¹בצאת ישראל ממצרים בית יעקב מעם לעז׃

²Judah was his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

²היתה יהודה לקדשו ישראל ממשלותיו׃

³The sea saw it and fled, the Jordan turned back;

³הים ראה וינס הירדן יסב לאחור׃

⁴The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.

⁴ההרים רקדו כאילים גבעות כבני צאן׃

⁵What ailed thee, thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou turnedst back?

⁵מה לך הים כי תנוס הירדן תסב לאחור׃

⁶Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams? ye hills, like lambs?

⁶ההרים תרקדו כאילים גבעות כבני צאן׃

⁷Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the +God of Jacob,

⁷מלפני אדון חולי ארץ מלפני אלוה יעקב׃

⁸Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

⁸ההפכי הצור אגם מים חלמיש למעינו מים׃
