Leviticus

3

1And if his offering be a sacrifice of peace-offering, -- if he present [it] of the herd, whether a male or female, he shall present it without blemish before Jehovah.
1¶ Na, mehemea he patunga mo te pai tana e tapae ai; ki te mea no nga kau tana whakahere, ahakoa toa, ahakoa uha, kia kohakore tana e tuku ai ki te aroaro o Ihowa.
2And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar round about.
3And he shall present of the sacrifice of peace-offering an offering by fire to Jehovah; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards,
3Na me tapae e ia he whakahere ahi ki a Ihowa i roto i te patunga mo te pai; ko te ngako e whiwhiwhiwhi ana ki nga whekau, me te ngako katoa o nga whekau,
4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the net above the liver which he shall take away as far as the kidneys;
4Me nga whatukuhu e rua, me to reira ngako, tera i te hope, me te taupa i te ate, me nga whatukuhu, me tango tera e ia.
5and Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt-offering which [lieth] on the wood that is upon the fire: [it is] an offering by fire to Jehovah of a sweet odour.
5A me tahu e nga tama a Arona ki te aata, ki runga i te tahunga tinana i runga i nga wahie o te ahi: he whakahere ahi tena, he kakara reka ki a Ihowa.
6And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace-offering to Jehovah be of small cattle, male or female, he shall present it without blemish.
6¶ A, ki te mea no nga hipi tana e tapae ai ki a Ihowa hei patunga mo te pai; he toa, he uha ranei, kei whai koha tana e tuku ai.
7If he present a sheep for his offering, then shall he present it before Jehovah,
7Ki te tapaea e ia he reme hei whakahere mana, me tapae ki te aroaro o Ihowa:
8and shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and slaughter it before the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
8Me popoki hoki tona ringa ki te pane o tana whakahere, ka patu ai ki mua i te tapenakara o te whakaminenga: a ka tauhiuhia ona toto e nga tama a Arona ki te aata a tawhio noa.
9And he shall present of the sacrifice of peace-offering an offering by fire to Jehovah; the fat thereof, the whole fat tail, which he shall take off close by the backbone, and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards,
10and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the net above the liver which he shall take away as far as the kidneys;
10Me nga whatakuhu e rua, me to reira taupa, tera i te hope, me te taupa o te ate, me nga whatukuhu, me tango tera e ia.
11and the priest shall burn it on the altar: [it is] the food of the offering by fire to Jehovah.
11A ma te tohunga e tahu ki runga ki te aata: he kai hoki no ta Ihowa whakahere ahi.
12And if his offering be a goat, then he shall present it before Jehovah.
12A ki te mea he koati tana whakahere, me tapae ki te aroaro o Ihowa:
13And he shall lay his hand on the head of it, and slaughter it before the tent of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof on the altar round about.
13A ka popoki tona ringa ki tona pane, ka patu ai ki mua o te tapenakara o te whakaminenga: a ma nga tama a Arona e tauhiuhi ona toto ki te aata a tawhio noa.
14And he shall present thereof his offering, an offering by fire to Jehovah; the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is on the inwards,
14A me tapae atu e ia tetahi wahi ona hei whakahere ahi mana ki a Ihowa; ko te ngako e whiwhiwhiwhi ana ki nga whekau, me te ngako katoa o nga whekau,
15and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the net above the liver which he shall take away as far as the kidneys;
15Me nga whatukuhu e rua, me to reira ngako, tera i te hope, me te taupa i te ate, me nga whatukuhu, me tango tera e ia.
16and the priest shall burn them on the altar: [it is] the food of the offering by fire for a sweet odour. All the fat [shall be] Jehovah's.
16A me tahu e te tohunga ki te aata: he kai tena no te whakahere ahi, hei kakara reka: ko te ngako katoa ma Ihowa.
17[It is] an everlasting statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings: no fat and no blood shall ye eat.
17Hei tikanga mau tonu tenei mo o koutou whakatupuranga, i o koutou nohoanga katoa, kia kaua e kainga tetahi ngako, toto ranei, e koutou.
