¹The divisions of the doorkeepers. Of the Korahites: Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

¹למחלקות לשערים לקרחים משלמיהו בן קרא מן בני אסף׃

²And Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

²ולמשלמיהו בנים זכריהו הבכור ידיעאל השני זבדיהו השלישי יתניאל הרביעי׃

³Elam the fifth, Johanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.

³עילם החמישי יהוחנן הששי אליהועיני השביעי׃

⁴-- And the sons of Obed-Edom: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,

⁴ולעבד אדם בנים שמעיה הבכור יהוזבד השני יואח השלשי ושכר הרביעי ונתנאל החמישי׃

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God had blessed him.

⁵עמיאל הששי יששכר השביעי פעלתי השמיני כי ברכו אלהים׃

⁶And to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who were rulers in their father's house; for they were mighty men of valour.

⁶ולשמעיה בנו נולד בנים הממשלים לבית אביהם כי גבורי חיל המה׃

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, [and] Elzabad, whose brethren were valiant men, Elihu and Semachiah.

⁷בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אלזבד אחיו בני חיל אליהו וסמכיהו׃

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service, were sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

⁸כל אלה מבני עבד אדם המה ובניהם ואחיהם איש חיל בכח לעבדה ששים ושנים לעבד אדם׃

⁹-- And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, men of valour, eighteen.

⁹ולמשלמיהו בנים ואחים בני חיל שמונה עשר׃

¹⁰-- And Hosah, of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri the head, for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the head;

¹⁰ולחסה מן בני מררי בנים שמרי הראש כי לא היה בכור וישימהו אביהו לראש׃

¹¹Hilkijah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹חלקיהו השני טבליהו השלשי זכריהו הרבעי כל בנים ואחים לחסה שלשה עשר׃

¹²Among these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, among the head-men, as to the charges together with their brethren, for performing the service in the house of Jehovah.

¹²לאלה מחלקות השערים לראשי הגברים משמרות לעמת אחיהם לשרת בבית יהוה׃

¹³And they cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.

¹³ויפילו גורלות כקטן כגדול לבית אבותם לשער ושער׃

¹⁴And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah; and they cast lots for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, and his lot came out northward;

¹⁴ויפל הגורל מזרחה לשלמיהו וזכריהו בנו יועץ בשכל הפילו גורלות ויצא גורלו צפונה׃

¹⁵to Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

¹⁵לעבד אדם נגבה ולבניו בית האספים׃

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the ascent, watch against watch.

¹⁶לשפים ולחסה למערב עם שער שלכת במסלה העולה משמר לעמת משמר׃

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and in the storehouse two [and] two.

¹⁷למזרח הלוים ששה לצפונה ליום ארבעה לנגבה ליום ארבעה ולאספים שנים שנים׃

¹⁸At the portico westward, four at the causeway, two at the portico.

¹⁸לפרבר למערב ארבעה למסלה שנים לפרבר׃

¹⁹These are the divisions of the doorkeepers among the sons of the Korahites and among the sons of Merari.

¹⁹אלה מחלקות השערים לבני הקרחי ולבני מררי׃

²⁰And the Levites: Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

²⁰והלוים אחיה על אוצרות בית האלהים ולאצרות הקדשים׃

²¹The sons of Laadan, the sons of the Gershonites of Laadan, chief fathers of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli;

²¹בני לעדן בני הגרשני ללעדן ראשי האבות ללעדן הגרשני יחיאלי׃

²²the sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Jehovah.

²²בני יחיאלי זתם ויואל אחיו על אצרות בית יהוה׃

²³As to the Amramites, the Jizharites, the Hebronites, the Uzzielites....

²³לעמרמי ליצהרי לחברוני לעזיאלי׃

²⁴And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was overseer of the treasures.

²⁴ושבאל בן גרשום בן משה נגיד על האצרות׃

²⁵And his brethren, of Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, and Isaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

²⁵ואחיו לאליעזר רחביהו בנו וישעיהו בנו וירם בנו וזכרי בנו ושלמות בנו׃

²⁶This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which king David, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated

²⁶הוא שלמות ואחיו על כל אצרות הקדשים אשר הקדיש דויד המלך וראשי האבות לשרי האלפים והמאות ושרי הצבא׃

²⁷(from the wars and out of the spoils had they dedicated [them], to maintain the house of Jehovah),

²⁷מן המלחמות ומן השלל הקדישו לחזק לבית יהוה׃

²⁸and all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated: all that was dedicated was under the hand of Shelomith and of his brethren.

²⁸וכל ההקדיש שמואל הראה ושאול בן קיש ואבנר בן נר ויואב בן צרויה כל המקדיש על יד שלמית ואחיו׃

²⁹Of the Jizharites, Chenaniah and his sons were over Israel, for the outward business for officers and judges.

²⁹ליצהרי כנניהו ובניו למלאכה החיצונה על ישראל לשטרים ולשפטים׃

³⁰Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, for the administration of Israel on this side Jordan westward, for all the business of Jehovah, and for the service of the king.

³⁰לחברוני חשביהו ואחיו בני חיל אלף ושבע מאות על פקדת ישראל מעבר לירדן מערבה לכל מלאכת יהוה ולעבדת המלך׃

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the head; (as to the Hebronites, according to their families according to the fathers: in the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jaazer in Gilead;)

³¹לחברוני יריה הראש לחברוני לתלדתיו לאבות בשנת הארבעים למלכות דויד נדרשו וימצא בהם גבורי חיל ביעזיר גלעד׃

³²and his brethren, men of valour, two thousand seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and the affairs of the king.

³²ואחיו בני חיל אלפים ושבע מאות ראשי האבות ויפקידם דויד המלך על הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט המנשי לכל דבר האלהים ודבר המלך׃
