⁸And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, [who was] over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren;

⁹and Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them as watches.

¹⁰And Jeshua begot Joiakim, and Joiakim begot Eliashib, and Eliashib begot Joiada,

¹¹and Joiada begot Jonathan, and Jonathan begot Jaddua.

²²of the Levites, the chief fathers were recorded in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, and the priests, until the reign of Darius the Persian.

²²Daftar tentang kepala-kepala keluarga orang Lewi dan keluarga imam telah dicatat pada zaman para Imam Agung berikut ini: Elyasib, Yoyada, Yohanan dan Yadua. Catatan itu selesai ketika Darius memerintah sebagai raja Persia.

²³The children of Levi, the chief fathers, were recorded in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

²³Tetapi tentang kepala-kepala keluarga kaum Lewi hanyalah tercatat sampai zaman Yonatan cucu Elyasib.

²⁴And the chief Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise [and] to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

²⁴Di bawah pimpinan Hasabya, Serebya, Yesua, Binui dan Kadmiel, orang-orang Lewi dibagi dalam kelompok-kelompok. Setiap kali ada dua kelompok yang bertugas memuji TUHAN dan memberi syukur kepada-Nya secara berbalas-balasan, sesuai dengan peraturan Raja Daud, hamba Allah itu.

²⁵Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were doorkeepers keeping the ward at the storehouses of the gates.

²⁵Para penjaga pintu gerbang Rumah TUHAN yang ditugaskan menjaga kamar-kamar perbekalan di dekat pintu gerbang Rumah TUHAN ialah: Matanya, Bakbukya, Obaja, Mesulam, Talmon dan Akub.

²⁶These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

²⁶Mereka itu hidup pada zaman Yoyakim anak Yesua dan cucu Yozadak dan pada zaman Gubernur Nehemia dan Imam Ezra, ahli Hukum itu.

²⁷And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to hold the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, [with] cymbals, lutes and harps.

²⁷Ketika tembok kota Yerusalem diresmikan, orang-orang Lewi dipanggil dari segala tempat tinggal mereka, supaya ikut memeriahkan peristiwa itu dengan nyanyian-nyanyian syukur, dan dengan musik gambus dan kecapi.

²⁸And the children of the singers were assembled, both from the plain [of Jordan] round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites,

²⁸Maka berkumpullah para penyanyi dari keluarga-keluarga Lewi itu, baik dari daerah tempat tinggalnya di sekitar Yerusalem, maupun dari kota-kota di sekitar Netofa,

²⁹also from Beth-Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves hamlets round about Jerusalem.

²⁹dari Bet-Gilgal, Geba dan Asmawet.

³⁰And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates and the wall.

³⁰Para imam dan orang-orang Lewi itu melakukan upacara pembersihan bagi diri mereka kemudian bagi rakyat, bagi pintu-pintu gerbang dan tembok kota.

³¹And I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great choirs and processions, on the right hand upon the wall towards the dung-gate.

³¹Aku persilakan para pemimpin Yehuda naik ke atas tembok untuk mengatur dua kelompok besar yang akan berbaris mengelilingi kota sambil menyanyikan pujian syukur kepada Allah. Kelompok yang pertama berbaris di atas tembok, menuju ke kanan, ke Gerbang Sampah.

³²And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

³²Hosaya berjalan di belakang para penyanyi, diikuti oleh sebagian dari para pemimpin orang Yehuda.

³³and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

³³Para imam berikut ini berjalan di belakang mereka sambil meniup trompet: Azarya, Ezra, Mesulam, Yehuda, Benyamin, Semaya dan Yeremia. Mereka diikuti oleh Zakharia anak Yonatan dan cucu Semaya. Beberapa dari nenek moyangnya ialah: Matanya, Mikha, Zakur dari kaum Asaf.

³⁴Judah and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

³⁵and [certain] of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

³⁵(12:33)

³⁶and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe before them.

³⁶Di belakangnya berjalan anggota-anggota dari kaumnya, yaitu: Semaya, Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netaneel, Yehuda dan Hanani. Mereka semua membawa alat-alat musik, serupa dengan yang dimainkan oleh Raja Daud, hamba Allah itu. Imam Ezra, ahli Hukum Allah itu, berjalan di kepala barisan itu.

