¹And Jehovah said to Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah: Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹主はモーセに言われた、「あなたはパロのところに行って言いなさい、『主はこう仰せられます、「わたしの民を去らせて、わたしに仕えさせなさい。

²And if thou refuse to let [them] go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs.

²しかし、去らせることを拒むならば、見よ、わたしは、かえるをもって、あなたの領土を、ことごとく撃つであろう。

³And the river shall swarm with frogs, and they shall go up and come into thy house, and into thy bedroom, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy bondmen, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs.

³ナイル川にかえるが群がり、のぼって、あなたの家、あなたの寝室にはいり、寝台にのぼり、あなたの家来と民の家にはいり、またあなたのかまどや、こね鉢にはいり、

⁴And the frogs shall come up both upon thee and upon thy people, and upon all thy bondmen.

⁴あなたと、あなたの民と、すべての家来のからだに、はい上がるであろう」と』」。

⁵And Jehovah said to Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy hand with thy staff over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.

⁵主はモーセに言われた、「あなたはアロンに言いなさい、『つえを持って、手を川の上、流れの上、、池の上にさし伸べ、かえるをエジプトの地にのぼらせなさい』と」。

⁶And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

⁶アロンが手をエジプトの水の上にさし伸べたので、かえるはのぼってエジプトの地をおおった。

⁷And the scribes did so with their sorceries, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.

⁷魔術師らも秘術をもって同じように行い、かえるをエジプトの地にのぼらせた。

⁸And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat Jehovah, that he may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Jehovah.

⁸パロはモーセとアロンを召して言った、「かえるをわたしと、わたしの民から取り去るように主に願ってください。そのときわたしはこの民を去らせて、主に犠牲をささげさせるでしょう」。

⁹And Moses said to Pharaoh, Glory over me, for what time shall I intreat for thee, and for thy bondmen, and for thy people, to cut off the frogs from thee and from thy houses; [so that] they shall remain in the river only?

⁹モーセはパロに言った、「あなたと、あなたの家来と、あなたの民のために、わたしがいつ願って、このかえるを、あなたとあなたの家から断って、ナイル川だけにとどまらせるべきか、きめてください」。

¹⁰And he said, For to-morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word; that thou mayest know that there is none like Jehovah our God.

¹⁰パロは言った、「明日」。モーセは言った、「仰せのとおりになって、わたしたちの神、主に並ぶもののないことを、あなたが知られますように。

¹¹And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy bondmen, and from thy people: they shall remain in the river only.

¹¹そして、かえるはあなたと、あなたの家と、あなたの家来と、あなたの民を離れてナイル川にだけとどまるでしょう」。

¹²And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh; and Moses cried to Jehovah because of the frogs that he had brought against Pharaoh.

¹²こうしてモーセとアロンはパロを離れて出た。モーセは主がパロにつかわされたかえるの事について、主に呼び求めたので、

¹³And Jehovah did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.

¹³主はモーセのことばのようにされ、かえるは家から、庭から、また畑から死に絶えた。

¹⁴And they gathered them in heaps; and the land stank.

¹⁴これをひと山ひと山に積んだので、地は臭くなった。

¹⁵And Pharaoh saw that there was respite; and he hardened his heart, and hearkened not to them, as Jehovah had said.

¹⁵ところがパロは息つくひまのできたのを見て、主が言われたように、その心をかたくなにして彼らの言うことを聞かなかった。

¹⁶And Jehovah said to Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy staff, and smite the dust of the earth, and it shall become gnats throughout the land of Egypt.

¹⁶主はモーセに言われた、「あなたはアロンに言いなさい、『あなたのつえをさし伸べて地のちりを打ち、それをエジプトの全国にわたって、ぶよとならせなさい』と」。

¹⁷And they did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff, and smote the dust of the earth, and there arose gnats on man and on beast: all the dust of the land became gnats throughout the land of Egypt.

¹⁷彼らはそのように行った。すなわちアロンはそのつえをとって手をさし伸べ、地のちりを打ったので、ぶよは人と家畜についた。すなわち、地のちりはみなエジプトの全国にわたって、ぶよとなった。

¹⁸And the scribes did so with their sorceries, to bring forth gnats; but they could not. And the gnats were on man and on beast.

