1{A Song; a Psalm of Asaph.} O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O ùGod:
1Mazmur Asaf: sebuah nyanyian. (83-2) Ya Allah, janganlah membisu, jangan berpangku tangan dan tinggal diam.
2For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.
2(83-3) Lihatlah, musuh-Mu bergolak, orang-orang yang membenci Engkau berontak.
3They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:
3(83-4) Mereka membuat rencana licik melawan umat-Mu; dan berunding melawan orang-orang yang Kaulindungi.
4They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.
4(83-5) Kata mereka, "Mari kita hancurkan bangsa Israel, supaya nama mereka tidak diingat lagi."
5For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
5(83-6) Bangsa-bangsa telah bersekutu, dan bermupakat melawan Engkau:
6The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;
6(83-7) bangsa Edom dan Ismael, orang-orang Moab dan Hagar;
7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
7(83-8) bangsa Gebal, Amon dan Amalek, bangsa Filistea serta penduduk Tirus.
8Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.
8(83-9) Juga Asyur telah bergabung dengan mereka, menjadi kaki tangan keturunan Lot.
9Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:
9(83-10) Perlakukanlah mereka seperti orang Midian, seperti Sisera dan Yabin di Sungai Kison,
10Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.
10(83-11) yang sudah dibinasakan di Endor, dan menjadi pupuk untuk tanah.
11Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.
11(83-12) Perlakukanlah pemimpin mereka seperti Oreb dan Zeeb, tundukkanlah penguasa mereka seperti Zebah dan Salmuna,
12For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.
12(83-13) karena mereka telah berkata, "Mari kita duduki tanah kediaman Allah."
13O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.
13(83-14) Ya Allah, hamburkanlah mereka seperti debu, seperti jerami yang ditiup angin.
14As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
14(83-15) Seperti api yang membakar hutan, nyala api yang menghanguskan gunung-gunung.
15So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
15(83-16) Kejarlah mereka dengan badai-Mu, kejutkan mereka dengan topan-Mu.
16Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
16(83-17) Ya TUHAN, biarlah mereka dihina, supaya mereka mengakui kekuasaan-Mu.
17Let them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:
17(83-18) Biarlah mereka selamanya dipermalukan dan ketakutan, biarlah mereka mati dalam kehinaan.
18That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.
18(83-19) Semoga mereka tahu hanya Engkaulah Yang Mahatinggi, TUHAN, yang menguasai seluruh bumi.
