1Thou shalt not accept a false report; extend not thy hand to the wicked, to be an unrighteous witness.
1വ്യാജവര്ത്തമാനം പരത്തരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷിയായിരിപ്പാന് ദുഷ്ടനോടുകൂടെ ചേരരുതു.
2Thou shalt not follow the multitude for evil; neither shalt thou answer in a cause, to go after the multitude to pervert [judgment].
2ബഹുജനത്തെ അനുസരിച്ചു ദോഷം ചെയ്യരുതു; ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാന് ബഹുജനപക്ഷം ചേര്ന്നു വ്യവഹാരത്തില് സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു
3Neither shalt thou favour a poor man in his cause.
3ദരിദ്രന്റെ വ്യവഹാരത്തില് അവനോടു പക്ഷം കാണിക്കരുതു.
4-- If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt certainly bring it back to him.
4നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കാളയോ കഴുതയോ വഴിതെറ്റിയതായി കണ്ടാല് അതിനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.
5If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under its burden, beware of leaving [it] to him: thou shalt certainly loosen [it] with him.
5നിന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത ചുമടിന് കീഴെ കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടാല് അവനെ വിചാരിച്ചു അതിനെ അഴിച്ചുവിടുവാന് മടിച്ചാലും അഴിച്ചുവിടുവാന് അവന്നു സഹായം ചെയ്യേണം.
6Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
6നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള ദരിദ്രന്റെ വ്യവഹാരത്തില് അവന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയരുതു.
7Thou shalt keep far from the cause of falsehood; and the innocent and righteous slay not; for I will not justify the wicked.
7കള്ളക്കാര്യം വിട്ടു അകന്നിരിക്ക; കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവനെയും നീതിമാനെയും കൊല്ലരുതു; ഞാന് ദുഷ്ടനെ നീതീകരിക്കയില്ലല്ലോ.
8And thou shalt take no bribe; for the bribe blindeth those whose eyes are open, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
8സമ്മാനം കാഴ്ചയുള്ളവരെ കുരുടാക്കുകയും നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വാക്കുകളെ മറിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ സമ്മാനം വാങ്ങരുതു.
9And the stranger thou shalt not oppress; for ye know the spirit of the stranger, for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt.
9പരദേശിയെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കരുതുനിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പരദേശികളായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പരദേശിയുടെ അനുഭവം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
10And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and gather in its produce;
10ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെച്ചു വിളവു എടുത്തുകൊള്ക.
11but in the seventh thou shalt let it rest and lie [fallow], that the poor of thy people may eat [of it]; and what they leave, the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thine olive-tree.
11ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തിലോ അതു ഉഴവുചെയ്യാതെ വെറുതെ ഇട്ടേക്ക; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ ദരിദ്രന്മാര് അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിക്കട്ടെ; അവര് ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങള് തിന്നട്ടെ. നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടവും ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷവും സംബന്ധിച്ചും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്ക.
12-- Six days thou shalt do thy work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger may be refreshed.
12ആറു ദിവസം വേല ചെയ്ക; ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിന്റെ കാളയും കഴുതയും വിശ്രമിപ്പാനും നിന്റെ ദാസിയുടെ പുത്രനും പരദേശിയും ആശ്വസിപ്പാനും വേണ്ടി നീ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കേണം.
13And ye shall be on your guard as to everything that I have said unto you; and shall make no mention of the name of other gods -- it shall not be heard in thy mouth.
13ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച എല്ലാറ്റിലും സൂക്ഷ്മതയോടിരിപ്പിന് ; അന്യ ദൈവങ്ങളുടെ നാമം കീര്ത്തിക്കരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു കേള്ക്കയും അരുതു.
14Thrice in the year thou shalt celebrate a feast to me.
14സംവത്സരത്തില് മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം എനിക്കു ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കേണം.
15Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread, (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I have commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt; and none shall appear in my presence empty;)
15പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കേണം; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ആബീബ് മാസത്തില് നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തു ഏഴു ദിവസം പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നുക; അന്നല്ലോ നീ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോന്നതു. എന്നാല് വെറുങ്കയ്യോടെ നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വരരുതു.
16and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labours which thou hast sown in the field, and the feast of in-gathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labours out of the field.
