1אלה בני ישראל ראובן שמעון לוי ויהודה יששכר וזבלון׃
2Dan, Joseph and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
2דן יוסף ובנימן נפתלי גד ואשר׃
3The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah: [which] three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and he slew him.
3בני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה שלושה נולד לו מבת שוע הכנענית ויהי ער בכור יהודה רע בעיני יהוה וימיתהו׃
4And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Pherez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
4ותמר כלתו ילדה לו את פרץ ואת זרח כל בני יהודה חמשה׃
5The sons of Pherez: Hezron and Hamul.
5בני פרץ חצרון וחמול׃
6And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
6ובני זרח זמרי ואיתן והימן וכלכל ודרע כלם חמשה׃
7And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the accursed thing.
7ובני כרמי עכר עוכר ישראל אשר מעל בחרם׃
8And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.
8ובני איתן עזריה׃
9And the sons of Hezron, who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
9ובני חצרון אשר נולד לו את ירחמאל ואת רם ואת כלובי׃
10And Ram begot Amminadab; and Amminadab begot Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
10ורם הוליד את עמינדב ועמינדב הוליד את נחשון נשיא בני יהודה׃
11and Nahshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Boaz,
11ונחשון הוליד את שלמא ושלמא הוליד את בעז׃
12and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse;
12ובעז הוליד את עובד ועובד הוליד את ישי׃
13and Jesse begot his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,
13ואישי הוליד את בכרו את אליאב ואבינדב השני ושמעא השלישי׃
14Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
14נתנאל הרביעי רדי החמישי׃
15Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;
15אצם הששי דויד השבעי׃
16and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.
16ואחיתיהם צרויה ואביגיל ובני צרויה אבשי ויואב ועשה אל שלשה׃
17And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
17ואביגיל ילדה את עמשא ואבי עמשא יתר הישמעאלי׃
18And Caleb the son of Hezron had children by Azubah [his] wife, and by Jerioth: her sons are these: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
18וכלב בן חצרון הוליד את עזובה אשה ואת יריעות ואלה בניה ישר ושובב וארדון׃
19And Azubah died, and Caleb took him Ephrath, and she bore him Hur.
19ותמת עזובה ויקח לו כלב את אפרת ותלד לו את חור׃
20And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezaleel.
20וחור הוליד את אורי ואורי הוליד את בצלאל׃
21And afterwards Hezron went to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.
21ואחר בא חצרון אל בת מכיר אבי גלעד והוא לקחה והוא בן ששים שנה ותלד לו את שגוב׃
22And Segub begot Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead;
22ושגוב הוליד את יאיר ויהי לו עשרים ושלוש ערים בארץ הגלעד׃
23and Geshur and Aram took the villages of Jair from them, with Kenath and its dependent towns, sixty cities. All these were sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
23ויקח גשור וארם את חות יאיר מאתם את קנת ואת בנתיה ששים עיר כל אלה בני מכיר אבי גלעד׃
24And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, Abijah, Hezron's wife, bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.
24ואחר מות חצרון בכלב אפרתה ואשת חצרון אביה ותלד לו את אשחור אבי תקוע׃
25And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were: Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, of Ahijah.
25ויהיו בני ירחמאל בכור חצרון הבכור רם ובונה וארן ואצם אחיה׃
26And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
26ותהי אשה אחרת לירחמאל ושמה עטרה היא אם אונם׃
27And the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
27ויהיו בני רם בכור ירחמאל מעץ וימין ועקר׃
28And the sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
28ויהיו בני אונם שמי וידע ובני שמי נדב ואבישור׃
29And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.
29ושם אשת אבישור אביהיל ותלד לו את אחבן ואת מוליד׃
30And the sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled died without sons.
30ובני נדב סלד ואפים וימת סלד לא בנים׃
31And the sons of Appaim: Jishi; and the sons of Jishi: Sheshan; and the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
31ובני אפים ישעי ובני ישעי ששן ובני ששן אחלי׃
32And the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without sons.
32ובני ידע אחי שמי יתר ויונתן וימת יתר לא בנים׃
33And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
33ובני יונתן פלת וזזא אלה היו בני ירחמאל׃
34And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters; and Sheshan had an Egyptian servant, whose name was Jarha;
34ולא היה לששן בנים כי אם בנות ולששן עבד מצרי ושמו ירחע׃
35and Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai.
35ויתן ששן את בתו לירחע עבדו לאשה ותלד לו את עתי׃
36And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad,
36ועתי הליד את נתן ונתן הוליד את זבד׃
37and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed,
37וזבד הוליד את אפלל ואפלל הוליד את עובד׃
38and Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah,
38ועובד הוליד את יהוא ויהוא הוליד את עזריה׃
39and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Elasah,
39ועזריה הליד את חלץ וחלץ הליד את אלעשה׃
40and Elasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,
40ואלעשה הליד את ססמי וססמי הליד את שלום׃
41and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.
41ושלום הוליד את יקמיה ויקמיה הליד את אלישמע׃
42And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
42ובני כלב אחי ירחמאל מישע בכרו הוא אבי זיף ובני מרשה אבי חברון׃
43And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
43ובני חברון קרח ותפח ורקם ושמע׃
44And Shema begot Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem begot Shammai;
44ושמע הוליד את רחם אבי ירקעם ורקם הוליד את שמי׃
45and the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.
45ובן שמי מעון ומעון אבי בית צור׃
46And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.
46ועיפה פילגש כלב ילדה את חרן ואת מוצא ואת גזז וחרן הליד את גזז׃
47And the sons of Jehdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
47ובני יהדי רגם ויותם וגישן ופלט ועיפה ושעף׃
48Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah;
48פלגש כלב מעכה ילד שבר ואת תרחנה׃
49and she bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
49ותלד שעף אבי מדמנה את שוא אבי מכבנה ואבי גבעא ובת כלב עכסה׃
50These are the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah: Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,
50אלה היו בני כלב בן חור בכור אפרתה שובל אבי קרית יערים׃
51Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.
51שלמא אבי בית לחם חרף אבי בית גדר׃
52And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, Hazi-Hammenuhoth.
52ויהיו בנים לשובל אבי קרית יערים הראה חצי המנחות׃
53And the families of Kirjath-jearim were the Jithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zoreathites and the Eshtaolites.
53ומשפחות קרית יערים היתרי והפותי והשמתי והמשרעי מאלה יצאו הצרעתי והאשתאלי׃
54The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites. Atroth-Beth-Joab, and the Hazi-Hammana-hethites, the Zorites;
54בני שלמא בית לחם ונטופתי עטרות בית יואב וחצי המנחתי הצרעי׃
55and the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Tireathites, the Shimeathites, the Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
55ומשפחות ספרים ישבו יעבץ תרעתים שמעתים שוכתים המה הקינים הבאים מחמת אבי בית רכב׃
