¹{A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my ùGod; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:

¹Mazmur Daud, ketika ia berada di padang gurun Yehuda. (63-2) Ya Allah, Engkaulah Allahku, kucari dan kurindukan Engkau. Seperti tanah tandus haus akan air, begitulah aku haus akan Dikau.

²To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;

²(63-3) Biarlah aku memandang Engkau di Rumah-Mu, dan melihat kekuatan dan keagungan-Mu.

³For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.

³(63-4) Kasih-Mu lebih berharga dari hidup, sebab itu aku memuji Engkau.

⁴So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

⁴(63-5) Seumur hidupku aku bersyukur kepada-Mu; kuangkat tanganku kepada-Mu sambil berdoa.

⁵My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips.

⁵(63-6) Kupuji Engkau dengan bersorak gembira, sebab Engkau memuaskan jiwaku seperti dengan makanan lezat.

⁶When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:

⁶(63-7) Waktu berbaring di tempat tidur, kuingat pada-Mu; sepanjang malam aku merenungkan Engkau,

⁷For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.

⁷(63-8) sebab Engkaulah yang telah menolong aku; dalam naungan sayap-Mu aku menyanyi gembira.

⁸My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

⁸(63-9) Kupegang Engkau erat-erat, tangan-Mu menopang aku.

⁹But those that seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth;

⁹(63-10) Tetapi orang-orang yang mau membunuh aku akan turun ke dunia orang mati.

¹⁰They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.

¹⁰(63-11) Mereka akan tewas dalam pertempuran, dan menjadi makanan binatang buas.

¹¹But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

¹¹(63-12) Raja akan bergembira karena pertolongan Allah; orang yang bersumpah demi Allah akan bermegah-megah, tetapi mulut pendusta akan disumbat.
