¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹Ja mulle tuli Issanda sõna; ta ütles:

²Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

²'Inimesepoeg, pööra oma pale Seiri mäestiku poole ja kuuluta sellele prohvetlikult

³and say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.

³ning ütle temale: Nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal: Vaata, ma tulen sulle kallale, Seiri mäestik; ma sirutan oma käe su vastu ning teen sind tühjaks ja lagedaks.

⁴I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be a desolation: and thou shalt know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁴Su linnad teen ma varemeiks ja sa jäädki lagedaks. Ja sa saad tunda, et mina olen Issand.

⁵Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword, in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

⁵Et sa oled pidanud igavest viha ja oled andnud Iisraeli lapsed mõõga kätte nende õnnetuse ajal, lõpliku karistuse ajal,

⁶therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will certainly appoint thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou hast not hated blood, blood shall pursue thee.

⁶siis seepärast, nii tõesti kui ma elan, ütleb Issand Jumal, muudan ma sind vereks ja veri järgib sind; tõesti, sul on veresüüd ja veri järgib sind.

⁷And I will make mount Seir a desolation and an astonishment, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth;

⁷Ma teen Seiri mäestiku tühjaks ja lagedaks, ma hävitan sealt mineja ja tulija.

⁸and I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

⁸Ma täidan tema mäed mahalöödutega; su küngastel ja su orgudes ja kõigis su jäärakuis langevad mõõgaga mahalöödud.

⁹I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁹Ma teen sind igavesti lagedaks ja su linnades ei elata enam. Ja te saate tunda, et mina olen Issand.

¹⁰Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it, whereas Jehovah was there:

¹⁰Et sa oled öelnud: 'Mõlemad rahvad ja mõlemad maad on minu, me võtame need endile', kuigi Issand oli seal,

¹¹therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, as thou hast done out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

¹¹siis seepärast, nii tõesti kui ma elan, ütleb Issand Jumal, talitan ma sinuga vastavalt su vihale ja agarusele, mida sa oma vihkamises osutasid nende vastu; ja ma tutvustan ennast neile, kui ma mõistan kohut sinu üle,

¹²And thou shalt know that I Jehovah have heard all thy reproaches, which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.

¹²ja sa saad tunda, et mina olen Issand. Ma olen kuulnud kõiki su laimamisi, mis sa oled rääkinud Iisraeli mägede kohta, öeldes: 'Need on tehtud lagedaks, antud meile roaks.'

¹³And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].

¹³Te olete suurustanud mu ees oma suuga ja olete karjunud mu vastu oma sõnu; ma olen seda kuulnud.

¹⁴Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee a desolation.

¹⁴Nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal: Kogu maa rõõmuks teen ma su lagedaks.

¹⁵As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolated, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be a desolation, O mount Seir, and all Edom, the whole of it: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁵Et sa rõõmustasid Iisraeli soo pärisosa pärast, kui see tehti lagedaks, siis talitan ma sinuga nõndasamuti: lagedaks saad sina, Seiri mäestik, ja kogu Edom. Ja nad saavad tunda, et mina olen Issand.
