1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
1യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു
2Speak unto all the assembly of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Holy shall ye be, for I Jehovah your God am holy.
2നീ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളുടെ സര്‍വ്വസഭയോടും പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാന്‍ വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല്‍ നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധരായിരിപ്പിന്‍ .
3Ye shall reverence every man his mother, and his father, and my sabbaths shall ye keep: I am Jehovah your God.
3നിങ്ങള്‍ ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ അമ്മയെയും അപ്പനെയും ഭയപ്പെടേണം; എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള്‍ പ്രമാണിക്കേണംഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
4Ye shall not turn unto idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.
4വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിയരുതു; ദേവന്മാരെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വാര്‍ത്തുണ്ടാക്കരുതു; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
5And if ye sacrifice a sacrifice of peace-offering to Jehovah, ye shall sacrifice it for your acceptance.
5യഹോവേക്കു സമാധാനയാഗം അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിപ്പാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം അര്‍പ്പിക്കേണം.
6On the day when ye sacrifice it shall it be eaten, and on the morrow; and that which remaineth until the third day shall be burned with fire.
6അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്ന ദിവസവും പിറ്റെന്നാളും അതു തിന്നാം; മൂന്നാം ദിവസംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്നതു തീയില്‍ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം.
7And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is an unclean thing: it shall not be accepted.
7മൂന്നാം ദിവസം തിന്നു എന്നു വരികില്‍ അതു അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; പ്രസാദമാകയില്ല.
8And he that eateth it shall bear his iniquity; for he hath profaned the hallowed thing of Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his peoples.
8അതു തിന്നുന്നവന്‍ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കും; യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായതു അവന്‍ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയല്ലോ; അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.
9And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou shalt not gather.
9നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലത്തിലെ വിള നിങ്ങള്‍ കൊയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ വയലിന്റെ അരികു തീര്‍ത്തുകൊയ്യരുതു; നിന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തില്‍ കാലാ പെറുക്കയും അരുതു.
10And thy vineyard shalt thou not glean, neither shalt thou gather what hath been left of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am Jehovah your God.
10നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില്‍ കാലാ പറിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില്‍ വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന പഴം പെറുക്കയും അരുതു. അവയെ ദരിദ്രന്നും പരദേശിക്കും വിട്ടേക്കേണം; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
11Ye shall not steal, and ye shall not deal falsely, and ye shall not lie one to another.
11മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു, ചതിക്കരുതു, ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഭോഷകു പറയരുതു.
12And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.
12എന്റെ നാമത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു കള്ളസ്സത്യം ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
13Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour, neither rob him. The wages of the hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
13ചെകിടനെ ശപിക്കരുതു; കുരുടന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ ഇടര്‍ച്ച വെക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
14Thou shalt not revile a deaf person, and thou shalt not put a stumbling-block before a blind one; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.
14ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തില്‍ അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു; എളിയവന്റെ മുഖം നോക്കാതെയും വലിയവന്റെ മുഖം ആദരിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു നീതിയോടെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കേണം.
15Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shalt not respect the person of the lowly, nor honour the person of the great; in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
15നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്‍ ഏഷണി പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കരുതു; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നായി നിഷ്കര്‍ഷിക്കരുതു; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
16Thou shalt not go about as a talebearer among thy people; thou shalt not stand up against the life of thy neighbour: I am Jehovah.
16സഹോദരനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ദ്വേഷിക്കരുതു; കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പാപം നിന്റെ മേല്‍ വരാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ അവനെ താല്പര്യമായി ശാസിക്കേണം. പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യരുതു.
17Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt earnestly rebuke thy neighbour, lest thou bear sin on account of him.
17നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മക്കളോടു പക വെക്കരുതു; കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
18Thou shalt not avenge thyself, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am Jehovah.
18നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങള്‍ പ്രമാണിക്കേണം. രണ്ടുതരം മൃഗങ്ങളെ തമ്മില്‍ ഇണ ചേര്‍ക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ വയലില്‍ കൂട്ടുവിത്തു വിതെക്കരുതു; രണ്ടു വക സാധനം കലര്‍ന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുതു.
19My statutes shall ye observe. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with another sort; thou shalt not sow thy field with seed of two sorts; and a garment woven of two materials shall not come upon thee.
