1I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications;
1אהבתי כי ישמע יהוה את קולי תחנוני׃
2For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during [all] my days.
2כי הטה אזנו לי ובימי אקרא׃
3The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow:
3אפפוני חבלי מות ומצרי שאול מצאוני צרה ויגון אמצא׃
4Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.
4ובשם יהוה אקרא אנה יהוה מלטה נפשי׃
5Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.
5חנון יהוה וצדיק ואלהינו מרחם׃
6Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
6שמר פתאים יהוה דלותי ולי יהושיע׃
7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.
7שובי נפשי למנוחיכי כי יהוה גמל עליכי׃
8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
8כי חלצת נפשי ממות את עיני מן דמעה את רגלי מדחי׃
9I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.
9אתהלך לפני יהוה בארצות החיים׃
10I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.
10האמנתי כי אדבר אני עניתי מאד׃
11I said in my haste, All men are liars.
11אני אמרתי בחפזי כל האדם כזב׃
12What shall I render unto Jehovah, [for] all his benefits toward me?
12מה אשיב ליהוה כל תגמולוהי עלי׃
13I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.
13כוס ישועות אשא ובשם יהוה אקרא׃
14I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.
14נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה נא לכל עמו׃
15Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.
15יקר בעיני יהוה המותה לחסידיו׃
16Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
16אנה יהוה כי אני עבדך אני עבדך בן אמתך פתחת למוסרי׃
17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.
17לך אזבח זבח תודה ובשם יהוה אקרא׃
18I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,
18נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה נא לכל עמו׃
19In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