¹⁸魔術師らも秘術をもって同じように行い、ぶよを出そうとしたが、彼らにはできなかった。ぶよが人と家畜についたので、

¹⁹Then the scribes said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of God! But Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he hearkened not to them, as Jehovah had said.

¹⁹魔術師らはパロに言った、「これは神の指です」。しかし主の言われたように、パロの心はかたくなになって、彼らのいうことを聞かなかった。

²⁰And Jehovah said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh -- behold, he will go out to the water -- and say to him, Thus saith Jehovah, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

²⁰主はモーセに言われた、「あなたは朝早く起きてパロの前に立ちなさい。ちょうど彼は水のところに出ているから彼に言いなさい、『主はこう仰せられる、「わたしの民を去らせて、わたしに仕えさせなさい。

²¹For, if thou do not let my people go, behold, I will send dog-flies upon thee, and upon thy bondmen, and upon thy people, and into thy houses; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of dog-flies, and also the ground on which they are.

²¹あなたがわたしの民を去らせないならば、わたしは、あなたとあなたの家来と、あなたの民とあなたの家とに、あぶの群れをつかわすであろう。エジプトびとの家々は、あぶの群れで満ち、彼らの踏む地もまた、そうなるであろう。

²²And I will distinguish in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no dog-flies shall be there; that thou mayest know that I Jehovah am in the midst of the land.

²²その日わたしは、わたしの民の住むゴセンの地を区別して、そこにあぶの群れを入れないであろう。国の中でわたしが主であることをあなたが知るためである。

²³And I will put a separation between my people and thy people; to-morrow shall this sign be.

²³わたしはわたしの民とあなたの民の間に区別をおく。このしるしは、あす起るであろう」と』」。

²⁴And Jehovah did so; and there came dog-flies in a multitude into the house of Pharaoh, and [into] the houses of his bondmen; and throughout the land of Egypt, the land was corrupted by the dog-flies.

²⁴主はそのようにされたので、おびただしいあぶが、パロの家と、その家来の家と、エジプトの全国にはいってきて、地はあぶの群れのために害をうけた。

²⁵And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, Go, sacrifice to your God in the land.

²⁵そこで、パロはモーセとアロンを召して言った、「あなたがたは行ってこの国の内で、あなたがたの神に犠牲をささげなさい」。

²⁶And Moses said, It is not proper to do so; for we should sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Jehovah our God: lo, if we sacrificed the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, would they not stone us?

²⁶モーセは言った、「そうすることはできません。わたしたちはエジプトびとの忌むものを犠牲として、わたしたちの神、主にささげるからです。もし、エジプトびとの目の前で、彼らの忌むものを犠牲にささげるならば、彼らはわたしたちを石で打たないでしょうか。

²⁷We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Jehovah our God, as he shall command us.

²⁷わたしたちは三日の道のりほど、荒野にはいって、わたしたちの神、主に犠牲をささげ、主がわたしたちに命じられるようにしなければなりません」。

²⁸And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Jehovah your God in the wilderness; only, go not very far away: intreat for me!

²⁸パロは言った、「わたしはあなたがたを去らせ、荒野で、あなたがたの神、主に犠牲をささげさせよう。ただあまり遠くへ行ってはならない。わたしのために祈願しなさい」。

²⁹And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and will intreat Jehovah; and the dog-flies will depart from Pharaoh, from his bondmen, and from his people, to-morrow; only let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Jehovah.

²⁹モーセは言った、「わたしはあなたのもとから出て行って主に祈願しましょう。あすあぶの群れがパロと、その家来と、その民から離れるでしょう。ただパロはまた欺いて、民が主に犠牲をささげに行くのをとめないようにしてください」。

³⁰And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated Jehovah.

³⁰こうしてモーセはパロのもとを出て、主に祈願したので、

³¹And Jehovah did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the dog-flies from Pharaoh, from his bondmen, and from his people; there remained not one.

³¹主はモーセの言葉のようにされた。すなわち、あぶの群れをパロと、その家来と、その民から取り去られたので、一つも残らなかった。しかしパロはこんどもまた、その心をかたくなにして民を去らせなかった。

³²And Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and would not let the people go.

³²しかしパロはこんどもまた、その心をかたくなにして民を去らせなかった。