³⁷And at the fountain-gate, and over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water-gate eastward.

³⁷Sesampai di Pintu Gerbang Air Mancur mereka membelok dan mendaki tangga Kota Daud, melalui istana Daud, lalu kembali ke tembok pada Pintu Gerbang Air di sebelah timur kota.

³⁸And the second choir went in the opposite direction upon the wall, and I after them, and the half of the people, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even to the broad wall;

³⁸Kelompok penyanyi yang satu lagi berbaris di atas tembok menuju ke kiri, dan aku mengikutinya bersama-sama dengan sebagian dari rakyat. Kami berbaris melalui Menara Perapian sampai ke Tembok Lebar.

³⁹and from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the gate of the old [wall], and above the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even to the sheep-gate; and they stood still in the prison-gate.

³⁹Lalu kami melalui Pintu Gerbang Efraim, Pintu Gerbang Lama, Pintu Gerbang Ikan, Menara Hananeel dan Menara Mea sampai ke Pintu Gerbang Domba. Barisan kami berhenti di dekat Pintu Gerbang Penjagaan dekat Rumah TUHAN.

⁴⁰And both choirs stood in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;

⁴⁰Maka sampailah kedua kelompok penyanyi itu di dekat Rumah TUHAN. Selain para pemimpin di dalam kelompokku,

⁴¹and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets;

⁴¹ikut juga imam-imam yang meniup trompet. Mereka adalah: Elyakim, Maaseya, Minyamin, Mikha, Elyoenai, Zakharia dan Hananya;

⁴²and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud; and Jizrahiah was their overseer.

⁴²di belakang mereka berjalan Maaseya, Semaya, Eleazar, Uzi, Yohanan, Malkia, Elam dan Ezer. Para penyanyi menyanyi di bawah pimpinan Yizrahya.

⁴³And that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

⁴³Pada hari itu banyak kurban yang dipersembahkan kepada TUHAN. Rakyat bersukaria karena Allah telah membuat mereka berbahagia. Para wanita dan anak-anak juga ikut berpesta, dan suara mereka yang riang gembira terdengar sampai jauh.

⁴⁴And at that time men were appointed over the chambers of the treasures for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, out of the fields of the cities, the portions assigned by the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests, and over the Levites that waited.

⁴⁴Pada waktu itu beberapa orang ditugaskan mengawasi kamar-kamar perbekalan tempat menyimpan sumbangan-sumbangan untuk Rumah TUHAN, termasuk persembahan persepuluhan dan hasil bumi yang pertama setiap tahun. Para pengawas itu wajib mengumpulkan sumbangan-sumbangan itu dari ladang-ladang di sekitar kota-kota. Sumbangan-sumbangan itu diserahkan kepada para imam dan orang-orang Lewi, sesuai dengan peraturan Hukum. Orang-orang Yehuda menghargai para imam dan orang-orang Lewi itu,

⁴⁵And, with the singers and the doorkeepers, they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David [and] of Solomon his son.

⁴⁵karena merekalah yang melakukan upacara penyucian dan upacara-upacara lain yang telah diperintahkan oleh Allah. Para pemain musik dan penjaga gerbang Rumah TUHAN juga melakukan tugas-tugas mereka, sesuai dengan peraturan Raja Daud dan Salomo, putranya.

⁴⁶For of old, in the days of David and Asaph, there were the chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgivings to God.

⁴⁶Semenjak zaman Raja Daud dan ahli musik Asaf, para penyanyi telah menyanyikan lagu-lagu pujian syukur bagi Allah.

⁴⁷And all Israel, in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the doorkeepers, every day what was needed, and they consecrated things for the Levites; and the Levites consecrated for the children of Aaron.

⁴⁷Pada zaman Zerubabel dan juga pada masa Nehemia, seluruh rakyat Israel memberikan persembahan untuk mencukupi kebutuhan sehari-hari para penyanyi dan penjaga gerbang Rumah TUHAN. Rakyat memberikan persembahan khusus kepada orang-orang Lewi dan orang-orang Lewi pun memberikan kepada para imam bagian yang sudah ditentukan.
