¹And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

¹[Teny anankiray koa ny amin'ny mbola hampodiana sy ny Isiraely sy ny voninahitra mbola ho azony] Ary tonga fanindroany tamin'i Jeremia ny tenin'i Jehovah, raha mbola voahazona teo an-kianjan'ny trano fiambenana ihany izy, nanao hoe:

²Thus saith Jehovah the doer of it, Jehovah that formeth it to establish it, Jehovah is his name:

²Izao no lazain'i Jehovah, Mpanao izany, dia Jehovah Izay namorona izany mba hampitoetra azy; Jehovah no anarany;

³Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and I will shew thee great and hidden things, which thou knowest not.

³Antsoy Aho, dia hovaliako ianao ka hampisehoako zavatra lehibe sy saro-pantarina izay tsy fantatrao.

⁴For thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down because of the mounds and because of the sword:

⁴Fa izao no lazain'i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely; Ny amin'ny trano amin'ity tanàna ity sy ny amin'ny lapan'ny mpanjakan'ny Joda, izay noravana noho ny tovon-tany sy ny sabatra,

⁵They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

⁵Raha mandroso hiady amin'ny Kaldeana izy ka mameno ny trano amin'ny fatin'olona, izay novonoiko tamin'ny fahatezerako sy ny fahavinirako, sady nanafenako ny tavako tamin'ity tanàna ity noho ny faharatsiany rehetra:

⁶Behold, I will apply a healing dressing to it and cure, and I will heal them, and will reveal unto them an abundance of peace and truth.

⁶Dia, indro, hotanterahiko tokoa ny fanasitranana azy, eny, hositraniko izy, ary hasehoko aminy ny haren'ny fiadanana sy ny fahamarinana.

⁷And I will turn the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and will build them, as at the beginning.

⁷Ary ny Joda sy ny Isiraely dia hampodiko avy amin'ny fahababoany, ka haoriko ho toy ny taloha izy.

⁸And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me, and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

⁸Ary hodioviko ho afaka amin'ny helony rehetra izy, izay nanotany tamiko; Ka havelako ny helony rehetra, izay nanotany sy niodinany tamiko.

⁹And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear of all the good that I do unto them; and they shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

⁹Ary ho anarana mahafaly Ahy izany sady ho dera sy voninahitra ho an'ny firenena rehetra ambonin'ny tany, izay handre ny soa rehetra ataoko aminy; Dia hatahotra sy hangovitra izy noho ny soa rehetra sy noho ny fiadanana rehetra izay hataoko aminy.

¹⁰Thus saith Jehovah: In this place of which ye say, It is waste, without man and without beast! in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

¹⁰Izao no lazain'i Jehovah: Mbola ho re indray eto amin'ity tany ity, izay ataonareo hoe Rava, ka tsy misy olona na biby fiompy intsony dia eto amin'ny tanànan'ny Joda sy ao amin'ny lalamben'i Jerosalema izay efa lao, ka tsy misy olona na mponina na biby fiompy

¹¹there shall again be heard the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that say, Give ye thanks unto Jehovah of hosts; for Jehovah is good, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, -- of them that bring thanksgiving unto the house of Jehovah. For I will turn the captivity of the land as in the beginning, saith Jehovah.

¹¹Ny feo mifaly sy ny feo miravoravo, dia ny feon'ny mpampakatra sy ny feon'ny ampakarina ary ny feon'izay manao hoe: Miderà an'i Jehovah, Tompon'ny maro, fa tsara Izy, fa mandrakizay ny famindram-pony, dia izay mitondra fanati-pisaorana ho ao an-tranon'i Jehovah; Fa hataoko tonga tahaka ny tany aloha ny fahatsarany, hoy Jehovah.[Heb. hampodiko avy amin'ny fahababoana]

¹²Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: In this place which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, there shall again be a habitation of shepherds causing [their] flocks to lie down.

¹²Izao no lazain'i Jehovah, Tompon'ny maro: Eto amin'ity tany efa lao tsy misy olona na biby fiompy ity sy amin'ny tanànany rehetra dia mbola hisy fonenan'ny mpiandry ondry hampandriany ny ondry aman'osiny,

¹³In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that counteth [them], saith Jehovah.

