1Taaveti laul. Issand on mu karjane, mul pole millestki puudust.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters.
2Haljale aasale paneb ta mind lebama, hingamisveele saadab ta mind;
3He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
3tema kosutab mu hinge. Ta juhib mind õiguse rööbastesse oma nime pärast.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
4Ka kui ma kõnniksin pimedas orus, ei karda ma kurja, sest sina oled minuga; su karjasekepp ja su sau, need trööstivad mind.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
5Sa katad mu ette laua mu vastaste silma all; sa võiad mu pead õliga, mu karikas on pilgeni täis.
6Surely, goodness and loving-kindness shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of Jehovah for the length of the days.
6Ainult headus ja heldus järgivad mind kõik mu elupäevad ja ma jään Issanda kotta eluajaks.
