¹{A Psalm of praise. Of David.} I will extol thee, my God, O King, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

¹わが神、王よ、わたしはあなたをあがめ、世々かぎりなくみ名をほめまつります。

²Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

²わたしは日ごとにあなたをほめ、世々かぎりなくみ名をほめたたえます。

³Great is Jehovah, and exceedingly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

³主は大いなる神で、大いにほめたたえらるべきです。その大いなることは測り知ることができません。

⁴One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

⁴この代はかの代にむかってあなたのみわざをほめたたえ、あなたの大能のはたらきを宣べ伝えるでしょう。

⁵I will speak of the glorious splendour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

⁵わたしはあなたの威厳の光栄ある輝きと、あなたのくすしきみわざとを深く思います。

⁶And they shall tell of the might of thy terrible acts; and thy great deeds will I declare.

⁶人々はあなたの恐るべきはたらきの勢いを語り、わたしはあなたの大いなることを宣べ伝えます。

⁷They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

⁷彼らはあなたの豊かな恵みの思い出を言いあらわし、あなたの義を喜び歌うでしょう。

⁸Jehovah is gracious and merciful; slow to anger, and of great loving-kindness.

⁸主は恵みふかく、あわれみに満ち、怒ることおそく、いつくしみ豊かです。

⁹Jehovah is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.

⁹主はすべてのものに恵みがあり、そのあわれみはすべてのみわざの上にあります。

¹⁰All thy works shall praise thee, Jehovah, and thy saints shall bless thee.

¹⁰主よ、あなたのすべてのみわざはあなたに感謝し、あなたの聖徒はあなたをほめまつるでしょう。

¹¹They shall tell of the glory of thy kingdom, and speak of thy power;

¹¹彼らはみ国の栄光を語り、あなたのみ力を宣べ、

¹²To make known to the children of men his mighty acts, and the glorious splendour of his kingdom.

¹²あなたの大能のはたらきと、み国の光栄ある輝きとを人の子に知らせるでしょう。

¹³Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion is throughout all generations.

¹³あなたの国はとこしえの国です。あなたのまつりごとはよろずよに絶えることはありません。

¹⁴Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all that are bowed down.

¹⁴主はすべて倒れんとする者をささえ、すべてかがむ者を立たせられます。

¹⁵The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their food in its season.

¹⁵よろずのものの目はあなたを待ち望んでいます。あなたは時にしたがって彼らに食物を与えられます。

¹⁶Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

¹⁶あなたはみ手を開いて、すべての生けるものの願いを飽かせられます。

¹⁷Jehovah is righteous in all his ways, and kind in all his works.

¹⁷主はそのすべての道に正しく、そのすべてのみわざに恵みふかく、

¹⁸Jehovah is nigh unto all that call upon him, unto all that call upon him in truth.

¹⁸すべて主を呼ぶ者、誠をもって主を呼ぶ者に主は近いのです。

¹⁹He fulfilleth the desire of them that fear him; he heareth their cry, and saveth them.

¹⁹主はおのれを恐れる者の願いを満たし、またその叫びを聞いてこれを救われます。

²⁰Jehovah keepeth all that love him, and all the wicked will he destroy.

²⁰主はおのれを愛する者をすべて守られるが、悪しき者をことごとく滅ぼされます。わが口は主の誉を語り、すべての肉なる者は世々かぎりなくその聖なるみ名をほめまつるでしょう。

²¹My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
