1But there were false prophets also among the people, as there shall be also among you false teachers, who shall bring in by the bye destructive heresies, and deny the master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction;
1എന്നാല്‍ കള്ളപ്രവാചകന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലും ദുരുപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാര്‍ ഉണ്ടാകും; അവര്‍ നാശകരമായ മതഭേദങ്ങളെ നുഴയിച്ചു തങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയ നാഥനെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തന്നേ ശീഘ്രനാശം വരുത്തും.
2and many shall follow their dissolute ways, through whom the way of the truth shall be blasphemed.
2അവരുടെ ദുഷ്കാമപ്രവൃത്തികളെ പലരും അനുകരിക്കും; അവര്‍ നിമിത്തം സത്യമാര്‍ഗ്ഗം ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടും.
3And through covetousness, with well-turned words, will they make merchandise of you: for whom judgment of old is not idle, and their destruction slumbers not.
3അവര്‍ ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹത്തില്‍ കൌശലവാക്കു പറഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളെ വാണിഭം ആക്കും. അവര്‍ക്കും പൂര്‍വ്വകാലംമുതല്‍ ന്യായവിധി താമസിയാതെ വരുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാശം ഉറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.
4For if God spared not [the] angels who had sinned, but having cast them down to the deepest pit of gloom has delivered them to chains of darkness [to be] kept for judgment;
4പാപം ചെയ്ത ദൂതന്മാരെ ദൈവം ആദരിക്കാതെ അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ ചങ്ങലയിട്ടു നരകത്തിലാക്കി ന്യായവിധിക്കായി കാപ്പാന്‍ ഏല്പിക്കയും
5and spared not [the] old world, but preserved Noe, [the] eighth, a preacher of righteousness, having brought in [the] flood upon [the] world of [the] ungodly;
5പുരാതനലോകത്തെയും ആദരിക്കാതെ ഭക്തികെട്ടവരുടെ ലോകത്തില്‍ ജലപ്രളയം വരുത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ നീതിപ്രസംഗിയായ നോഹയെ ഏഴു പേരോടുകൂടെ പാലിക്കയും
6and having reduced [the] cities of Sodom and Gomorrha to ashes, condemned [them] with an overthrow, setting [them as] an example to those that should [afterwards] live an ungodly life;
6സൊദോം ഗൊമോറ എന്ന പട്ടണങ്ങളെ ഭസ്മീകരിച്ചു ഉന്മൂലനാശത്താല്‍ ന്യായം വിധിച്ചു മേലാല്‍ ഭക്തികെട്ടു നടക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും
7and saved righteous Lot, distressed with the abandoned conversation of the godless,
7ദൃഷ്ടാന്തമാക്കിവെക്കയും അധര്‍മ്മികളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ വസിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നാള്‍തോറും അധര്‍മ്മപ്രവൃത്തി കണ്ടും കേട്ടും
8(for the righteous man through seeing and hearing, dwelling among them, tormented [his] righteous soul day after day with [their] lawless works,)
8തന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള മനസ്സില്‍ നൊന്തു അവരുടെ ദുഷ്കാമപ്രവൃത്തിയാല്‍ വലഞ്ഞുപോയ നീതിമാനായ ലോത്തിനെ വിടുവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
9[the] Lord knows [how] to deliver the godly out of trial, and to keep [the] unjust to [the] day of judgment [to be] punished;
9കര്‍ത്താവു ഭക്തന്മാരെ പരീക്ഷയില്‍നിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാനും നീതികെട്ടവരെ, വിശേഷാല്‍ മലിന മോഹംകൊണ്ടു ജഡത്തെ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കയും കര്‍ത്തൃത്വത്തെ നിന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ തന്നേ,
10and specially those who walk after the flesh in [the] lust of uncleanness, and despise lordship. Bold [are they], self-willed; they do not fear speaking injuriously of dignities:
10ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിലെ ദണ്ഡനത്തിന്നായി കാപ്പാനും അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
11when angels, who are greater in might and power, do not bring against them, before the Lord, an injurious charge.
11ബലവും ശക്തിയും ഏറിയ ദൂതന്മാര്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ അവരുടെ നേരെ ദൂഷണവിധി ഉച്ചരിക്കാതിരിക്കെ, ആ ധാര്‍ഷ്ട്യമുള്ള തന്നിഷ്ടക്കാര്‍ മഹിമകളെ ദുഷിപ്പാന്‍ ശങ്കിക്കുന്നില്ല. ജാത്യാപിടിപെട്ടു നശിപ്പാന്‍ പിറന്ന ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത ജന്തുക്കളെപ്പോലെ അവര്‍ അറിയാത്തതിനെ ദുഷിക്കയാല്‍ അനീതിയുടെ കൂലി അനുഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സ്വന്ത വഷളത്വത്താല്‍ നശിച്ചുപോകും.
