¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、

²Son of man, set thy face against the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them;

²「人の子よ、あなたの顔をアンモンの人々に向け、これに向かって預言し、

³and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

³アンモンの人々に言え。主なる神の言葉を聞け。主なる神はこう言われる、あなたはわが聖所の汚された時、またイスラエルの地の荒された時、またユダの家が捕え移された時、ああ、それはよい気味であると言った。

⁴therefore behold, I will give thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruits, and they shall drink thy milk.

⁴それゆえ、わたしはあなたを、東の人々に渡して彼らの所有とする。彼らはあなたのうちに陣営を設け、あなたのうちに住居を造り、あなたのくだものを食べ、あなたの乳を飲む。

⁵And I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁵わたしはラバを、らくだを飼う所とし、アンモンびとの町々を、羊の伏す所とする。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを知るようになる。

⁶For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped the hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;

⁶主なる神はこう言われる、あなたはイスラエルの地に向かって手をうち、足を踏み、心に悪意を満たして喜んだ。

⁷therefore behold, I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and will give thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁷それゆえ、見よ、わたしはわが手をあなたに向けて伸べ、あなたを、もろもろの国民に渡して略奪にあわせ、あなたを、もろもろの民の中から断ち、諸国の中から滅ぼし絶やす。そしてあなたは、わたしが主であることを知るようになる。

⁸Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations,

⁸主なる神はわたしにこう言われる、モアブは言った、見よ、ユダの家は、他のすべての国民と同様であると。

⁹therefore behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities even to the last of them, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kirjathaim,

⁹それゆえ、わたしはモアブの境界の町々、すなわち国の栄えであるベテエシモテ、バアルメオン、キリアタイムの横腹を開き、

¹⁰unto the children of the east, with [the land of] the children of Ammon; and I will give it them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations:

¹⁰これをアンモンの人々と共に、東方の人々に与えて、その所有とし、モアブの人々をもろもろの国民の中に記憶させない。

¹¹and I will execute judgments upon Moab, and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹¹わたしはモアブの上にさばきを行う。そのとき、彼らはわたしが主であることを知る。

¹²Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath made himself very guilty, and revenged himself upon them,

¹²主なる神はこう言われる、エドムは恨みをふくんでユダの家に敵対し、これに恨みを返して、はなはだしく罪を犯した。

¹³therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also stretch out my hand upon Edom; and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

¹³それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、わたしはエドムの上に手を伸べて、その中から人と獣とを断ち、これを荒れ地とする。テマンからデダンまで人々はつるぎに倒れる。

¹⁴And I will execute my vengeance upon Edom, by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁴わたしはわが民イスラエルの手をもって、エドムにわがあだを報いる。彼らがわが怒り、わが憤りに従ってエドムに行う時、エドムの人々は、わたしがあだを返すことを知るようになると、主なる神は言われる。

¹⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul, to destroy, from old hatred;

¹⁵主なる神はこう言われる、ペリシテびとは恨みをふくんで行動し、心に悪意をもってあだを返し、深い敵意をもって、滅ぼすことをした。

¹⁶therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I stretch out my hands upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethites, and cause the remnant of the sea-coast to perish.

¹⁶それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしは手をペリシテびとの上に伸べ、ケレテびとを断ち、海べの残りの者を滅ぼす。わたしは怒りに満ちた懲罰をもって、大いなる復讐を彼らになす。わたしが彼らにあだを返す時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる」。

¹⁷And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

¹⁷わたしは怒りに満ちた懲罰をもって、大いなる復讐を彼らになす。わたしが彼らにあだを返す時、彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる」。
