¹{Michtam of David.} Preserve me, O ùGod: for I trust in thee.

¹神よ、わたしをお守りください。わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。

²Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; --

²わたしは主に言う、「あなたはわたしの主、あなたのほかにわたしの幸はない」と。

³To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight.

³地にある聖徒は、すべてわたしの喜ぶすぐれた人々である。

⁴Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips.

⁴おおよそ、ほかの神を選ぶ者は悲しみを増す。わたしは彼らのささげる血の灌祭を注がず、その名を口にとなえることをしない。

⁵Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

⁵主はわたしの嗣業、またわたしの杯にうくべきもの。あなたはわたしの分け前を守られる。

⁶The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

⁶測りなわは、わたしのために好ましい所に落ちた。まことにわたしは良い嗣業を得た。

⁷I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me.

⁷わたしにさとしをさずけられる主をほめまつる。夜はまた、わたしの心がわたしを教える。

⁸I have set Jehovah continually before me; because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁸わたしは常に主をわたしの前に置く。主がわたしの右にいますゆえ、わたしは動かされることはない。

⁹Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope.

⁹このゆえに、わたしの心は楽しみ、わたしの魂は喜ぶ。わたしの身もまた安らかである。

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁰あなたはわたしを陰府に捨ておかれず、あなたの聖者に墓を見させられないからである。あなたはいのちの道をわたしに示される。あなたの前には満ちあふれる喜びがあり、あなたの右には、とこしえにもろもろの楽しみがある。

¹¹Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
