¹{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The heavens declare the glory of ùGod; and the expanse sheweth the work of his hands.

¹[Fanehoana ny voninahitr'Andriamanitra, amin'ny asan'ny tànany, na amin'ny lalàna nomeny] Ho an'ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon'i Davida. Ny lanitra mitory ny voninahitr'Andriamanitra; ary ny habakabaka manambara ny asan'ny tànany.

²Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

²Ny andro samy miteny amin'ny andro mandimby azy, ary ny alina samy manolo-pahalalana amin'ny alina mandimby azy.

³There is no speech and there are no words, yet their voice is heard.

³Tsy misy teny na fiteny anefa; tsy re izay feony. [Na: Izay tsy andrenesana ny feony; na: Izay tsy re ny feony]

⁴Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their language to the extremity of the world. In them hath he set a tent for the sun,

⁴Efa nivoaka ho any amin'ny tany rehetra ny famolainany, ary ny teniny dia mihatra amin'ny faran'izao rehetra izao. Trano-lay ho an'ny masoandro no nataony teo aminy;[Na: feony]

⁵And he is as a bridegroom going forth from his chamber; he rejoiceth as a strong man to run the race.

⁵Ary ny masoandro dia tahaka ny mpampaka-bady mivoaka avy ao an-trano fandriany; sady mifaly tahaka ny lehilahy matanjaka mihazakazaka amin'ny alehany izy.

⁶His going forth is from the end of the heavens, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

⁶Any amin'ny faravodilanitra ny fiposahany, ary ny alehany dia hatramin'ny farany koa, ka tsy misy takona amin'ny hafanany.

⁷The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple;

⁷Tsy misy tsiny ny lalàn'i Jehovah, mamelombelona ny fanahy; mahatoky ny teni-vavolombelon'i Jehovah, mahahendry ny kely saina.

⁸The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes;

⁸Mahitsy ny fandidian'i Jehovah, mahafaly ny fo; madio ny didin'i Jehovah, mampahazava ny maso.

⁹The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether:

⁹Madio ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah, maharitra mandrakizay; marina ny fitsipik'i Jehovah, eny, mahitsy avokoa.

¹⁰They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb.

¹⁰Irina noho ny volamena ireny, eny, noho ny tena volamena betsaka aza; ary mamy noho ny tantely, eny, noho ny tantely mitete avy amin'ny tohotra.

¹¹Moreover, by them is thy servant enlightened; in keeping them there is great reward.

¹¹Ary ny mpanomponao dia hazavain'ireny; amin'ny fitandremana azy misy valiny lehibe.

¹²Who understandeth [his] errors? Purify me from secret [faults].

¹²Raha ny fahatsontsana, dia iza re no mahalala izany? ataovy tsy manan-tsiny aho ny amin'izay ota tsy fantatra.

¹³Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be perfect, and I shall be innocent from great transgression.

¹³Arovy ny mpanomponao tsy ho azon'ny ota sahisahy; aoka tsy hanapaka ahy izany; dia ho marina tokoa aho ka tsy hanan-tsiny ny amin'izay fahadisoana lehibe.Aoka ny tenin'ny vavako sy ny fisainan'ny foko samy hankasitrahana eo imasonao, Jehovah ô, Vatolampiko sy Mpanavotra ahy.

¹⁴Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.

¹⁴Aoka ny tenin'ny vavako sy ny fisainan'ny foko samy hankasitrahana eo imasonao, Jehovah ô, Vatolampiko sy Mpanavotra ahy.