12But these, as natural animals without reason, made to be caught and destroyed, speaking injuriously in things they are ignorant of, shall also perish in their own corruption,
12അവര്‍ താല്‍ക്കാലിക ഭോഗതൃപ്തി സുഖം എന്നുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹസദ്യകളില്‍ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ വിരുന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞു പുളെക്കുന്ന കറകളും കളങ്കങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.
13receiving [the] reward of unrighteousness; accounting ephemeral indulgence pleasure; spots and blemishes, rioting in their own deceits, feasting with you;
13അവര്‍ വ്യഭിചാരിണിയെ കണ്ടു രസിക്കയും പാപം കണ്ടു തൃപ്തിപ്പെടാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കണ്ണുള്ളവരും സ്ഥിരമില്ലാത്ത ദേഹികളെ വശീകരിക്കുന്നവരും ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹത്തില്‍ അഭ്യാസം തികഞ്ഞ ഹൃദയമുള്ളവരുമായ ശാപയോഗ്യന്മാര്‍.
14having eyes full of adultery, and that cease not from sin, alluring unestablished souls; having a heart practised in covetousness, children of curse;
14അവര്‍ നേര്‍വഴി വിട്ടു തെറ്റി ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാമിന്റെ വഴിയില്‍ നടന്നു.
15having left [the] straight way they have gone astray, having followed in the path of Balaam [the son] of Bosor, who loved [the] reward of unrighteousness;
15അവന്‍ അനീതിയുടെ കൂലി കൊതിച്ചു എങ്കിലും തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു ശാസന കിട്ടി; ഉരിയാടാക്കഴുത മനുഷ്യവാക്കായി ഉരിയാടി പ്രവാചകന്റെ ബുദ്ധിഭ്രമത്തെ തടുത്തുവല്ലോ.
16but had reproof of his own wickedness -- [the] dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the folly of the prophet.
16അവര്‍ വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത കിണറുകളും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു ഔടുന്ന മഞ്ഞു മേഘങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു; അവര്‍ക്കും കൂരിരുട്ടു സംഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
17These are springs without water, and mists driven by storm, to whom the gloom of darkness is reserved [for ever].
17വഴിതെറ്റി നടക്കുന്നവരോടു ഇപ്പോള്‍ അകന്നുവന്നവരെ ഇവര്‍ വെറും വമ്പുപറഞ്ഞു ദുഷ്കാമവൃത്തികളാല്‍ കാമഭോഗങ്ങളില്‍ കുടുക്കുന്നു.
18For [while] speaking great highflown words of vanity, they allure with [the] lusts of [the] flesh, by dissoluteness, those who have just fled those who walk in error,
18തങ്ങള്‍ തന്നേ നാശത്തിന്റെ അടിമകളായിരിക്കെ മറ്റവര്‍ക്കും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെ വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഏതിനോടു തോലക്കുന്നുവോ അതിന്നു അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
19promising them liberty, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a man is subdued, by him is he also brought into slavery.
19കര്‍ത്താവും രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താല്‍ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മാലിന്യം വിട്ടോടിയവര്‍ അതില്‍ വീണ്ടും കുടുങ്ങി തോറ്റുപോയാല്‍ അവരുടെ ഒടുവിലത്തെ സ്ഥിതി ആദ്യത്തേതിനെക്കാള്‍ അധികം വഷളായിപ്പോയി.
20For if after having escaped the pollutions of the world through [the] knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, again entangled, they are subdued by these, their last state is worse than the first.
20തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകിട്ടിയ വിശുദ്ധകല്പനയെ നീതിയുടെ വഴി അറിഞ്ഞശേഷം വിട്ടുകളയുന്നതിനെക്കാള്‍ അതു അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നതു അവര്‍ക്കും നന്നായിരുന്നു.
21For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known [it] to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
21എന്നാല്‍ സ്വന്ത ഛര്‍ദ്ദിക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞ നായെന്നും കുളിച്ചിട്ടു ചളിയില്‍ ഉരളുവാന്‍ തിരിഞ്ഞ പന്നിയെന്നും ഉള്ള സത്യമായ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലുപോലെ അവര്‍ക്കും സംഭവിച്ചു.
22But that [word] of the true proverb has happened to them: [The] dog [has] turned back to his own vomit; and, [The] washed sow to [her] rolling in mud.