¹³Dia amin'ny tanàna any amin'ny tany havoana sy amin'ny tanàna any amin'ny tany lemaka amoron-tsiraka, ary amin'ny tanana any amin'ny tany atsimo sy amin'ny tanin'ny Benjamina sy amin'ny manodidina an'i Jerosalema ary amin'ny tanànan'ny Joda, ary ny ondry aman'osy mbola handroso araka ny fitondran'ny mpanisa azy, hoy Jehovah.

¹⁴Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will perform the good word which I have spoken unto the house of Israel and unto the house of Judah.

¹⁴Indro, avy ny andro, hoy Jehovah, Izay hanatanterahako ny teny soa, izay nolazaiko ny amin'ny aranak'Isiraely sy ny taranak'i Joda.

¹⁵In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

¹⁵Amin'izany andro izany sy amin'izany fotoana izany dia hampaniry Rantsana marina ho an'i Davida Aho; Ary hanao fitsarana sy fahamarinana amin'ny tany Izy.[Na: Solofo]

¹⁶In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name wherewith she shall be called: Jehovah our Righteousness.

¹⁶Amin'izany andro izany dia hovonjena ny Joda, ary Jerosalema handry fahizay; Ary izao no hanononana azy: Jehovah Fahamarinantsika.

¹⁷For thus saith Jehovah: There shall never fail to David a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

¹⁸neither shall there fail to the priests the Levites a man before me to offer up burnt-offerings, and to burn oblations, and to do sacrifice continually.

¹⁸Ary ny Levita mpisorona tsy ho diso zanakalahy ho eo anatrehako, Mba hanaterany mandrakariva fanatitra dorana sy fanatitra hohanina ary fanatitra hafa alatsa-drà.[Na: sy handoroany fanatitra hohanina]

¹⁹And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,

¹⁹Ary tonga tamin'i Jeremia ny tenin'i Jehovah nanao hoe:

²⁰Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant [in respect] of the day, and my covenant [in respect] of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season,

²⁰Izao no lazain'i Jehovah: Raha mahafoana ny fanekeko ny amin'ny andro sy ny fanekeko ny amin'ny alina ianareo, mba tsy hisy andro sy alina amin'ny fotoany,

²¹[then] shall also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites, the priests, my ministers.

²¹Dia ho azo foanana koa ny fanekeko tamin'i Davida mpanompoko, tsy hananany zanakalahy hanjaka eo amin'ny seza fiandrianany, sy ny amin'ny Levita mpisorona, mpanompoko.

²²As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

²²Toy ny hamaroan'ny kintana eny amin'ny lanitra, izay tsy azo isaina, ary toy ny fasika any amin'ny ranomasina, izay tsy azo afàtra, dia toy izany no hanamaroako ny taranak'i Davida mpanompoko sy ny Levita, izay manao fanompoam-pivavahana ho Ahy.

²³And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,

²³Ary tonga tamin'i Jeremia ny tenin'i Jehovah nanao hoe:

²⁴Hast thou not seen what this people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah had chosen, he hath even cast them off? And they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

²⁴Tsy hitanao va izay nolazain'ity firenena ity hoe: Ny fianakaviana roa izay nofidin'i Jehovah dia efa nariany; Toy izany no anamavoany ny oloko, ka dia tsy vanon-ko firenena eo imasony intsony izy.

²⁵Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night [stand] not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of the heavens and the earth,

²⁵Izao no lazain'i Jehovah: Raha tsy amin'ny andro sy ny alina ny fanekeko, ary raha tsy notendreko ny lalàna fitondrana ny lanitra sy ny tany,Dia hariako ny taranak'i Jakoba sy Davida mpanompoko, ka ny taranany tsy mba hanalako ho mpanapaka ny taranak'i Abrahama sy Isaka ary Jakoba; Fa hampodiko avy amin'ny fahababoana izy ka hamindrako fo.

²⁶[then] will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so as not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will turn their captivity, and will have mercy on them.

²⁶Dia hariako ny taranak'i Jakoba sy Davida mpanompoko, ka ny taranany tsy mba hanalako ho mpanapaka ny taranak'i Abrahama sy Isaka ary Jakoba; Fa hampodiko avy amin'ny fahababoana izy ka hamindrako fo.
