¹In thee, Jehovah, do I trust: let me never be ashamed.

¹主よ、わたしはあなたに寄り頼む。とこしえにわたしをはずかしめないでください。

²Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me; incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

²あなたの義をもってわたしを助け、わたしを救い出してください。あなたの耳を傾けて、わたしをお救いください。

³Be to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

³わたしのためにのがれの岩となり、わたしを救う堅固な城となってください。あなたはわが岩、わが城だからです。

⁴My God, rescue me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁴わが神よ、悪しき者の手からわたしを救い、不義、残忍な人の支配から、わたしを救い出してください。

⁵For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my confidence from my youth.

⁵主なる神よ、あなたはわたしの若い時からのわたしの望み、わたしの頼みです。

⁶On thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee.

⁶わたしは生れるときからあなたに寄り頼みました。あなたはわたしを母の胎から取り出されたかたです。わたしは常にあなたをほめたたえます。

⁷I have been as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

⁷わたしは多くの人に怪しまれるような者となりました。しかしあなたはわたしの堅固な避け所です。

⁸My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, with thy glory, all the day.

⁸わたしの口はひねもす、あなたをたたえるさんびと、頌栄とをもって満たされています。

⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

⁹わたしが年老いた時、わたしを見離さないでください。わたしが力衰えた時、わたしを見捨てないでください。

¹⁰For mine enemies speak against me, and they that watch for my soul consult together,

¹⁰わたしの敵はわたしについて語り、わたしのいのちをうかがう者は共にはかって、

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver.

¹¹「神は彼を見捨てた。彼を助ける者がないから彼を追って捕えよ」と言います。

¹²O God, be not far from me; my God, hasten to my help.

¹²神よ、わたしに遠ざからないでください。わが神よ、すみやかに来てわたしを助けてください。

¹³Let them be ashamed, let them be consumed, that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

¹³わたしにあだする者を恥じさせ、滅ぼしてください。わたしをそこなわんとする者を、そしりと、はずかしめとをもっておおってください。

¹⁴But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more.

¹⁴しかしわたしは絶えず望みをいだいて、いよいよあなたをほめたたえるでしょう。

¹⁵My mouth shall declare thy righteousness, [and] thy salvation all the day: for I know not the numbers [thereof].

¹⁵わたしの口はひねもすあなたの義と、あなたの救とを語るでしょう。わたしはその数を知らないからです。

¹⁶I will go in the might of the Lord Jehovah; I will recall thy righteousness, thine alone.

¹⁶わたしは主なる神の大能のみわざを携えゆき、ただあなたの義のみを、ほめたたえるでしょう。

¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I proclaimed thy marvellous works:

¹⁷神よ、あなたはわたしを若い時から教えられました。わたしはなお、あなたのくすしきみわざを宣べ伝えます。

¹⁸Now also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto [this] generation, thy might to every one that is to come.

¹⁸神よ、わたしが年老いて、しらがとなるとも、あなたの力をきたらんとするすべての代に宣べ伝えるまで、わたしを見捨てないでください。

¹⁹And thy righteousness, O God, reacheth on high, thou who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee?

¹⁹神よ、あなたの大能と義とは高い天にまで及ぶ。あなたは大いなる事をなされました。神よ、だれかあなたに等しい者があるでしょうか。

²⁰Thou, who hast shewn us many and sore troubles, wilt revive us again, and wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth;

²⁰あなたはわたしを多くの重い悩みにあわされましたが、再びわたしを生かし、地の深い所から引きあげられるでしょう。

²¹Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

²¹あなたはわたしの誉を増し、再びわたしを慰められるでしょう。

²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, my God; unto thee will I sing psalms with the harp, thou holy One of Israel.

²²わが神よ、わたしはまた立琴をもってあなたと、あなたのまこととをほめたたえます。イスラエルの聖者よ、わたしは琴をもってあなたをほめ歌います。

²³My lips shall exult when I sing psalms unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²³わたしがあなたにむかってほめ歌うとき、わがくちびるは喜び呼ばわり、あなたがあがなわれたわが魂もまた喜び呼ばわるでしょう。わたしの舌もまたひねもすあなたの義を語るでしょう。わたしをそこなわんとした者が恥じあわてたからです。

²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day; for they shall be ashamed, for they shall be brought to confusion, that seek my hurt.
