1And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the tent of meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year after their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,

2Take the sum of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, every male, according to their polls;
2നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെയും ആളാംപ്രതി പേര്വഴി ചാര്ത്തി സംഘത്തിന്റെ ആകത്തുക എടുക്കേണം.
3from twenty years and upward, all that go forth to military service in Israel: ye shall number them according to their hosts, thou and Aaron.
3നീയും അഹരോനും യിസ്രായേലില് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു, യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവാന് പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള എല്ലാവരെയും ഗണംഗണമായി എണ്ണേണം.
4And with you there shall be a man for every tribe, a man who is the head of his father's house.
4ഔരോ ഗോത്രത്തില്നിന്നു തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് തലവനായ ഒരുത്തന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.
5And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: for Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

16These were those summoned of the assembly, princes of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

17And Moses and Aaron took these men who are expressed by their names,

18and gathered the whole assembly together on the first of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, according to their polls.

19As Jehovah had commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

22Of the sons of Simeon: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, those that were numbered of them, by the number of the names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

26Of the sons of Judah: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

43നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തില് എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവര് അമ്പത്തുമൂവായിരത്തി നാനൂറു പേര്.
44These are those that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, the twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
44മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു ഒരുവന് വീതം യിസ്രായേല്പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരും കൂടി എണ്ണമെടുത്തവര് ഇവര് തന്നേ.
45And all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, according to their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service in Israel,
45യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായി ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതല് മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരുമായി
46all they that were numbered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
46എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവര് ആകെ ആറു ലക്ഷത്തി മൂവായിരത്തഞ്ഞൂറ്റമ്പതു പേര് ആയിരുന്നു.
47But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
47ഇവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ലേവ്യരെ പിതൃഗോത്രമായി എണ്ണിയില്ല.
48For Jehovah had spoken to Moses, saying,
48ലേവിഗോത്രത്തെ മാത്രം എണ്ണരുതു;
49Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel.
49യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് അവരുടെ സംഖ്യ എടുക്കയും അരുതു എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
50But thou, appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels; and they shall serve it, and round about the tabernacle shall they encamp;
50ലേവ്യരെ സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങള്ക്കും വസ്തുക്കള്ക്കും ഒക്കെ വിചാരകന്മാരായി നിയമിക്കേണം; അവര് തിരുനിവാസവും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വഹിക്കേണം; അവര് അതിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയും തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമടിച്ചു പാര്ക്കയും വേണം.
51and when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encampeth, the Levites shall set it up; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.
51തിരുനിവാസം പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് ലേവ്യര് അതു അഴിച്ചെടുക്കേണം; തിരുനിവാസം അടിക്കുമ്പോള് ലേവ്യര് അതു നിവിര്ത്തേണം; ഒരന്യന് അടുത്തുവന്നാല് മരണ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.
52And the children of Israel shall encamp every man in his camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts;
52യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ഗണംഗണമായി ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ പാളയത്തിലും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൊടിക്കരികെയും ഇങ്ങനെ കൂടാരം അടിക്കേണം.
53but the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there come not wrath upon the assembly of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
53എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സംഘത്തിന്മേല് ക്രോധം ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ലേവ്യര് സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റം പാളയമിറങ്ങേണം; ലേവ്യര് സാക്ഷ്യ നിവാസത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം നോക്കേണം
54And the children of Israel did so; according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses, so did they.
54എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ എല്ലാം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു; അതു പോലെ തന്നെ അവര് ചെയ്തു.
