1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
1യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു
2Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by a dead person:
2സകലകുഷ്ഠരോഗിയെയും സകല സ്രവക്കാരനെയും ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധനായ ഏവനെയും പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു കല്പിക്ക.
3both male and female shall ye put out; outside the camp shall ye put them, that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
3ആണായാലും പെണ്ണായാലും അവരെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കേണം; ഞാന് അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കയാല് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാളയം അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.
4And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp: as Jehovah had said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.
4യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു അവരെ പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു.
5And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
5യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു
6Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any of all the sins of man to work unfaithfulness against Jehovah, and that soul is guilty,
6നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറകഒരു പുരുഷനോ സ്ത്രീയോ യഹോവയോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നടപ്പുള്ള വല്ല പാപവും ചെയ്തിട്ടു കുറ്റക്കാരായാല് ചെയ്ത പാപം
7then they shall confess their sin which they have done; and he shall recompense his trespass according to the principal thereof, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
7അവര് ഏറ്റുപറകയും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു പ്രതിശാന്തിയായി മുതലും അതിന്റെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നും കൂട്ടി, തങ്ങള് അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തവന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.
8And if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, the trespass which is recompensed to Jehovah shall be the priest's, besides the ram of the atonement, wherewith an atonement is made for him.
9യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിലും ഉദര്ച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും അവന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.
9And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present unto the priest, shall be his.
10ആരെങ്കിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചര്പ്പിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കള് അവന്നുള്ളവയായിരിക്കേണം; ആരെങ്കിലും പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്നുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.
10And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatever any man giveth the priest shall be his.
11യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു.
11And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
12നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്വല്ല പുരുഷന്റെയും ഭാര്യ പിഴെച്ചു അവനോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു,
12Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go astray, and commit unfaithfulness against him,
13ഒരുത്തന് അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അതു അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടാതെ മറവായിരിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയാകയും അവള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയില്ലാതിരക്കയും
13and a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and she be defiled in secret, and there be no witness against her, and she have not been caught;
14അവള് ക്രിയയില് പിടിപെടാതിരിക്കയും ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്, അല്ലെങ്കില് ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്
14and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have been defiled, -- or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have not been defiled,
15ആ പുരുഷന് ഭാര്യയെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അവള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വഴിപാടായിട്ടു ഒരിടങ്ങഴി യവപ്പൊടിയും കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അതിന്മേല് എണ്ണ ഒഴിക്കരുതു; കുന്തുരുക്കം ഇടുകയും അരുതു; അതു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗമല്ലോ, അപരാധജ്ഞാപകമായ ഭോജനയാഗം തന്നേ.
15-- then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, a tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an oblation of jealousy, a memorial oblation, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16പുരോഹിതന് അവളെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തേണം.
16And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before Jehovah.
17പുരോഹിതന് ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തില് വിശുദ്ധജലം എടുക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന് തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തെ പൊടി കുറെ എടുത്തു ആ വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം.
17And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and the priest shall take of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, and put it into the water.
18പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തി അവളുടെ തലമുടി അഴിച്ചു അപരാധജ്ഞാപകത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം അവളുടെ കയ്യില് വെക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന്റെ കയ്യില് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.
18And the priest shall set the woman before Jehovah, and uncover the woman's head, and put the memorial oblation in her hands, which is the jealousy offering; and in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter water that bringeth the curse.
19പുരോഹിതന് അവളെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടു പറയേണ്ടതുആരും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും നിനക്കു ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ അശുദ്ധിയിലേക്കു തിരികയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എങ്കില് ശാപകരമായ ഈ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ദോഷം നിനക്കു വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
19And the priest shall adjure her, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone astray in uncleanness, in being with another instead of thy husband, be free from this bitter water that bringeth the curse.
20എന്നാല് നിനക്കു ഭാര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയും നിന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് -
20But if thou hast gone astray to another instead of thy husband, and hast been defiled, and a man other than thy husband have lain with thee,
21അപ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെക്കൊണ്ടു ശാപസത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടുയഹോവ നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കയും ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് നിന്നെ ശാപവും പ്രാക്കും ആക്കിത്തീര്ക്കട്ടെ.
21-- then the priest shall adjure the woman with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman: Jehovah make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when Jehovah doth make thy thigh to shrink, and thy belly to swell;
22ശാപകരമായ ഈ വെള്ളം നിന്റെ കുടലില് ചെന്നു നിന്റെ ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷിയിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറയേണം. അതിന്നു സ്ത്രീആമെന് , ആമെന് എന്നു പറയേണം.
22and this water that bringeth the curse shall enter into thy bowels, to make the belly to swell, and the thigh to shrink. And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
23പുരോഹിതന് ഈ ശാപങ്ങള് ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതി കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തില് കഴുകി കലക്കേണം.
23And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the bitter water,
24അവന് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളം സ്ത്രീയെ കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം; ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും;
24and he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that bringeth the curse, that the water that bringeth the curse may enter into her for bitterness.
25പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം വാങ്ങി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീരാജനം ചെയ്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അര്പ്പിക്കേണം.
25And the priest shall take out of the woman's hand the oblation of jealousy, and shall wave the oblation before Jehovah, and shall present it at the altar.
26പിന്നെ പുരോഹിതന് ഭോജനയാഗത്തില് ഒരു പിടി എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിവേദ്യമായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സ്ത്രീയെ ആ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം.
26And the priest shall take a handful of the oblation as a memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar; and afterwards he shall make the woman drink the water.
27അവള് അശുദ്ധയായി തന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് അവളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും; അവളുടെ ഉദരം വീര്ക്കയും നിതംബം ക്ഷയിക്കയും സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് ശാപഗ്രസ്തയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
27And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed unfaithfulness against her husband, that the water that bringeth the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall shrink; and the woman shall become a curse among her people.
28എന്നാല് സ്ത്രീ അശുദ്ധയാകാതെ നിര്മ്മല ആകുന്നു എങ്കില് അവള്ക്കു ദോഷം വരികയില്ല; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിക്കും.
28But if the woman have not been defiled, and be clean, then she shall be clear, and shall conceive seed.
29ഇതാകുന്നു പാതിവ്രത്യസംശയം സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രമാണം;
29This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth astray to another instead of her husband and is defiled,
30ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയോ ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു, അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവളെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തുമ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് ഈ പ്രമാണമൊക്കെയും അവളില് നടത്തേണം.
30or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon a man, and he is jealous as regards his wife; then shall he set the woman before Jehovah, and the priest shall do to her according to all this law.
31എന്നാല് പുരുഷന് അകൃത്യത്തില് ഔഹരിക്കാരനാകയില്ല; സ്ത്രീയോ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കും.
31Then shall the man be free from iniquity, but that woman shall bear her iniquity.