16വയലില് വിതെച്ച വിതയുടെ ആദ്യഫലമെടുക്കുന്ന കൊയ്ത്തുപെരുനാളും ആണ്ടറുതിയില് വയലില് നിന്നു നിന്റെ വേലയുടെ ഫലം കൂട്ടിത്തീരുമ്പോള് കായ്കനിപ്പെരുനാളും ആചരിക്കേണം.
17Three times in the year all thy males shall appear in the presence of the Lord Jehovah.
17സംവത്സരത്തില് മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം നിന്റെ ആണുങ്ങള് എല്ലാം കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വരേണം.
18Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.
18എന്റെ യാഗരക്തം പുളിപ്പുള്ള അപ്പത്തോടുകൂടെ അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ യാഗ മേദസ്സ് ഉഷ:കാലംവരെ ഇരിക്കയുമരുതു.
19The first of the first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
19നിന്റെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ആദ്യവിളവുകളിലെ പ്രഥമഫലം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം. ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെ തള്ളയുടെ പാലില് പാകം ചെയ്യരുതു.
20Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place that I have prepared.
20ഇതാ, വഴിയില് നിന്നെ കാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാന് ഒരു ദൂതനെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് അയക്കുന്നു.
21Be careful in his presence, and hearken unto his voice: do not provoke him, for he will not forgive your transgressions; for my name is in him.
21നീ അവനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കേണം; അവനോടു വികടിക്കരുതു; അവന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളെ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ നാമം അവനില് ഉണ്ടു.
22But if thou shalt diligently hearken unto his voice, and do all that I shall say, then I will be an enemy to thine enemies, and an adversary to thine adversaries.
22എന്നാല് നീ അവന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു ഞാന് കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്താല് നിന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് പകെക്കും; നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് ഞെരുക്കും.
23For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.
23എന്റെ ദൂതന് നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി നടന്നു നിന്നെ അമോര്യ്യര്, ഹിത്യര്, പെരിസ്യര്, കനാന്യര്, ഹിവ്യര്, യെബൂസ്യര് എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവരെ ഞാന് നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കും.
24Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their deeds; but thou shalt utterly destroy them, and utterly shatter their statues.
24അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ നമസ്കരിക്കരുതു; അവയെ സേവിക്കരുതു; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് പോലെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു; അവരെ അശേഷം നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ തകര്ത്തുകളയേണം.
25And ye shall serve Jehovah your God; and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take sickness away from thy midst.
25നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ തന്നേ സേവിപ്പിന് ; എന്നാല് അവന് നിന്റെ അപ്പത്തെയും വെള്ളത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; ഞാന് രോഗങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു അകറ്റിക്കളയും.
26There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days will I fulfil.
26ഗര്ഭം അലസുന്നവളും മച്ചിയും നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഞാന് പൂര്ത്തിയാക്കും.
27I will send my fear before thee, and confound every people to which thou comest, and will make all thine enemies turn their back to thee.
27എന്റെ ഭീതിയെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് അയച്ചു നീ ചെല്ലുന്നേടത്തുള്ള ജാതികളെ ഒക്കെയും അമ്പരപ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ സകല ശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഔടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
28And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
28നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഹിവ്യനെയും കനാന്യനെയും ഹിത്യനെയും ഔടിച്ചുകളവാന് ഞാന് നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി കടുന്നലിനെ അയക്കും.
29I will not drive them out from before thee in one year: lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
29ദേശം ശൂന്യമാകാതെയും കാട്ടുമൃഗം നിനക്കു ബാധയായി പെരുകാതെയും ഇരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അവരെ ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകത്തു നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല.
30By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou art fruitful, and possess the land.
30നീ സന്താനസമ്പന്നമായി ദേശം അടക്കുന്നതുവരെ ഞാന് അവരെ കുറേശ്ശ, കുറേശ്ശ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിച്ചുകളയും.
31And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the river; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, that thou mayest dispossess them from before thee.
31ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദേശം ചെങ്കടല്തുടങ്ങി ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കടല്വരെയും മരുഭൂമിതുടങ്ങി നദിവരെയും ആക്കും; ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; നീ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിച്ചുകളയേണം.
32Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
32അവരോടു എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരോടു എങ്കിലും നീ ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യരുതു.
33They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me; for if thou serve their gods, it is sure to be a snare unto thee.
33നീ എന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്വാന് അവര് ഹേതുവായിത്തീരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു വസിക്കരുതു. നീ അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചാല് അതു നിനക്കു കണിയായി തീരും.
