¹And Job continued his parable and said,

¹ယောဘသည် လင်္ကာစကားကို ဆက်၍မြွက်ဆို သည်ကား၊

²Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when +God preserved me;

²ငါသည် လွန်လေပြီသောနှစ်၊လ၊ ဘုရားသခင် စောင့်မတော်မူသော နေ့ရက်၌ဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့ တဖန်ဖြစ် ပါစေ။

³When his lamp shone over my head, [and] by his light I walked through darkness;

³ထိုအခါ ဘုရားသခင်၏မီးခွက်သည် ငါ့ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ ထွန်းလင်းသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထိုအလင်းကို ငါအမှီပြု လျက်၊ မိုက်သောအရပ်၌ ရှောက်သွားနိုင်၏။

⁴As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret counsel of +God was over my tent,

⁴ငါ့အသက်ပျိုသောကာလ၊ ငါ့အိမ်၌ဘုရားသခင် နှင့် မိဿဟာယဖွဲ့ရသောအခွင့်ရှိသောကာလ၌၊ ငါဖြစ် သကဲ့သို့ တဖန်ဖြစ်ပါစေ။

⁵When the Almighty was yet with me, my young men round about me;

⁵ထိုအခါ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်သည် ငါ့ဘက်၌ရှိတော်မူ၏။ ငါ့သားသမီးတို့သည်လည်း ငါ့ကိုဝိုင်းလျက် နေကြ၏။

⁶When my steps were bathed in milk, and the rock poured out beside me rivers of oil! ...

⁶ထိုအခါငါသွားသောလမ်း၌ နို့ရည်စီးလေ၏။ ကျောက်ခဲသည်လည်း ငါ့အဘို့ဆီကိုသွန်းလောင်းလေ၏။

⁷When I went out to the gate by the city, when I prepared my seat on the broadway,

⁷ငါသည်မြို့အလယ်၌ ရှောက်၍၊ မြို့တံခါးသို့ သွားလျက်၊ လမ်း၌ ထိုင်ရာကို ပြင်ဆင်လျက်နေစဉ်တွင်၊

⁸The young men saw me, and hid themselves; and the aged arose [and] stood up;

⁸လူပျိုတို့သည် ငါ့ကိုမြင်သဖြင့် ပုန်းရှောင်၍ နေကြ၏။ အသက်ကြီးသူတို့သည်လည်းထ၍ မတ်တတ် နေကြ၏။

⁹Princes refrained from talking, and laid the hand on their mouth;

⁹မင်းသားတို့သည် စကားမပြောဘဲနေ၍၊ မိမိတို့ နှုတ်ကို လက်နှင့် ပိတ်ကြ၏။

¹⁰The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue cleaved to their palate.

¹⁰မှူးမတ်တို့သည်လည်း တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေ၍၊ သူတို့လျှာသည် အာခေါင်၌ကပ်လေ၏။

¹¹When the ear heard [me], then it blessed me, and when the eye saw [me], it gave witness to me;

¹¹လူတို့သည် ငါ့စကားသံကိုကြားသောအခါ ကောင်းကြီးပေးကြ၏။ ငါ့ကိုမြင်သောအခါ ချီးမွမ်းကြ၏။

¹²For I delivered the afflicted that cried, and the fatherless who had no helper.

¹²အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည်ဆင်းရဲသောသူ၊ မိဘမရှိသောသူ၊ ကိုးကွယ်ရာမရသော သူအော်ဟစ်သော အခါ ကယ်တင်တတ်၏။

¹³The blessing of him that was perishing came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.

¹³ပျက်လုသောသူကောင်းကြီးပေးခြင်းကို ငါခံရ၏။ မုတ်ဆိုးမစိတ်နှလုံးကို ရွှင်လန်းစေ၏။

¹⁴I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was as a mantle and a turban.

¹⁴ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းပါရမီကို အဝတ်လုပ်၍ ငါဝတ် ဆင်၏။ တရားသည် ငါ့ဝတ်လုံငါ့ပေါင်းဖြစ်၏။

¹⁵I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame;

¹⁵မျက်စိကန်းသော သူတို့အားငါသည် မျက်စိ ဖြစ်၏။ ခြေဆွံ့သော သူတို့အားခြေဖြစ်၏။

¹⁶I was a father to the needy, and the cause which I knew not I searched out;

¹⁶ဆင်းရဲသောသူတို့၏ အဘဖြစ်၏။ အသိ အကျွမ်းမရှိသော သူတို့၏အမှုကို ငါနားထောင်၏။

¹⁷And I broke the jaws of the unrighteous, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

¹⁷မတရားသောသူ၏အစွယ်တို့ကို ငါချိုး၍၊ သူ လုယူကိုက်စားသော အရာကိုနှုတ်၏။

¹⁸And I said, I shall die in my nest, and multiply my days as the sand;

¹⁸ငါသည် ကိုယ်အသိုက်၌ သေရသောအခွင့် ရှိလိမ့်မည်။ ငါ့အသက်ရှင်သော နေ့ရက်တို့သည် သဲလုံး နှင့်အမျှ များပြားလိမ့်မည်ဟု အောက်မေ့၏။

¹⁹My root shall be spread out to the waters, and the dew will lie all night on my branch;

¹⁹ငါ့အမြစ်သည် ရေနားမှာ ပြန့်ပွါး၏။ ဆီးနှင်း သည် တညဉ့်လုံး ငါ့အခက်အလက်၌ကျ၏။

²⁰My glory shall be fresh in me, and my bow be renewed in my hand.

²⁰ငါ့ဘုန်းသည် အစဉ်ပွင့်လန်းလျက်၊ ငါလေးသည် လည်း ငါ့လက်၌ အားဖြည့်လျက်ရှိ၏။

²¹Unto me they listened, and waited, and kept silence for my counsel:

²¹သူတပါးတို့သည် ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်၍၊ ငါပေးသောအကြံကို ငံ့လင့်လျက် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေကြ၏။

²²After my words they spoke not again, and my speech dropped upon them;

²²ငါပြောပြီးသည် နောက်သူတို့သည် ပြန်၍ မပြော။ ငါ့စကားသည် သူတို့အပေါ်မှာ ရေစက်ကဲ့သို့ ကျ၏။

²³And they waited for me as for the rain, and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

²³မိုဃ်းရေကိုငံ့လင့်သကဲ့သို့ငါ့ကိုငံ့လင့်လျက်၊ ဗနာက်ကျသော မိုဃ်းရေကို ခံချင်သကဲ့သို့၊ သူတို့သည် ပစပ်ကို ကျယ်ကျယ်ဖွင့်လျက်နေကြ၏။

²⁴[If] I laughed on them, they believed [it] not; and they troubled not the serenity of my countenance.

²⁴ငါသည် ပြုံးလျက်သူတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှုသောအခါ၊ သူတို့သည် မယုံနိုင်ကြ။ ငါ့မျက်နှာ၏အလင်းကိုလည်း မပျောက်စေကြ။

²⁵I chose their way, and sat as chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth mourners.

²⁵ငါသည် သူတို့လမ်းကိုပဲ့ပြင်၍ အမြတ်ဆုံးသော နေရာ၌ ထိုင်၏။ ဗိုလ်မြေအလုံးအရင်းနှင့်တကွ ရှင်ဘုရင် ကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ညှိုးငယ်သော သူတို့ကို နှစ်သိမ့်စေသော သူကဲ့သို့၎င်း ငါဖြစ်၏။
