¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

¹主はまたモーセに言われた、

²Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, saying,

²「アロンとその子たち、およびイスラエルのすべての人々に言いなさい、『主が命じられることはこれである。すなわち

³Every one of the house of Israel that slaughtereth an ox, or sheep, or goat, in the camp, or that slaughtereth it out of the camp,

³イスラエルの家のだれでも、牛、羊あるいは、やぎを宿営の内でほふり、または宿営の外でほふり、

⁴and doth not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to Jehovah, before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood shall be reckoned unto that man: he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,

⁴それを会見の幕屋の入口に携えてきて主の幕屋の前で、供え物として主にささげないならば、その人は血を流した者とみなされる。彼は血を流したゆえ、その民のうちから断たれるであろう。

⁵to the end that the children of Israel bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they bring them to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah.

⁵これはイスラエルの人々に、彼らが野のおもてでほふるのを常としていた犠牲を主のもとにひいてこさせ、会見の幕屋の入口におる祭司のもとにきて、これを主にささげる酬恩祭の犠牲としてほふらせるためである。

⁶And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet odour to Jehovah.

⁶祭司はその血を会見の幕屋の入口にある主の祭壇に注ぎかけ、またその脂肪を焼いて香ばしいかおりとし、主にささげなければならない。

⁷And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto demons, after whom they go a whoring. This shall be an everlasting statute unto them for their generations.

⁷彼らが慕って姦淫をおこなったみだらな神に、再び犠牲をささげてはならない。これは彼らが代々ながく守るべき定めである』。

⁸And thou shalt say unto them, Every one of the house of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that offereth up a burnt-offering or sacrifice,

⁸あなたはまた彼らに言いなさい、『イスラエルの家の者、またはあなたがたのうちに宿る寄留者のだれでも、燔祭あるいは犠牲をささげるのに、

⁹and bringeth it not to the entrance of the tent of meeting, to offer it up to Jehovah -- that man shall be cut off from his peoples.

⁹これを会見の幕屋の入口に携えてきて、主にささげないならば、その人は、その民のうちから断たれるであろう。

¹⁰And every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, that eateth any manner of blood, -- I will set my face against the soul that hath eaten blood, and will cut him off from among his people;

¹⁰イスラエルの家の者、またはあなたがたのうちに宿る寄留者のだれでも、血を食べるならば、わたしはその血を食べる人に敵して、わたしの顔を向け、これをその民のうちから断つであろう。

¹¹for the soul of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul.

¹¹肉の命は血にあるからである。あなたがたの魂のために祭壇の上で、あがないをするため、わたしはこれをあなたがたに与えた。血は命であるゆえに、あがなうことができるからである。

¹²Therefore have I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall the stranger who sojourneth among you eat blood.

¹²このゆえに、わたしはイスラエルの人々に言った。あなたがたのうち、だれも血を食べてはならない。またあなたがたのうちに宿る寄留者も血を食べてはならない。

¹³And every one of the children of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that catcheth in the hunt a beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with earth;

¹³イスラエルの人々のうち、またあなたがたのうちに宿る寄留者のうち、だれでも、食べてもよい獣あるいは鳥を狩り獲た者は、その血を注ぎ出し、土でこれをおおわなければならない。

¹⁴for as to the life of all flesh, its blood is the life in it; and I have said unto the children of Israel, Of the blood of no manner of flesh shall ye eat, for the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eateth it shall be cut off.

¹⁴すべて肉の命は、その血と一つだからである。それで、わたしはイスラエルの人々に言った。あなたがたは、どんな肉の血も食べてはならない。すべて肉の命はその血だからである。すべて血を食べる者は断たれるであろう。

¹⁵And every soul that eateth of a dead carcase, or of that which was torn, be it one home-born, or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even: then he shall be clean.

¹⁵自然に死んだもの、または裂き殺されたものを食べる人は、国に生れた者であれ、寄留者であれ、その衣服を洗い、水に身をすすがなければならない。彼は夕まで汚れているが、その後、清くなるであろう。もし、洗わず、また身をすすがないならば、彼はその罪を負わなければならない』」。

¹⁶And if he wash them not nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.
