1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
1¶ I korero ano a Ihowa ki a Mohi, i mea,
2Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to light the lamp continually.
2Whakahaua nga tama a Iharaira kia kawea e ratou ki a koe, he hinu oriwa, hei te mea parakore, hei te mea tuki, mo te whakamarama, kia ka tonu ai nga rama.
3Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron dress it from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations.
4Upon the pure candlestick shall he arrange the lamps before Jehovah continually.
5And thou shalt take fine wheaten flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two tenths.
5Me tiki ano e koe he paraoa pai, ka tunu ai kia tekau ma rua nga keke: kia rua nga whakatekau o te epa ki te keke kotahi.
6And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah.
7And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row; and it shall be a bread of remembrance, an offering by fire to Jehovah.
7Me maka ano hoki e koe he parakihe parakore ki runga i tetahi rarangi, i tetahi rarangi, kia ai taua mea i runga i te taro hei whakamahara, hei whakahere ahi ki a Ihowa.
8Every sabbath day he shall arrange it before Jehovah continually, on the part of the children of Israel: [it is] an everlasting covenant.
8Me whakararangi tonu e ia, i tenei hapati, i tenei hapati, ki te aroaro o Ihowa, he mea mo nga tama a Iharaira; hei kawenata pumau.
9And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of Jehovah's offerings by fire: [it is] an everlasting statute.
9A ma Arona ratou ko ana tama tena; me kai e ratou ki te wahi tapu; he tino tapu hoki tena mana i roto i nga whakahere ahi a Ihowa; hei tikanga pumau.
10And the son of an Israelitish woman -- but withal the son of an Egyptian, -- went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
10¶ A i haere atu i roto i nga tama a Iharaira tetahi tama a tetahi wahine o Iharaira, ko tona papa no Ihipa: na ka whawhai tenei tama a te wahine o Iharaira ki tetahi tangata o Iharaira i roto i te puni;
11and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
12And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah.
13And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
13Na ka korero a Ihowa ki a Mohi, ka mea,
14Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard [him] shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him.
15And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God shall bear his sin.
16And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.
17And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death.
17Ki te whakamate hoki tetahi i tetahi tangata me tino whakamate ano ia;
18And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.
18Ki te whakamate hoki tetahi i te kararehe, me utu e ia; he kararehe mo te kararehe.
19And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
19Ki te mate hoki i te tangata tetahi wahi o tona hoa; me mea ki a ia tana i mea ai:
20breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.
20He whati mo te whati, he kanohi mo te kanohi, he niho mo te niho: ko te mate i meatia e ia ki te tangata, me mea ano ki a ia.
21He that smiteth a beast [mortally] shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man [mortally] shall be put to death.
21Ki te whakamate hoki tetahi i te kararehe, me utu e ia: ki te whakamate hoki tetahi i te tangata, me whakamate ano ia.
22Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God.
22Kia kotahi ano ta koutou whakawa mo te manene, mo te tangata whenua: ko Ihowa hoki ahau, ko to koutou Atua.
23And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
