12 Gwnaethant eu calonnau fel carreg rhag clywed y gyfraith a'r geiriau a anfonodd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd 'i ysbryd trwy'r proffwydi gynt; a daeth digofaint mawr oddi wrth ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd.
13And it came to pass, like as he called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear, saith Jehovah of hosts;
13 'Nid oeddent hwy'n gwrando pan oeddwn i'n galw; yn yr un modd nid oeddwn innau'n gwrando pan oeddent hwy'n galw,' medd ARGLWYDD y Lluoedd,
14and I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not, and the land was desolate after them, so that no one passed through nor returned; and they laid the pleasant land desolate.
14 'a gwasgerais hwy ymhlith yr holl genhedloedd nad oeddent yn eu hadnabod, a gadael eu tir yn ddiffaith ar eu hl, heb neb yn mynd a dod yno. Felly y gwnaethant eu tir dymunol yn ddiffeithwch.'"
