¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹Ja mulle tuli Issanda sõna; ta ütles:

²Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

²'Inimesepoeg, pööra oma pale Iisraeli mägede poole ja kuuluta neile prohvetlikult

³and say, Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys: Behold, I, [even] I, do bring a sword upon you, and will destroy your high places.

³ning ütle: Iisraeli mäed, kuulge Issanda Jumala sõna! Nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal mägedele ja küngastele, jäärakutele ja orgudele: Vaata, ma toon teie kallale mõõga ja hävitan teie ohvrikünkad.

⁴And your altars shall be desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain [men] before your idols;

⁴Teie altarid rüüstatakse ja teie suitsutusaltarid purustatakse; ja ma lasen teie hulgast mahalööduil langeda teie ebajumalate ette.

⁵and I will lay the dead bodies of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

⁵Ma panen Iisraeli laste laibad nende ebajumalate ette ja puistan teie luud teie altarite ümber.

⁶In all your dwelling-places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your sun-images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

⁶Kõigis teie asupaigus muutuvad linnad varemeiks ja ohvrikünkad laastatuks; nõnda jäävad teie altarid varemeiks ja rüüstatuks, teie ebajumalad purustatuks ja hävitatuks, teie suitsutusaltarid lammutatuks ja teie tööd ärapühituks.

⁷And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁷Mahalöödud langevad teie keskel, ja siis te tunnete, et mina olen Issand!

⁸Yet will I leave a remnant, in that ye shall have some escaped from the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

⁸Aga ma jätan järele jäägi: teil on mõõga eest pääsenuid paganate seas, kui teid maid mööda pillutatakse.

⁹And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they have been carried captives, when I shall have broken their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols; and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed, in all their abominations.

⁹Ja need teie hulgast, kes pääsevad, mõtlevad minu peale paganate seas, kuhu nad on vangi viidud, siis kui ma olen purustanud nende truuduseta südamed, mis minu juurest on lahkunud, ja nende silmad, mis truuduseta on järginud nende ebajumalaid; ja nad tülgastuvad oma kuritegude pärast, mis nad on teinud, kõigi oma jäleduste pärast.

¹⁰And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah: I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

¹⁰Ja nad saavad tunda, et mina olen Issand; ma ei ole ilmaaegu rääkinud, et ma valmistan neile selle õnnetuse.

¹¹Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the abominations of the iniquities of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

¹¹Nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal: Löö käsi kokku ja trambi jalgadega ning ütle: 'Oh häda!' kõigi Iisraeli soo vastikute jäleduste pärast. Nad langevad mõõga, nälja ja katku läbi.

¹²He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that is left, and is besieged, shall die by the famine: and I will accomplish my fury upon them.

¹²Kes on kaugel, sureb katku, ja kes on ligidal, langeb mõõga läbi, aga järelejäänu ja hoitu sureb nälga; nõnda ma valan nende peale oma tulise viha.

¹³And ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when their slain shall be among their idols, round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick terebinth, the places where they offered sweet savour to all their idols.

¹³Ja te saate tunda, et mina olen Issand, kui teie hulgast mahalöödud on teie ebajumalate keskel ümber teie altarite igal kõrgel künkal, kõigil mäetippudel ning iga halja puu ja iga oksliku tamme all paigus, kus nad on teinud uimastuslõhna kõigile oma ebajumalaile.

¹⁴And I will stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness of Diblath, in all their dwellings; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁴Ja ma sirutan oma käe välja nende vastu ning teen maa lagedaks ja laastatuks kõrbest kuni Riblani kõigis nende asupaigus; ja nad saavad tunda, et mina olen Issand.'