19ഒരു പുരുഷന്നു നിയമിച്ചവളും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയോ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്തവളുമായ ഒരു ദാസിയോടുകൂടെ ഒരുത്തന്‍ ശയിച്ചാല്‍ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കേണം. എന്നാല്‍ അവള്‍ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമില്ലാത്തവളായാല്‍ അവരെ കൊല്ലരുതു;
20And if a man lie with a woman for copulation, and she is a bondwoman betrothed to a husband, but not at all ransomed, nor hath freedom been given to her, there shall be a chastisement: they shall not be put to death, for she was not free.
20അവന്‍ ചെയ്ത പാപത്തിന്നായി പുരോഹിതന്‍ അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിന്റെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെക്കൊണ്ടു അവന്നു വേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ ചെയ്തപാപം അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.
21And he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, a ram for a trespass-offering.
21നിങ്ങള്‍ ദേശത്തു എത്തി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഉതകുന്ന സകലവിധവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നട്ടശേഷം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അവയുടെ ഫലം പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ ആയിരിക്കേണം; അതു മൂന്നു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു പരിച്ഛേദനയില്ലാത്തതു പോലെ ഇരിക്കേണം; അതു തിന്നരുതു.
22And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath done; and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
22നാലാം സംവത്സരത്തില്‍ അതിന്റെ ഫലമെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സ്തോത്രത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം.
23And when ye come into the land and plant all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count its fruit as uncircumcised, three years shall it be uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of;
23അഞ്ചാം സംവത്സരത്തിലോ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അതിന്റെ ഫലം തിന്നാം; അങ്ങനെ അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചുവരും; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
24and in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy for praise to Jehovah;
24രക്തത്തോടുകൂടിയുള്ളതു തിന്നരുതു; ആഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു; മുഹൂര്‍ത്തം നോക്കരുതു;
25and in the fifth year shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may increase unto you the produce thereof: I am Jehovah your God.
25നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുടി ചുറ്റും വിളുമ്പു വടിക്കരുതു; താടിയുടെ അറ്റം വിരൂപമാക്കരുതു.
26Ye shall eat nothing with the blood. -- Ye shall not practise enchantment, nor use auguries.
26മരിച്ചവന്നുവേണ്ടി ശരീരത്തില്‍ മുറിവുണ്ടാക്കരുതു; മെയ്മേല്‍ പച്ചകുത്തരുതു; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
27-- Ye shall not shave the corners of your head round, neither shalt thou mutilate the corners of thy beard.
27ദേശം വേശ്യാവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു ദുഷ്കര്‍മ്മംകൊണ്ടു നിറയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ മകളെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിക്കു ഏല്പിക്കരുതു.
28And cuttings for a dead person shall ye not make in your flesh, nor put any tattoo writing upon you: I am Jehovah.
28നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള്‍ പ്രമാണിക്കയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തോടു ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കയും വേണം; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
29-- Do not profane thy daughter, to give her up to whoredom; lest the land practise whoredom, and the land become full of infamy.
29വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരുടെയും മന്ത്രവാദികളുടെയും അടുക്കല്‍ പോകരുതു. അവരാല്‍ അശുദ്ധരായ്തീരുവാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും അരുതു. ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
30-- My sabbaths shall ye keep, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.
30നരച്ചവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കയും വൃദ്ധന്റെ മുഖം ബഹുമാനിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും വേണം; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
31-- Turn not unto necromancers and unto soothsayers; seek not after them to make yourselves unclean: I am Jehovah your God.
31പരദേശി നിന്നോടുകൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു പാര്‍ത്താല്‍ അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കരുതു.
32Before the hoary head thou shalt rise up, and shalt honour the face of an old man; and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.
32നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാര്‍ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശി നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു സ്വദേശിയെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കേണം; അവനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം; നിങ്ങളും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പരദേശികളായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
33And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not molest him.
33ന്യായ വിസ്താരത്തിലും അളവിലും തൂക്കത്തിലും നിങ്ങള്‍ അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു.
34As one born among you shall the stranger who sojourneth with you be unto you; and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.
34ഒത്ത തുലാസ്സും ഒത്ത കട്ടിയും ഒത്ത പറയും ഒത്ത ഇടങ്ങഴിയും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
35Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measure of length, in weight, and in measure of capacity:
35നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ എല്ലാ ചട്ടങ്ങളും സകലവിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു അനുസരിക്കേണം; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
36just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin shall ye have: I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37And ye shall observe all my statutes, and all mine ordinances, and do them: I am Jehovah.
